HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 3 Is the Wand So Fragile?

Harry and Ron explained to Gloria everything about Hogwarts, from the professors who taught the classes to the operating rules of the school's stairs. Gloria listened with so much interest that she didn't even ask them why they drove to Hogwarts.

The two found that Gloria sometimes seemed to know nothing about the magical world, but some of her behaviors indirectly showed that she knew a lot of knowledge that they didn't know.

The joyful communication time passed quickly, and from the carriage window, they saw the majestic Hogwarts.

The twelve Thestrals landed smoothly on the ground. The first thing Gloria did after getting out of the car was to untie the ropes that secured the front wheels. The magic car immediately backed up and turned around. In front of the three people's sight, the trunk was opened with a bang, and the two people's luggage was thrown out mercilessly.

The door of the car opened, and the cage containing Hedwig, which had been damaged at King's Cross Station, was thrown out by the car, and Hedwig flew out screaming.

"Hedwig—"

Harry called out weakly, thinking it must be going back to the owlery.

The cage containing Banban rolled a few times on the ground, and the straw inside was scattered everywhere. The mouse squeaking in fear.

Ron quickly ran over and picked up the cage, his tone distressed, "Scabby, are you okay? Are you hurt?"

The magic car slammed its doors twice and drove off towards the Forbidden Forest.

Gloria pouted her lips. It was no wonder that the magic car was angry. It was almost broken down after flying in the sky for so long.

"NO!"

Ron tried to catch up, but he lost his balance and fell to the ground, with the wand in his hand breaking. "My wand!"

Harry didn't care about the suitcase thrown on the ground and quickly helped the man up. Ron looked at the broken wand and was about to cry. He looked in the direction where the magic car left: "Dad won't let me go..."

Gloria's eyes widened. Is the magic wand so fragile?

He looked at his wand carefully: thirteen inches, acacia wood, dragon heartstring, slightly flexible, a very powerful and proud wand.

The two lost people picked up the suitcases and looked back to see the suitcases placed next to Gloria, but the carriage was gone.

Ron asked doubtfully, "Where's your carriage?"

Gloria looked innocent and said, "Of course I went back. That's my carriage."

These Thestrals were not the same ones from the Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts. While their attention was on the magic car, Gloria secretly fed them magic gems, giving them the strength to return and eat the food prepared by Coco as a reward for their hard work today.

"Let's go. The start-of-term dinner should have just started at this time."

Gloria carried the light suitcase and walked in front, followed by the two boys, but their suitcases seemed much heavier.

After putting their suitcases in the storage room, Harry and Ron were still sighing that they were lucky enough to have eaten something in the carriage.

The three of them looked up and saw the janitor, who was holding a long-haired cat with a bow tie in his arms, with sparse hair and tattered clothes, staring down at them with his light-bulb eyes.

Ron murmured, "Filch..."

Filch looked at Harry and the others with a look of gloating in his eyes, then he lowered his gaze to Gloria, "Professor McGonagall will take you to the headmaster's office to sort you first, and then to the Great Hall."

At this time, the school sorting has been completed and the sorting hat will be in the principal's office.

Then Filch looked at the two unlucky guys, "Look, two students who didn't take the Hogwarts Express... just wait to be expelled."

The hideous smile on Filch's face made Harry and Ron's hearts drop to the bottom.

Seeing Filch turn around and lead the way, Gloria whispered to them, "Don't worry, you won't be expelled."

Not to mention that there was a reason for everything, how could a savior like Harry be expelled? If he couldn't be expelled, Ron naturally couldn't be expelled alone.

With her comfort, the two of them looked a little better.

Soon Professor McGonagall came out and took her to the headmaster's office, where Headmaster Dumbledore was.

In the spacious round room, the walls were covered with portraits of former headmasters, who were sleeping soundly in their frames. This scene made Gloria feel like she was back in the room in Slytherin Manor, where Headmaster Dumbledore sat behind a huge table and the phoenix Fawkes was perched on the shelf.

"Miss Albert, you are not too late. I didn't expect you to come to school in a Thestral carriage."

Dumbledore has silver-white hair and a beard as long as his hair. He has a pair of blue eyes, wears half-moon glasses, and wears a purple robe decorated with warm yellow moons. His face does not look very old, and he exudes a kind and friendly temperament.

"I have a good relationship with them, so I can ask them to help."

The principal was obviously in a good mood today. He took off the Sorting Hat with a smile and put it on Gloria's head. "We have to sort you first."

An old voice came into my mind:

"Well - very special thoughts, brave, somewhat kind, and... strong ambitions. Such pure ambitions without malice, I haven't seen such ambitions in many years. You are such an interesting girl."

Gloria responded sincerely: "Thank you for your appreciation."

"Slytherin!"

The Sorting Hat's answer surprised the good-humored Dumbledore for a moment, but the headmaster quickly reacted and handed her a handful of candy: "Eat some candy. It's getting late. I'll take you to the Great Hall."

Gloria had already changed into her school uniform before leaving, so there was no need to waste time. She went straight to the Great Hall with Dumbledore, holding the candy.

"The candy is delicious, thank you Headmaster Dumbledore."

The brightly colored candies tasted good, with a strong fruity aroma. The food prepared by the house-elves was mostly meals, and she never asked for snacks.

"As you like, this is Honeydukes' marshmallows, specially saved for little girls like you."

After walking through the long corridors and stairs, a wooden door opened and we heard noisy voices. Thousands of candles suspended in the air illuminated the spacious auditorium. The enchanted ceiling allowed us to see the starry sky outside, which was very magical.

Gloria followed the principal inside. The principal suddenly appeared in front of the professor's table with a student, attracting many people's attention.

Dumbledore said loudly: "Be quiet, there is a new student in Hogwarts today, Miss Gloria Alber, who will be a second-year student in Slytherin College."

There was sparse applause from the audience, and Gloria saw that in addition to the principal's seat, there was also an empty teacher's seat.

Professor McGonagall stood up and walked to Headmaster Dumbledore, whispering something in a low voice. Gloria guessed that it was about Harry and Ron, and the empty seat was the position of Professor Snape, the Head of Slytherin.

After hearing what she said, Dumbledore said to Gloria in a gentle voice, "Go find an empty seat at the table over there. When you finish eating, the prefect will take you back to the dormitory."

Gloria nodded obediently and strode towards the Slytherin table.

Just with a glance, Gloria could see the differences between the four houses. When the Hufflepuffs saw her, they all gathered together with curiosity in their eyes; most of the Ravenclaws were calm; and the Gryffindors were inquisitive.

The Slytherins were full of scrutiny. The boys and girls at the table, due to their youth, mostly had not lost their arrogance and arrogance. Each of them sat at the table with their backs straight.

Gloria sat directly among the first-year students, and this was the only empty seat.

Since they were not in the same grade, they just nodded to each other and left it at that.

Gloria looked at the food on the table and had no appetite. She had eaten a lot in the carriage, so she was not hungry now.

She sat there and looked around. Students from other grades, especially the second graders, looked at her without hesitation, trying to guess which family she belonged to.
