“This, the cycle of cause and effect, is the way of heaven. The Buddha is compassionate and can change fate against the will of heaven. Therefore, if he wants to return to the top, he must reincarnate for a hundred generations with the body of that unlucky guy before he can regain his golden body.” Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva sighed slightly.

“The reason why the Buddha suffered this disaster is not only because of the backlash caused by the Purifying Mantra, but more importantly, because after the Buddha and Bodhisattva Guanyin worked together to cast a spell, they both died. This caused the Buddhist sect in this world to decline and its fortune to decline. Unless someone at the level of a celestial being voluntarily joins Buddhism, the Buddha can return to the top.” At Chen Fan’s urging, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva slowly told the truth.

After hearing this, Chen Fan pondered for a moment and said, "I wonder how Gao Bao, Green Snake and White Snake are doing. Can they join the Buddhist sect?"

"Haha, of course you can, but everything depends on their own wishes. No one has the right to interfere." Ksitigarbha said with a smile.

After hearing this, Gao Bao thought for a moment and agreed. This made Chen Fan feel relieved. After all, being a monk is definitely not as easy as being single.

As for the Green Snake and the White Snake, they had been working hard to cultivate and become immortals. Now that they could directly join Buddhism, they naturally agreed with joy.

As the swastika mark was absorbed by the three people, their realms began to change. Gao Bao actually broke through the constraints of the elixir and entered the early stage of Xuanxian. The same was true for the White Snake, who entered the early stage of Xuanxian. The Green Snake barely reached the late stage of Tianxian.

A lotus platform appeared under their feet. Gao Bao's hair did not change since it was not very long. His windbreaker turned into a cassock and golden Buddha robe. The clothes of the two blue and white snakes also became similar to those of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva before.

At this moment, the soul of the unlucky ghost was suddenly swallowed by a powerful suction force. Then, on the top of Tianshan Mountain, above the snow-capped peak, the six-foot-tall golden body of Buddha appeared out of thin air, and then slowly turned into the size of an ordinary person.

And then he disappeared again. Inside the Xuantian Tower, Chen Fan, who was still puzzled by the disappearance of the unlucky ghost, suddenly sensed a powerful force. With a flash of golden light, the Buddha appeared in the Xuantian Tower.

"Amitabha, thank you Pluto and Ksitigarbha for helping me find my true body. I am eternally grateful." The Buddha said slowly.

"The Buddha has done good deeds to save the common people. He should not receive such retribution. This is what he deserves." Chen Fan bowed to the Buddha.

"Now, I have returned and will return to Lingshan. I wonder if the King of Hell is willing to go with me." said the Buddha.

"That is what I wish for, but I dare not ask you..."

Chen Fan put away Ksitigarbha's spirit and returned to Lingshan with Buddha, Gao Bao and others.

It turns out that Lingshan, like Pangu Holy Land, exists in different dimensions. Therefore, mortals seeking immortals and Taoism are not allowed to enter.

In the main hall, the Buddha sat at the first seat, Gao Bao and the Green Snake and the White Snake stood below him, while Chen Fan and Ksitigarbha sat beside him.

“Since you have entered my Buddhist sect, you deserve a title. Gao Bao, you were a brave man on earth in your previous life, and you saved the world in the battle against Rahu. Now, you have joined my Buddhist sect when it was in decline. Only then was I able to regain my golden body. I now confer you the title of Eight-Armed Arhat. In the future, in all the heavens and worlds, as well as in all the places of my Buddhist sect, you can enjoy offerings from monks, and you will be ranked first among the Five Hundred Arhats, on an equal footing with the Eighteen Arhats…” the Buddha said slowly.

"Green Snake and White Snake, the two of you have resolved your grievances with Fahai, and you have stepped forward in this critical moment. I am very grateful. I will now confer upon you the title of Golden Light Holy Mother Bodhisattva, the last of the Western Heaven Bodhisattvas. The two of you have a deep sisterly love, so for this reason, I will allow you two to share the Bodhisattva status. When you make meritorious contributions in the future, you can be rewarded..."
