Crossing the Unknown Country

Chapter 125 Visiting the First Neighbor

Qin Mingniang smiled and said, "Then I will take advantage of my age to talk to you more. You have already moved here, so why not visit your neighbors this afternoon and get to know each other better?"

Su Heniang smiled and said, "I'll listen to you, sister-in-law. I'll do whatever you say. We've known Qin Ming for a long time, and we're not strangers. The house is still in our hands thanks to the two brothers, and I have to thank you very much!"

As he said this, he took the gift handed over by Su He and put it in Qin Ming's mother's hands. After the two of them refused for a few times, Qin Ming's mother accepted it and handed it to Qin Ming's wife who followed.

They came to the hall together, sat down and chatted politely. Qin Ming's mother gave a brief introduction of the surrounding neighbors. She poured tea for Su He and Su He's mother and asked them to drink. She started from that side and also talked about how many people there were in each family and what they did roughly, so that when they went to visit, they would know roughly how to address them.

Qin Ming's mother is very talkative, and Qin Ming and his brother have personalities very similar to her, both are very extroverted people.

Su Heniang and Qin Mingniang got along very well, as if they had met each other too late. They were both very interested in the gossip about the neighbors and talked with great interest.

Su He wanted to laugh when he saw them chatting enthusiastically. This is the charm of gossip, which is the same in ancient and modern times.

Su He recalled that her mother and grandmother in her previous life would sometimes talk about these things with the same enthusiasm as now. She now felt that her memory of their faces was becoming increasingly vague, and she could only roughly remember these scenes.

Su He quickly came back to his senses and wondered why he was thinking about his past life. Anyway, he was already dead and could never go back.

She saw Qin Ming's two children and took out candies from her small bag and gave them to them. The two little guys had bulging mouths, like two little hamsters laughing secretly.

Qin Ming's wife smiled and said, "Don't spoil them, these two are very naughty." Then she picked up the younger one and kissed him, and the little guy started to giggle. The older one also came over and hugged her arm, acting like a spoiled child.

Su He found it amusing to watch them. Children are innocent and cute, and their intuitive mothers are the best. Su He forgot that she is also a child now.

Qin Ming's wife touched the two children with her hands and said, "Look how well behaved the elder sister is. This boy is always annoying no matter how old he is."

Su He smiled shyly, feeling a little embarrassed to compare herself with these two little kids.

After Su He's mother and Qin Ming's mother discussed it, they called Su He, who was playing with the two children, to go out together. Su He's mother asked Su He to get some gifts so that they could visit the neighbors. Su He hurried home to get the things he had prepared, and then followed the adults.

The first family was surnamed Wang, and there were three generations living in this house. The old man was old and did not do anything. The male owner was named Wang Qichun, and he worked as a clerk in a pawnshop. He had three children, one boy and two girls. The eldest was studying in a college in the city, and the two girls were fourteen and thirteen years old. His wife's family opened a small grocery store in the city, mainly selling some common items such as pots and pans.

Qin Mingniang went over and knocked on the door: "Is the eldest sister-in-law of the Wang family home? I am Qin Yuniang."

The door of Wang's house opened, and a dark and plump woman of medium height came out. She had small eyes, a smile on her face, and a hearty laugh.

She said, "Sister-in-law Qin is here, please come in! I said I was going to talk to you if I had nothing to do!"

Qin Mingniang smiled and said, "The Su family's wife is here. We are all neighbors from now on, so we should all get to know each other."

She then looked at Su Heniang, who quickly went over to greet her with a smile: "Hello, sister-in-law Wang. I'm your new neighbor. I'm sorry to bother you in the future."

The Wang family's wife immediately returned the greeting: "Sister-in-law of the Su family, you look younger than me, so I am arrogant. From now on, we are neighbors. If you have any troubles, we will help each other."

Then he turned to Qin Mingniang and said, "Don't you agree? Sister-in-law of the Qin family, we are old neighbors, but there is not so much trouble."

Qin Mingniang smiled and said, "I knew you had the least trouble. Yours is the first house I came to. We have known each other for so many years."

The three of them laughed heartily together, and Su He stepped forward and handed the gift to her mother, a large bag of noodles.

Su He Niang took it and handed it over, saying, "This is something I made at home, try it."

Wang's wife said quickly, "How can this be so embarrassing? I haven't even had a cup of tea yet. Let's eat at home at noon! I'll cook some of my specialties today. You must give me some thanks."

Qin Mingniang said, "No, we have to go somewhere else. There will be plenty of time later. You can go in and get busy. We won't go in."
