HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 323 Evasion Behavior

Because of their correspondence in previous years, Grindelwald's identity was confirmed not long after it was suspected. After all, if he could be friends with Dumbledore, how could he be a bad guy?

His image changed accordingly, his hair changed from blond to silver, his heterochromatic eyes became blue, and his every move revealed elegance.

It wasn't long before school started, and Gloria planned to visit Tonks before school started, and check if the baby in her belly would inherit the werewolf characteristics.

Tonks recently returned home and the house she was staying in in London had been sealed off for her safety.

Today, Andromeda was the only one at home with Tonks, who was on a day off.

"You're here, Leah."

Andromeda welcomed her in, "Ted has something to do today. The Death Eaters have been too rampant recently."

Gloria asked, "Have you been harassed?"

"Someone was walking around, but couldn't get close to the house." Andromeda's expression relaxed a lot when she said this. "Before, a Death Eater got too close and was knocked down by the protective magic you cast. Given their malicious intent, they're probably dead. And now the house has more protection."

"That's good." She was relieved. "How is Tonks doing lately? Is she feeling unwell?"

Speaking of Tonks, Andromeda sighed, "Nothing unpleasant happened, but..."

She hesitated.

"What's going on?" Gloria stopped at the door.

"It's Lupin. He's been worried since Tonks got pregnant... You know he's a werewolf, and he's afraid the child will inherit werewolf blood and be born a 'beast'."

"So?" Gloria frowned, "He regrets it? He wants a divorce?"

"That's not the case." Andromeda said quickly, "It's just that he hopes Tonks doesn't want this child. Tonks is very angry. Now they are separated for a while to calm down. I don't know where he went."

Gloria took a deep breath and tried to suppress the anger in her heart.

"I'll go see her."

Tonks was in her room, half leaning on a chair looking at the scenery outside the window. Her hair was no longer the bright pink and purple color it had been before, but had turned gray-brown. One could tell how sad she was just by looking at her hair color.

"Tonks." Gloria walked over to sit next to her and took her hand.

Andromeda saw this at the door and quietly went to the kitchen to prepare some desserts and tea.

"Leah." Tonks forced a bitter smile, "I'm glad you're here."

"I know everything," Gloria said. "Lupin escaped?"

Tonks said nothing, her eyes moistened, "He loves me, but he's afraid the child will be like him."

"So be a coward and get away with this." Gloria said in a cold voice.

Tonks' tears finally fell, "I will not give up on this child. Even if he is a little werewolf, I will love him with all my heart."

Gloria wiped her tears and said, "Don't worry, I am the child's godmother. I will protect him no matter what. In addition to seeing you today, I also want to check on the child."

"Inspection?" Tonks didn't understand for a moment.

"My family has a special method to check the bloodline inheritance of a child." She said, "You should understand that my family attaches great importance to bloodline."

"Really?" Tonks forgot her sadness at this moment. "It would be great if I could find out the cause. I can prepare in advance."

Andromeda made tea, took out the snacks and laid them out, and when they arrived in the room, Tonks was completely immersed in joy.

"Mom!" Her gray-brown hair turned a dreamy purple. "Leah helped me check the baby. He inherited my Metamorphmagus bloodline, not a werewolf."

Andromeda walked over quickly, put the plate aside, and hugged her daughter tightly, "Is this true?"

"It's true." Gloria said, "This magic test has been passed down for thousands of years. It mainly checks whether we, the heirs, have inherited pure blood."

"That's great." As a mother, Andromeda was naturally worried that her daughter would give birth to a werewolf.

"Take good care of it. Don't tell Lupin about this for now. I want to see how long he is prepared to be a coward." Gloria said seriously, "Even if there is a possibility of having a werewolf child, he shouldn't abandon you and run away. He must be willing to face it."

Andromeda patted Tonks' back gently. She agreed with Gloria, "We will keep this a secret from Ted, so that he won't be too happy to be guessed."

Gloria came to the Black old house. Sirius often came here recently, so she came here first to see if she could meet him and visit Harry and the others.

Hearing the footsteps, Kreacher came out of the kitchen without cursing, he could recognize Gloria's footsteps.

"Miss Gloria, do you need tea? Kreacher has purchased new tea."

"Not for now. Bring me some tea when we get back to Slytherin Manor tonight." Gloria squatted down and said to him, "There are other elves taking care of us here. They will only stay for a month."

"Kreacher understands, but Kreacher must guard Black Mansion. This is the home that Master Regulus left to Miss Gloria, and it will be inherited intact by Miss Gloria's children in the future."

Gloria had told him long ago that she would definitely give birth to a child who would inherit the Black surname, and Kreacher was looking forward to this child very much.

Of course, Miss Gloria also loved him.

A head popped out from the stairs, and Harry looked surprised, "Leah, I thought I would see you at the beginning of the school term."

Soon Hermione and Ron came to the stairs and looked down.

"Pure-blood traitor, Muggle wizard... it is your greatest honor to be friends with Miss Gloria."

Kreacher began to mutter again, but he didn't say the word Mudblood.

Harry and the others were already used to it, probably because Gloria had told them in advance, and when Kreacher saw them he didn't yell at them, he just kept muttering to them.

But he was particularly excited when he saw Sirius.

"Have you seen Lupin?" Gloria asked directly. "And Sirius, is he upstairs?"

The three of them were stunned.

It was Ron who whispered, "Sirius isn't here. As for Lupin... he was here, but he didn't make a very pleasant scene."

Kreacher muttered again, "You scum who betrayed the family, don't even think about destroying the Black family's things..."

Gloria simply went upstairs.

The three of them were in the living room at the moment. Hermione's books for the new school year were on the table, and Harry and Ron hadn't finished playing wizard chess.

"Lupin was here. What did he say about Tonks?" she asked.

Harry looked unhappy, "Yes, he regretted it after Tonks became pregnant."

As he said this, he clenched his fists especially tightly.

Gloria, whose face looked even worse than his, had an icy look in her eyes. Ron huddled on the sofa.

If Lupin were here, Ron was sure she would have cast a very vicious curse.

"He thought Tonks would give birth to a werewolf, and she would be like him, hiding from society and not accepted by the whole society." Hermione felt complicated, "But we all think he shouldn't abandon Tonks. Sirius thinks so too."
