Siheyuan: Kill Jia Dongxu at the beginning and kill the deaf old lady
Chapter 239: Another showdown between mortal enemies!
"Who is so wicked?" Sha Zhu couldn't help but curse.
He quickly thought of a person - Xu Damao.
On weekdays, Xu Damao was always at odds with him. The two of them often quarreled over trivial matters, and sometimes even fought.
Yesterday, the two of them had an unpleasant argument over something in the yard, and Xu Damao even said viciously that he would teach him a lesson.
I didn't expect this to happen so soon.
After Sha Zhu pulled out the thumbtack, the soles of his feet were covered in blood.
He limped back into the house, took some iodine and gauze, and simply treated the wound.
I thought to myself that I couldn't just let this go and I had to settle the score with Xu Damao.
After treating his foot injury, Sha Zhu changed his clothes, endured the pain and walked into the yard, going straight to Xu Damao's house.
He stood in front of Xu Damao's door and knocked hard.
The door banged, and the sound was particularly harsh in the quiet morning.
"Who is it? Why are you knocking on the door so early in the morning?" Xu Damao shouted impatiently.
He slowly opened the door and saw that it was Sha Zhu, with a smug smile on his face.
"Shazhu, why did you come to my house so early? Is there something wrong?" Xu Damao asked with pretended concern.
"Xu Damao, don't play dumb with me. Was it you who did what happened last night?" Sha Zhu said angrily.
Xu Damao still looked innocent and said, "Shazhu, what are you talking about? I was sleeping at home last night and didn't do anything."
"Stop lying to me! When I opened the door this morning, my feet were pierced by a lot of thumbtacks. How dare you say it wasn't you who did it?" Sha Zhu's voice was getting louder and louder, as if he wanted to wake everyone up.
"Do you have any evidence?" Xu Damao sneered, "If you don't have any evidence, don't accuse anyone casually."
Sha Zhu was so angry that he was speechless. He knew that even if he went to the head of the village to complain, it would be useless without evidence.
But he was unwilling to let it go, and secretly swore in his heart that he must find evidence to expose Xu Damao's conspiracy.
At this time, other residents in the courtyard were also awakened and came out to watch the fun.
Everyone was talking about it. Some advised Sha Zhu not to be impulsive, while others suspected that it was really Xu Damao who did it.
"Okay, just wait, I will find evidence!" Sha Zhu glared at Xu Damao fiercely, turned and left.
In the next few days, Sha Zhu kept trying to find evidence.
Observing Xu Damao's every move, hoping to find clues.
But Xu Damao seemed to have been prepared and acted very cautiously, without revealing any flaws at all.
One night, Sha Zhu finally came up with a solution.
He decided to do the opposite and made a bunch of thumbtacks himself and quietly placed them in front of Xu Damao's house.
Then, he hid in a corner not far away, waiting quietly to see Xu Damao's reaction.
As the night deepened, the courtyard became quiet.
Sha Zhu tiptoed with a small box of thumbtacks to the door of Xu Damao's house and carefully scattered the thumbtacks on the ground.
Then he quickly hid in a secluded corner, held his breath, and stared at Xu Damao's door.
Time passed minute by minute, and the courtyard was silent, with only the occasional barking of dogs.
Sha Zhu's heart beat faster and his palms began to sweat. He knew he had to succeed this time.
Suddenly, the door of Xu Damao's house opened a crack and a figure poked his head out stealthily.
Sha Zhu's heart skipped a beat and he held his breath, not daring to make a sound.
The figure walked out of the door cautiously. It was Xu Damao.
He bent down, seemingly examining a thumbtack on the ground.
Sha Zhu saw it clearly, and a smug smile appeared on Xu Damao's face. Then he went back into the house, took out a broom, and carefully swept the thumbtacks aside.
Sha Zhu was secretly proud of himself, because he knew that his plan had succeeded.
Xu Damao really showed his true colors, and he waited patiently, ready to catch him in the act when Xu Damao let his guard down.
Finally, Xu Damao seemed to think everything was safe and prepared to go back into the house.
At this moment, Sha Zhu suddenly rushed out and shouted: "Xu Damao, what are you doing!"
Xu Damao was startled and the broom in his hand fell to the ground.
When he saw Shazhu, his face turned pale and he stammered, "Shazhu, you...why are you here?"
"What am I doing here? You dare to ask me!" Sha Zhu roared, "Look what this is!" He pointed at the thumbtack on the ground and continued, "I saw exactly what you were doing just now!"
Xu Damao panicked, knowing that he had been caught red-handed.
He quickly defended himself, "Shazhu, don't accuse me. I just saw the thumbtacks and was afraid that someone would step on them, so I came out to clean them up."
"Cleaning? Who are you kidding!" Sha Zhu sneered, "Tell the truth yourself, or I'll tell the head of the village about this!"
Seeing that he couldn't argue anymore, Xu Damao had to admit it.
He whispered, “Well, I did it.
But don't make a big deal out of it, let's solve it privately."
Sha Zhu looked at him coldly, and after a while he said, "Why did you do this?"
"Isn't it because of the conflict between us? I was confused for a moment and came up with this bad idea." Xu Damao said with regret on his face.
Sha Zhu sighed and said, "Forget it, I won't pursue it this time, but don't do such immoral things again in the future, otherwise I will never let you go."
Xu Damao nodded repeatedly, indicating that he would never do that again.
After Xu Damao was severely beaten by Sha Zhu, he lay on the ground groaning, and it took him a long time to get up.
His face was pale, cold sweat appeared on his forehead, and he held his stomach with both hands, looking in great pain.
The neighbors gathered around, some pointed and talked, some shook their heads and sighed, but most of them looked at him with gloating eyes.
After all, Xu Damao often relied on his little power to make sarcastic remarks to others from time to time, which made everyone complain about him.
"Xu Damao, you deserve it this time!" a neighbor couldn't help but say, "It's your fault for always causing trouble for Sha Zhu."
"That's right. This time Shazhu has endured enough. It would be a good idea to teach you a lesson so that you will remember it in the future." Another neighbor echoed.
Xu Damao gritted his teeth and hated the situation to death, but at this moment he knew he was not in the right and could only swallow his anger.
I forced myself to stand up and secretly swore in my heart that I would avenge today one day.
He moved back to his home step by step, entered the room, closed the door, and finally couldn't bear the pain anymore and lay down on the bed.
Seeing this, Xu Damao's wife rushed forward to check: "Da Mao, what's wrong with you? How did you get like this?"
