I almost touched the moon

Chapter 153 This is our home

The place Cheng Che took Wen Song to was Lake Starnberg, located on the outskirts of Munich.

It was a sunny day today. The sun shone on the lake, creating ripples. There were a few white swans playing on the lake, creating a peaceful and tranquil scene.

He parked the car in front of a modern three-story split-level villa built by the lake. There was a huge courtyard in front of the villa and the garden was full of white roses.

The overall color tone of the villa's exterior is mainly white, matched with log-colored door frames and window frames. It adopts a 270-degree floor-to-ceiling window design. There is also a large terrace on the top floor, which not only overlooks the entire Lake Starnberg, but also the snow-capped mountains on the other side of the lake not far away.

After Cheng Che parked the car, he helped her open the door and took her hand as they walked into the house. The heating was on high. Wen Song took off her coat and handed it to Cheng Che naturally, looking around subconsciously.

There is no furniture in the house yet, only some necessary appliances, which makes it look very empty. There is also a fireplace in the center of the living room, which perfectly blends the European classical and modern German architectural aesthetics. The overall color tone is still mainly black, white and gray, combined with the original wood color, which brings some gentleness of Chinese aesthetics and neutralizes the original somewhat rigid decoration style.

"How do you feel, sister?" Cheng Che asked beside her, "Do you like it?"

"Not bad." Wen Song nodded, "Did you design it?"

"Yes." Cheng Che said proudly, "It's my first architectural design work!"

"Yes, that's your design style."

Cheng Che prefers German modern style in his architecture, but perhaps influenced by his parents, he always adds some oriental elements in his architecture, perfectly combining Chinese warmth with German simplicity. It is simple but not monotonous, fashionable and elegant, just like him.

"Sister, you know what kind of architectural style I like?" Cheng Che was very surprised. "I didn't tell you."

Wen Song smiled and said, "Your house always has the same style, how could I not guess it?"

Cheng Che held her hand and walked to the third floor. They sat on the terrace together, basking in the warm sunshine of early spring. He poured her a cup of hot black tea, and they sat on the balcony together to look at the view of Lake Starnberg.

"You obviously have a home in Munich, why do you have to squeeze in with me?"

Wen Song curled her lips helplessly. Although her house was not small, it was not very big either. Especially compared with Cheng Che's lakeside villa, it was a bit cramped.

Cheng Che said, "This is just a house I helped design before. How can it be considered my home? My home is where my sister is. And don't you notice that there is no furniture here? I can't sleep on the floor."

Wen Song also laughed and asked him, "Then why did you bring me here today? Is this another secret base of yours? You really have three burrows."

"If you like it, this will be our home from now on, okay?" Cheng Che looked at her and saw that she didn't show any dissatisfaction, so he spoke carefully.

"In fact, I have wanted to bring my sister here for a long time, because I remember my sister said that you don't like living in the city center because it's too noisy and crowded. And your homes in Zurich and Fussen are both by the lake, so I guess you would like a house by the lake."

"You guessed it right. I really like living by the lake in the suburbs. There aren't many people around, and I can see the snow-capped mountains every day when I open my eyes." Wen Song smiled, "This is also why I like Fussen."

"Then can we live here together in the future?" Cheng Che looked at her expectantly and asked tentatively, "Sister, this is our home. I didn't dare to tell you before because I was worried that it was a bit far from your school and it would be inconvenient for you to go to school. But now, sister doesn't have to go to school. If sister likes, can we live here together?"

"A Che..." Wen Song still hesitated, "This is what your father bought for you. It's not good for me to live here. If you want to live with me, can we live in my house?"

But Cheng Che said to her: "Sister, my dad didn't buy it for me. Although the haus was developed by my dad's company, I designed it and I gave him the money...Sister, I have my own money. I don't rely entirely on my dad..." At the end, his voice became a little uneasy and flustered.

"Ache, I know you are very good." Wen Song still hesitated. She hesitated that if she lived in Cheng Che's house, the meaning would be different. After all, they were just lovers.

“But I still don’t feel good…”

"Okay..." Cheng Che listened to her words, lowered his head silently, and stopped forcing her. After a while, he grabbed Wen Song's hand again and looked at her with tears in his eyes, "Sister... I just want to have a home of our own with you."

"My home is your home." Wen Song touched his head, "Isn't it good to live in my home?"

"Didn't my sister say that you think living in the city is a bit noisy? You can't even go for a walk." Cheng Che explained, "That's why I wanted to ask you if you're willing to live here. Didn't you see the sign at the gate? It says Iseylia & Roche."

Looking at Cheng Che's eyes, Wen Song suddenly softened her heart. She had only occasionally complained that everything was good about her home: good decoration, good facilities, good services, close to school, and convenient for travel, but the only drawback was that it was too close to the city center and the central railway station, so it was a bit noisy.

Unexpectedly, he took it to heart and even took her actual situation into consideration. He brought her here after she finished her classes and completed her practical projects, and carefully asked her if she was willing to live here with him, in their own home.

