LOL: Kaisa's correct evolution manual

Chapter 23: Gaze into the Void

A group of three people set out on a journey to the exit of the Void Land.

Zhang Xu didn't know how Kassadin convinced Kaisa, but it was not difficult to see from their performance and reactions that Kaisa finally compromised after their negotiations.

She still failed to convince her stubborn father to take her with him to find their enemies.

Kassadin was also infected by Kaisa's emotions. He did not resolutely choose to embark on that lonely road with no direction. Instead, he decided to send the two of them out of the void first, and then pursue the traces of the Void Prophet alone.

During this rare time, Kassa felt the long-lost fatherly love.

It was rare for Zhang Xu to see a smile on Kasa's face.

However, happy times are always short-lived.

Even though they had deliberately slowed down and suffered several attacks from void creatures, the exit of the void land was still getting closer and closer.

This means that the time for them to separate is getting closer.

......

Looking at the father and daughter who were talking and laughing, Zhang Xu frowned slightly.

For some reason, the closer Zhang Xu got to the exit of the void, the more uncomfortable he felt.

It is difficult for Zhang Xu to describe this feeling in words. It is as if... someone is spying on him in the abyss of the void.

Zhang Xu subconsciously looked back.

That was the way they came.

The void creatures near this road have basically been cleared out by them, and it is impossible for any void creatures to hide.

So where does this inexplicable sense of voyeurism come from?

Zhang Xu shuddered unconsciously, and suddenly a bad feeling arose in his heart.

He always felt that they might not leave here so easily.

"Zhang Xu? Zhang Xu!"

Kaisa's call woke Zhang Xu from his contemplation. Facing Kaisa and Kassadin's inquiring eyes, Zhang Xu shook his head:

"Maybe it's just my imagination."

Hearing this, the father and daughter looked at each other, both with a solemn expression on their faces.

Among the three, Zhang Xu's senses and observation are undoubtedly the best.

Zhang Xu was able to sense the unusual movements that they were not aware of, so the two did not ignore Zhang Xu's words, but instead became alert instantly.

"No...anything can happen in the void. It's very likely not an illusion."

Kassadin's expression became much more serious, and he subconsciously tightened the Void Blade in his hand.

The situation around me...something does seem to be wrong.

It's so quiet here.

In a place like the Void Land, where void creatures are everywhere, being too quiet may actually harbor even more terrifying crises!

"Zhang Xu, what do you feel?"

Kasa walked to Zhang Xu's side and asked in a low voice.

Although the Void Skin Armor on her body had not given her any warning, Zhang Xu's performance over such a long period of time had completely conquered her.

To be precise, Zhang Xu's judgment has never been wrong.

So now, they might be in real trouble.

Zhang Xu frowned and shook his head vigorously.

No...this feeling is even stronger!

It was as if there was an unscrupulous gaze constantly looking him up and down.

It's as if... it changed from peeping to staring!

This sudden feeling of being stared at made Zhang Xu instantly think of a hero - Eye of the Void, Vel'Koz.

But it seems... not quite like that.

If Viktor had noticed him, its huge body should have appeared in front of him.

But if it wasn't Big Eyes, what else could give him such a strong feeling?

Under this undisguised gaze, Zhang Xu felt a long-lost palpitation in his heart, as if he was being stared at by some indescribable terrifying creature.

The direction of gaze...

It should come from the abyss of the void.

Zhang Xu subconsciously opened his eyes wide, using those completely different eyes as if he had no control over them.

The purple eyes pierced through the layers of darkness and fell into the depths of the distant void.

There was complete darkness.

Faintly, Zhang Xu seemed to see an abyss shrouded by sweeping black clouds.

And beneath the abyss, there seems to be some unknown existence hidden.

The distance is too far...I can't see clearly at all!

No, that's not right. There must be some force blocking my sight!

Zhang Xu gave up this idea, withdrew his gaze, and his face instantly became much uglier.

"Just now I felt a sense of being watched... This feeling made me very uncomfortable. I thought it was a void creature hiding in the dark, waiting for an opportunity to attack us, but then I found out that it was not the case."

“That being seemed to sense that I was watching him. That watching instantly turned into an unbridled gaze… I felt like everything about me was exposed to him without reservation.”

"Now... this feeling is gone. Phew... if He continues for a while longer, I might suffocate."

Zhang Xu was breathing heavily, feeling a little scared.

How dared he just now?

How dare you look in the direction where the gaze came from?

God knows if that unknown creature is some monster that has been sleeping underground for thousands of years...

Fortunately, the gaze of the unknown creature disappeared, and it seemed that it had no intention of bothering with him.

The feeling of being stared at disappeared instantly, as if it had never existed.

Listening to Zhang Xu's description, Kassadin's expression gradually became solemn, and a guess arose in his mind.

"Could it be... Vel'Koz?"

Vel'Koz!

Kassa was instantly terrified. As a child who grew up in a southern desert tribe, she had certainly heard of this name that existed in the ancient legends of Shurima.

According to legend, it seems to be the first void creature to come to Runeterra.

Zhang Xu was just targeted by this terrifying monster?

“Not quite Vel’Koz.”

If it was that guy Viktor, with his fanatical pursuit of knowledge, he would have appeared in front of them a long time ago and tried to decompose them.

How could it possibly disappear?

After receiving negative answers from Kaisa and Kassadin, Zhang Xu's face became completely gloomy.

The worst thing happened.

He just asked Kaisa and Kassadin if they felt the same as he did, but got a negative answer.

In other words, the peeping or staring just now was directed at him alone!

In the void, an ancient and terrifying being set its sights on him.

Only targeting him.

This seemed to mean that the Void had noticed something special about him.
