HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 334 Bathilda Bagshot

The cold and damp rain was replaced by white snow all over the sky, and Hogwarts was already filled with a festive atmosphere.

Just when everyone was looking forward to Christmas, Harry had another nightmare.

Now they were all in the secret chamber, and the fire in the large fireplace was burning brightly, warming Harry's whole body.

Gloria was the first to speak, "Tell me, what did you dream about this time?"

Harry had just finished his morning class today and was already holding his forehead in unbearable pain.

They all understood what was going on, and Ron and Draco carried the man to the Chamber of Secrets together.

"He killed someone—"

A simple sentence made Hermione cover her mouth.

"Gregorovitch?" Gloria asked.

Harry nodded. "It seems that he found some men and cast the Imperius Curse on the officials of the German Ministry of Magic, and found out where Gregorovitch was hiding. After he killed a few Aurors, he forced them to tell him where the wand was. Gregorovitch said that it was stolen by a stranger many years ago."

Harry recalled and continued, "Then Vol... Riddle began Legilimency and saw the thief who was about to escape from the window at night. The thief was very young and looked about the same age as us."

"Do you recognize that face?" Hermione asked him.

Harry immediately shook his head, "No... but he thought of a name, Bagshot, and it seemed that this person knew the thief."

"Bathilda Bagshot," said Gloria. "She was the author of A History of Magic and Dumbledore's neighbor."

"Dumbledore?" Ron was a little surprised to hear the name of Headmaster Dumbledore.

Gloria nodded. "Well, when Dumbledore died, Rita Skeeter planned to write a book about him. She was going to find this neighbor to learn about Dumbledore's unknown past, but I forbad her to explore it."

In fact, Skeeter didn't think about the good content of the article, he just wanted to know the negative things about Dumbledore.

Harry wondered, "V... Riddle also knew this Bathilda?"

"I don't think he knows her." Gloria said, "But Bathilda was able to write A History of Magic, which means she knows a lot about the ancient history of magic. Maybe she tried to find this old man to learn about history."

The legend of the Deathly Hallows is very old, and of course it requires someone who knows enough history to find the traces.

Hermione sighed, "So she lives in Godric's Hollow. Now we have to quickly get the Order of the Phoenix to pick her up. It will be troublesome if the You-Know-Who finds her first."

Harry quickly took out the two-way mirror.

Gloria and Draco knew very well that Bathilda had been taken away long ago, and the person who took her away was Grindelwald.

Skeeter wanted to find Bathilda first, but when he didn't find her, he contacted her to explain the situation. Gloria pretended not to know that she was no longer in Godric's Hollow.

Fortunately, Sirius was bored enough staying in the Burrow. When he heard about this, he immediately got excited and said that he would notify others to come over.

When the connection ended, Gloria said, "It's a pity that Mr. Gregorovitch is still dead."

Harry recalled Gregorovitch's last plea before his death, and felt a little depressed for a moment.

"The Order of the Phoenix has already gone to look for someone. Even if the You-Know-Who can fly, it will take time for him to return from Germany." Draco knew that Harry's perception of this kind happened instantly.

There was silence for a while, and Hermione said, "I asked Professor Binns, and he thought the Deathly Hallows was just a fairy tale, but I checked the history books myself, and the legend of the Elder Wand has been passed down for hundreds of years, and many wizards have killed people for it in the past."

Gloria crossed her arms and said, "Don't think too much about it for now. Wait for the news from the Order of the Phoenix."

After waiting for about ten minutes, Sirius called.

"Bagshot is no longer there. The house has been uninhabited for a long time. There is dust everywhere."

After Sirius finished speaking, Harry's face turned pale, thinking that Bathilda had been captured by Voldemort long ago.

Sirius continued, "We asked people who lived close to the house, and they all said they saw someone pick her up. Bagshot even said goodbye to them, saying he was going to travel abroad and might not come back for several years."

"It's possible that they weren't Death Eaters. They're not polite when arresting people." Gloria said, "Think about the people who were arrested by Death Eaters. They either arrested people openly or quietly. They wouldn't bother taking away an old man who had lived alone for many years."

The colour returned to Harry's face.

"What Leah said makes sense." Sirius agreed with these words, "Bagshot only said he was going on a trip, but he didn't say where he was going, and that was last year."

Not only were they having trouble finding Bagshot, but Voldemort was having trouble finding him as well.

Harry, who was shrouded in the shadow of killing, finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He didn't want to see anyone being killed from Voldemort's perspective again.

"Gregorovitch said it was many years ago. Maybe the thief died a long time ago." Draco made a divergent guess. "In the past hundred years, I haven't heard of a wand that can only make its owner win."

Gloria thought it was a good thing that Grindelwald couldn't know these words, otherwise the curse he cast on Draco would not be a harmless evil curse.

"We will continue to investigate this matter, Harry, don't feel too burdened." Sirius comforted him, "You did a good job."

Ron reached out and patted Harry on the back.

After a brief chat, Harry put away the two-way mirror.

"Christmas is coming soon, you should be careful during the holidays." Gloria reminded and asked, "Hermione, are you going home for Christmas?"

"I'm going to the Burrow. We need to investigate the Deathly Hallows together." Hermione said, "Also, during the summer vacation, I persuaded my parents to close the dental clinic. I will live in France now, and Krum will visit them when he is not competing."

As Harry's best friend at school, Hermione is one of the Death Eaters' main targets.

"We've only just been told this." Harry just learned about the situation of Hermione's parents.

Hermione said helplessly: "There are too many things to do. Besides, my parents are Muggles, so it's much easier for them to go abroad than for wizards."

Later, when Hermione saw the news about Muggles being killed in the reports, she was extremely grateful that she had sent the people away so early.

"That's a good thing." Gloria said, "Then we'll wait for Christmas, and then we can have a meal together."

"Whether you're getting engaged or asking the elves to help remodel and expand my house, I should invite you." Ron was now looking forward to seeing what the Burrow would look like. "Mom said that your engagement gave me more reason to invite you to dinner."

For the first time, Draco sincerely suggested to him, "There are too many people in your family. You should get a bigger living room."

Ron agreed, "I think so too. I'll send a letter to Mom later."

Gloria said nothing. The elf should have finished renovating the burrow by now.

But before the renovation, she gave a few suggestions, which the house-elves made sure to implement.

It was lunch time, so Gloria simply asked them to have lunch together in the secret room.

Although the current situation is serious, many students still want to go home and spend Christmas with their families.

Before we know it, the year is coming to an end.