After she refused and hesitated, he became a little uneasy and lost, and even his beautiful eyes were shining with tears. Moreover, this was designed by Cheng Che himself...

She thought for a long time, nodded and said, "Okay, then we'll live here. I'll pay you 10,000 euros a month as rent, okay? Please draft a house lease contract."

"Absolutely not!" Cheng Che lowered his head and bit her lips gently. "This is my sister and my home. How can my sister pay rent when she lives in her own home? I lived in my sister's house before and didn't pay rent. Absolutely not! If you keep arguing with me about this, I will ignore you!"

"Ache." Wen Song sighed softly. Seeing that he seemed really angry and sat aside angrily and ignored her, she walked up to him and gently hugged him, and asked softly, "Are you really angry?"

"What do you think?" Cheng Che said unhappily, "Everything I have belongs to you, but you still have to settle it with me. I'm not with you just for your money."

Wen Song couldn't help laughing when he heard his words, and said half-jokingly: "I'm afraid you think I'm after your money."

"How is that possible!" Cheng Che had an expression of disbelief on his face, and immediately hugged her tightly, "You don't appreciate this about me, I wish you were after my money, so that I would know how I can treat you well, and you would at least need me. It's not like now, my sister has everything, no matter what I do, it's redundant."

"Silly boy." Wen Song raised his head and kissed his chin. "Ache, you have never been redundant to me. You are very important to me."

"How about we live here?" Cheng Che planned expectantly, "What kind of furniture does Sister like? We'll go and choose it later. I've almost finished the hard furnishings, so you can leave the soft furnishings to Sister. Which bedroom do you like? And, I've prepared another surprise for you. I'll show it to you on the day we move in."

"It's all fine." Wen Song smiled faintly, "I don't understand these either. Just make your decision. I believe in your judgment."

"So what color do you like for your bedroom? Pink? Or like your home? Your home in Zurich is a typical Rococo style, but your home in Munich is more modern. Which one do you prefer?"

"It's all right."

Wen Song doesn't know much about architectural decoration. Her mother hired a designer to design her house in her favorite style. In Munich, she bought a ready-made house that had already been decorated. To her, there is only a difference between good-looking and ugly, and she thinks both styles look good.

"Just arrange it as you like." Wen Song looked at Cheng Che's expectant and excited expression and couldn't help but smile. He interlocked his fingers with him and said, "I believe in your aesthetic taste. I like everything you design."

"That's great." Cheng Che was so excited that he picked her up and spun her around several times. He stood on the terrace with her, looking at the glowing lake, and couldn't help but kiss her eyes.

"Sister, I want you to do me a favor." Cheng Che put his arm around her waist and held her in his arms.

"What?" Wen Song asked, "What do you want me to help you with?"

Cheng Che smiled and said, "I am not a German, nor a resident of the European Union or Switzerland, so I cannot own land in Germany. Can you accompany me to Grundbuch? I want to register this land in your name."

"Really?" Wen Song expressed disbelief and said suspiciously, "Foreigners cannot own land in Germany? I haven't heard of it."

"Really?" Cheng Che said immediately, "That's what my dad said. He said that non-EU/Swiss residents must obtain permanent residency to own land in Germany, and the taxes are also very high, but I don't have permanent residency. If my sister doesn't help me, I can only register it under my dad's name, and I don't want that."

"Wait a minute." Wen Song still expressed doubt, "This rule is too unreasonable. It shouldn't be so outrageous. Wait for me, I'll ask my mother."

"Ah, don't ask, don't ask. Don't bother Lawyer Wen with such a simple matter, sister."

But before he could finish his words, Wen Song had already called Wen Yiheng and immediately asked about what Cheng Che had just said, and turned on the speakerphone.

On the other end of the phone, Wen Yiheng's answer was very brief, "no, no any restriction or extra tax, same as German citizens."

After listening to this, Wen Song simply said, "OK I know, thanks bye", turned to look at Cheng Che and gave a meaningful smile.

Cheng Che felt helpless and ashamed as if his lie had been exposed. Just as he was thinking about how to explain, Wen Song walked up to him, took his hand, and said gently, "It seems that your father lied to you. That's too much."

"Yeah, that's too much." Cheng Che immediately agreed with her words, "How could you lie to me like this? Luckily, sister asked Lawyer Wen for me. But oh sister, it can also be registered under your name, right? Anyway, everything I have is yours, and I am yours too."

"It's not necessary." Wen Song shook his head and said, "It's troublesome, so let's just leave it at that."

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew. Wen Song felt a little cold and wrapped his coat tightly. He turned around and looked at Cheng Che with a sweet smile, "Let's go. You still need to go shopping for furniture. But let's make it clear in advance that I will pay for the furniture."

Cheng Che quickly walked forward, took her into his arms, and gently kissed the corner of her lips, "We are together, this is our home, of course we have to buy furniture together."
