Dream Legend

Chapter 84: Trip to Mount Zhongnan

After going through untold hardships, Wu Shandi, Du Xiaoyong and Pei Lili finally walked out of the mysterious Qiankun Cave.

When they set foot on the land of the real world again, an indescribable emotion surged in their hearts.

The mountains, rivers and land before me, although still familiar, seem particularly intimate at this moment.

Looking back on the various adventures and challenges encountered in the Qiankun Cave, it seems like just a thrilling dream.

However, it was this fantastic journey that gave them a new understanding of the world and ignited their endless desire for the unknown.

In this vast world, there are still too many unsolved mysteries waiting for them to explore. And this magical experience has undoubtedly become the source of motivation for them to pursue their dreams.

In the days to come, they will continue to move forward with this courage and determination to uncover more mysteries hidden in the world.

Their figures seemed to come from another time and space, and were so out of tune with this real world.

The towering skyscrapers and the bustling, noisy crowds around them formed a sharp and strong contrast with everything they experienced in the mysterious Qiankun Cave.

Du Xiaoyong thought to himself, "Now that I have successfully climbed the Kunlun Mountains, why not take advantage of this rare opportunity to go to the legendary Zhongnan Mountain and see the demeanor of the Taoists there?"

Once this thought flashed through his mind, it burned fiercely in his heart like a prairie fire, becoming increasingly uncontrollable.

He was determined to uncover the mystery hidden behind Mount Zhongnan and personally experience the living conditions of those extraordinary monks.

"Since I have climbed Mount Kunlun, I might as well go to Mount Zhongnan to see those Taoist practitioners." Du Xiaoyong suddenly suggested.

His eyes sparkled with curiosity and yearning for the unknown world.

Wu Shandi agreed with Du Xiaoyong's proposal.

He knew that Mount Zhongnan had been a gathering place for ascetics since ancient times. Compared with Mount Kunlun, the natural environment there was more tranquil and peaceful, which was perfect for cultivating one's mind.

Pei Lili is a woman with a strong curiosity. Although she doesn't know much about monasticism, she is full of curiosity about anything new.

She also wanted to see what those legendary ascetics were like.

Wu Shandi and Pei Lili exchanged a look that was both helpless and excited, knowing that Du Xiaoyong's desire to explore the future world had arisen again.

So, after some careful consideration, the three adventurers resolutely embarked on the journey to Mount Zhongnan.

Along the way, they overcame all obstacles, climbed mountains and crossed rivers, and after several days of sleeping in the open air, they finally arrived at the foot of Mount Zhongnan.

The beautiful scenery here is breathtaking: the mountains are undulating, one after another; the streams are flowing in the mountains, the sound of water is pleasant to the ears; the trees are green, the flowers and plants are flourishing, and the scene is full of vitality.

Everything before their eyes was very different from the other world they were in before, but it was full of freshness and mystery.

When they actually stood at the foot of Mount Zhongnan, they were even more shocked by the towering, majestic and spectacular mountains before them.

The mountain peaks reach the sky, with clouds and mist lingering in between, like a fairyland, as if it contains endless mysteries waiting for people to explore and discover.

Faced with such magnificent natural scenery, the three people couldn't help but feel awe, and at the same time they were full of anticipation for the upcoming adventure.

Du Xiaoyong took the lead and walked in front, and as he walked he did not forget to pose in various strange postures he had learned in Qiankun Cave, trying to imitate those mysterious ascetics.

"Look, don't I look like a real Taoist master now?" Du Xiaoyong imitated the movements seriously, but because he was unfamiliar with the movements, he stumbled from time to time, which made Wu Shandi and Pei Lili laugh.

"Xia Xia Du, your Taoist posture is very creative, but are you sure you are not dancing modern dance?" Wu Shandi teased jokingly.

As they were laughing and talking, an old man who looked aged but in good spirits appeared in front of them.

The old man was dressed in a simple Taoist robe and carried a long sword on his back, giving off an immortal temperament.

"My fellow young people, you have come to Mount Zhongnan to seek the way of spiritual practice, but you must know that spiritual practice is not a joke." The old man's voice was calm yet a little mysterious.

Du Xiaoyong immediately stopped smiling and responded seriously, "Senior, I am here because I am interested in the art of cultivation. How can I meet the Taoist master in your mountain?"

The old man smiled and pointed to the mountain: "Go straight along this road and you will naturally meet the person you are looking for." After that, his figure flashed and disappeared into the mist like a ghost.

The three of them looked at each other and set out on their journey to find the truth with great anticipation.

Along the way, they encountered all kinds of strange sights, including squirrels practicing Qigong, talking flowers and plants, and even a group of ants practicing Tai Chi.

Deep in Mount Zhongnan, they discovered an ancient Taoist temple where several ascetics lived.

These monks are dressed like ordinary people, but their eyes reveal a transcendental temperament.

Du Xiaoyong approached them to talk and asked about the mysteries of cultivation. The cultivators were not stingy and told the three of them many principles of cultivation and their understanding of the nature of heaven and earth.

The three of them were fascinated by what they heard. They began to understand that practicing Taoism was not simply about pursuing power, but more of a spiritual purification and improvement of self-awareness.

Here, they learned many methods of self-cultivation and also comprehended the essence of Taoist philosophy.

Finally, they came to a quiet valley where a group of ascetics were performing some mysterious ceremony.

Du Xiaoyong was very excited and was about to step forward to disturb them, but was stopped by a seemingly young female monk.

"If you want to practice Taoism, you must first practice mind. If you are restless and irritable, how can you glimpse the true meaning of Taoism?" The words of the female Taoist were cold and touching.

Du Xiaoyong suddenly realized his impulsiveness and rashness, and began to calm down and observe and learn.

During his time in Mount Zhongnan, he was no longer just looking for fantasy and adventure, but was truly trying to understand and experience the ascetic lifestyle.

As time went by, the lives of the three people in Zhongnan Mountain became more and more peaceful.

Every day they follow the ascetics to meditate, learn Tai Chi, and comprehend the ways of nature.

Here, they found inner peace and a deeper understanding of the world.

They learned calmness, patience, and humility, qualities that made his monastic journey smoother.

Their humor and optimism also brought laughter and a relaxed atmosphere to the monks in Mount Zhongnan.

When the three men bid farewell to Mount Zhongnan and returned to the mortal world, they were no longer the three ignorant adventurers.

Their eyes sparkled with wisdom and they exuded a faint aura of immortality. Although they did not become true ascetics, this experience undoubtedly became a precious treasure in their lives.

When they return to the real world again, they bring back not only rich experiences but also spiritual growth and changes.

Du Xiaoyong's half-joking remark actually started an unexpected spiritual journey, and this journey will become the most precious memory in their lives.
