HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 304: The Man Who Eavesdropped on the Prophecy

Nothing happened at Hogwarts, except that Crabbe and Goyle were found to have someone do their homework for them, and the professor put them in detention for three weeks.

Their panic and exhaustion were visible to the naked eye, and the professors saw it all, but they had to do it.

Perhaps Dobby listened to Headmaster Dumbledore and did not tell Harry about the passage of the Vanishing Cabinet. He and Ginny would have sweet dates whenever they had time, even though it was getting busier as the end of the school year approached.

In June, Gloria saw Crabbe and Goyle again and found it hard to believe that they had lost weight.

Pansy and Daphne may have sensed something and kept their distance from the two.

While having breakfast in the auditorium, Zabini finally couldn't help but say, "Crabbe and Goyle are sick? Seeing how thin they are, I thought they would never be thin in their lives."

Gloria looked up and found that the two were not only thinner, but also looked very bad, with dark shadows under their eyes.

The school uniform that was once packed full now hangs empty on the body.

Many Slytherin students noticed this, and more and more eyes were cast towards them.

Finally, the two of them couldn't bear it any longer and suddenly stood up and left together.

Draco lied with his eyes wide open, "Maybe they finally realized that they are too fat and need to lose weight."

Zabini said, "I don't believe your nonsense." "It's just a sixth grade homework. It shouldn't make them so exhausted..."

He probably knew that something bad had happened to those two people, but he had no one to turn to for help.

Considering the identity of their father, it could only be related to Voldemort, so he wisely shut up and continued eating.

Theodore suddenly said, "Why don't you continue to guess."

Zabini nearly choked, "If you want to say something, just say it yourself."

Gloria and Draco also looked at him quietly, seeming to agree with what Theodore said.

"Don't trick me." Zabini pretended to be vicious, "I won't be fooled, eat it!"

After a day's classes, Dumbledore finally returned to school.

Bardock excitedly took the letter from the principal and handed it to her solemnly.

Just like before, I went to the office in the evening to discuss things, but the time was more than half an hour earlier than usual. I guess Harry's class was almost over.

Gloria quickly finished her homework after dinner and set out at about 8:15.

By that time Harry would come out just in time for her to go in.

When I almost reached the principal's office, I saw Harry with tears on his face.

Mixed with anger and sadness, he ignored Gloria in front of him and prepared to pass by her.

"Harry!" She grabbed his arm. "What's wrong?"

Harry gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with hatred.

"Tell me about it." Gloria slowed down her tone.

"You want to see Headmaster Dumbledore, right? You can go now. He's inside." Harry said in a hoarse voice, "I want to go back."

Gloria still didn't let go, "You guys had an argument, maybe the principal needs some time to calm down. Tell me what happened."

Harry looked up and said, "Leah, you told me that man wanted to kill me because of a prophecy, but do you know who told him the prophecy?"

She really didn't know this, but Voldemort knew it anyway.

"Oh..." Harry sneered, "It was Snape. Professor Trelawney was interviewing at the Hog's Head Inn and told the prophecy. Snape was eavesdropping outside, but he was caught before he could finish listening because he told Voldemort, and that's why my parents died!"

At the end he blurted out Voldemort's name without hesitation.

Gloria didn't know what to say for a moment. Originally, Snape and Harry disliked each other, and now Harry was going to hate Professor Snape to death.

"He is my enemy. I used to be ashamed of my father bullying him. Now..." Harry didn't know how to express his current feelings.

He lowered his head and continued, "But Headmaster Dumbledore trusted him and let him teach in the school. The headmaster is really getting old and confused!"

"Harry!" Gloria scolded him seriously, "Don't say that about Headmaster Dumbledore. He really is trying his best to save everything."

A look of regret flashed across Harry's face, but he didn't want to apologize for what he had just said.

He clenched his hands, trying his best to control his surging emotions.

"After so many years, Headmaster Dumbledore still chose to trust Snape, which means he must have reasons to be loyal to the Headmaster, but he just can't say it out loud." She speculated, "When a person does something wrong, he will naturally want to make amends if he regrets it."

There is no doubt that Professor Snape was a true Death Eater.

Harry didn't want to talk about this anymore, so he said, "When Trelawney went to hide the wine in the Room of Requirement, he heard the voices of Crabbe and Goyle. They seemed to say that it was almost repaired, but the item had not been found yet. Dobby hasn't gotten much news, so I hope your elf can find out more."

"Have you spoken to Headmaster Dumbledore?"

Harry nodded gloomily, "I'll be going home now."

Seeing how devastated he was, Gloria let go of his hand and said, "Go back and have a good sleep."

Harry left dejected.

Gloria entered the office and Dumbledore sat at the desk, "You talked to Harry."

"Well." She walked forward and sat down, "It was said that the prophecy was revealed by Professor Snape."

"Indeed, Severus regretted it, but no regret in the world can undo the damage caused." Dumbledore sighed, "I can understand Harry's anger, but I trust Severus to be a spy for me sincerely."

"Because of Harry's mother?" Gloria said suddenly. "He regretted Lily's death."

Dumbledore was stunned, as if he didn't expect her to know this.

"Sirius mentioned this to you?"

"No." Gloria shook her head, "But I can guess that, at least before the prophecy, Snape was loyal to Voldemort, but after Harry's parents died, he betrayed."

Dumbledore asked, "How do you know when he will betray?"

Gloria said: "Because you know he eavesdropped on the prophecy, which led to the death of the Potters, but you still let him enter the school as a teacher."

She continued, "Sirius said that Harry's father saved Snape, but given the grudge between them, even if there was such a favor, he would not become a spy because of it. It could only be someone more important who made him make this choice. James Potter was not that person. It could only be Lily Potter. He hoped that Voldemort would fail and save Lily's son because Lily volunteered to die for Harry."

Dumbledore sighed deeply. "He did it for Lily. He told me that Tom believed Harry was the child in the prophecy and asked me to protect Lily. He was willing to do anything for that."

Even as a spy, he remained absolutely loyal to Dumbledore.

Gloria seemed to understand why Snape had been fighting with James since they entered school. In addition to the conflict between the colleges, it might also be because of Lily.

However, it can be seen that Harry is very much attracted to the owner of the book marked Half-Blood Prince.

But the owner of the book is Snape.

For a moment he didn't even dare to imagine what Harry's expression would be when he knew how deeply Snape loved his mother.

"I can't tell you the reason, so Harry can only bear it for now. Professor Snape doesn't care whether he hates him or not." Gloria continued to ask: "So... have you agreed on where to move the Vanishing Cabinet?"
