Chapter 136 Quidditch (Part )

"This is Oliver Wood." Professor McGonagall began to introduce Wood, "Wood - I found a seeker for you." Professor McGonagall pointed at Li San.

The expression on Wood's face changed from confusion to joy. "Are you serious, Professor?"

"Absolutely serious." Professor McGonagall said flatly, "Neville swooped down from seventy feet in the sky, caught the falling Malfoy, and brought him to the ground safely. Harry was also very good, and his speed was no slower than the previous seeker."

Professor McGonagall got a little excited when she said this, "Is this really your first time riding a broomstick?"

Harry nodded silently, and seeing Professor McGonagall's expression, he finally realized that he would not be scolded for being called over.

"This is my first time riding a flying broom, but does it count if I've ridden other things before?" Li San pointed outside the window. Goudan was floating outside the window, holding Li San's "broom".

"You mean this ancient magic item? Then you can fly better than any Seeker I've ever seen."

"Have you ever watched a Quidditch match?" Wood asked excitedly, his expression as if his dream had come true.

Although Li San had never watched the game, he spent the last week in the library reading all kinds of books. Of course, he couldn't get the books in the restricted area, but he did understand the rules of Quidditch.

"I know this game, but I don't want to be a seeker, I want to be a hitter!" Li San unexpectedly refused to be a seeker.

Quidditch is a sport similar to football, except that it is played only by wizards and is played in the sky on broomsticks.

A team consists of seven players: three chasers, two beaters, a chaser and a keeper.

There are four balls in the game, a Quaffle, a Golden Snitch, and two Bludgers.

The Chaser's job is to throw the Quaffle into the three goal rings in the opponent's air, and each goal is worth 10 points.

The goalkeeper's job is naturally to prevent the opposing chaser from scoring.

The Bludger will fly all over the field, and when it hits someone it's so powerful it can easily knock them unconscious or knock them off the ground.

The batsman will bring a bat onto the field, not to hit anyone, but to hit the Bludger, keeping it away from his own players and interfering with the opposing players.

The last is the seeker, who is responsible for catching the fastest Golden Snitch. When the Golden Snitch is caught, the game ends and the team that catches the Golden Snitch scores 150 points.

Li San was not interested in jumping around looking for the Golden Snitch. What he was interested in was beating people with a stick.

As for why Li San was interested in joining Gryffindor's Quidditch team, it was naturally because the system triggered a random task, requiring Li San to win the championship once.

Seeing Professor McGonagall and Wood puzzled by his refusal to become a seeker, Li San opened the window, stood on the sword broom, and demonstrated his free hands and flying skills while hanging upside down on the sword broom.

Seeing this scene, Professor McGonagall seemed thoughtful, while Wood's eyes lit up.

"The school has never had a precedent of having first-year students become players. It's understandable for them to serve as seekers given their weak physiques, but beaters need strong bodies. Neville will probably have to wait until next year." McGonagall said helplessly when she saw that Li San only wanted to be a beater.

"As long as I'm strong enough for the competition, that's all, right?" Li San was about the same height as Harry when he entered school. Only a week had passed, but he had obviously grown taller and didn't look as fat as before.

"Yes, professor, you can let Neville train with the team first. There are still nearly three months before the competition. Maybe he will develop quickly!" Wood said these fantastic words in the ears of others.

"I saw them fly before, and Harry is more than capable of being a seeker."

Even though Harry was the only one who made the team, Wood was still very happy, because their previous Seeker had graduated and they hadn't had a decent Seeker since then.

"He's the perfect size to be a Seeker," said Wood, circling Harry to look him over. "Lithe - agile - we must get him a decent broom, Professor - a Nimbus 2000 or a Swinging Seven, I think."

"I'm going to talk to Professor Dumbledore and see if we can make an exception and use the first-year students. Indeed, we need a better Quidditch team than last year. We were defeated badly by the Slytherin team in the last game, and I didn't dare to meet Snape for several weeks..." How could you see a burst of passion on Professor McGonagall's old face?

What they didn't know was that Professor McGonagall was also an excellent Seeker when she was young.

"I want to hear that you are training hard, Potter, otherwise I will change my mind and punish you." As she said this, her serious face suddenly broke into a smile.

"Can I... do it?" Professor McGonagall made Harry lose confidence.

"Your father would be proud of you," Professor McGonagall patted Harry's head, "He used to be an excellent Quidditch player."

"Professor McGonagall, remember to ask for me. I'm really growing very fast!" Li San still remembered the position of the player who picked up the bat and went on the field.

......

At dinner, Li San doubled his food intake, trying to eat enough to grow big enough to join the Quidditch team. The enhancement he gained from absorbing the alien genes was evident at this moment.

Harry was whispering with Ron about what happened after Professor McGonagall took him away from the flying class, and enjoying the look of envy and shock on the other's face.

Then they talked about the embarrassing incident of Malfoy being frightened and fainted. Even Ron's two brothers, Fred and George, who came to join in the fun, burst into laughter. Ron even suspected that Malfoy had wet his pants.

When the group was about to leave after dinner, Malfoy appeared in front of Li San and Harry with his two lackeys.

"I have already told my father about this, so you can just prepare to be fired!" Malfoy looked smug.

"What? I saved you and I'm going to be fired?" Li San looked incredulous.

"Don't think I don't know it was you two who did this." Malfoy was certain.

"Everyone, come and look at that. I just saved Malfoy's life during the flying class this afternoon, and he turned his back on me by asking his father to fire me! Is there still the rule of law? Is there still law?"

What Li San said sounded like the truth.

The little wizards who came over to watch the fun all looked at Malfoy with disdain.

"You're so cruel. If you're brave enough, how about having a wizard duel? Only wands are used, no contact allowed, tonight? You know what wizard duels are." Malfoy smiled sinisterly.

Li San responded with a disdainful smile.

"I'll meet you in the trophy room at midnight. It's never locked." Malfoy said and left.

Li San didn't take it seriously, he got up and walked towards the library.

Harry and Ron were whispering.

"You can't wander around the school at night. Think about it, if you are caught, how many points will Gryffindor lose? And you will definitely be caught, you can't be so selfish." Hermione appeared out of nowhere.

"This has nothing to do with you!" Harry pulled Ron away.

"Goodbye!" Ron made a face.

Only Hermione was left stamping her feet in anger.
