Operation Red Book

Chapter 527 Uninvited Guests in the Ward

The dark moon was shining high in the sky, casting fine silver light. The burnt smoke that had not yet dissipated was illuminated by the light, evaporating into fine sand visible to the naked eye.

Fortunately, the water of the Thames was rippling, and the fine sand was knocked down by the water droplets and sank into the dark pool.

The ship on the river bank docked steadily, rising and falling with the waves.

The largest ship was wandering around in a merriment, with the sounds of singing and cheering coming frequently, lighting up the dull and lonely night.

A breeze blew past the old man smoking on the deck, and mixed with the smell of burnt tobacco, it blew towards another ship not far away.

It was a medical ship jointly built by Chinese and Western countries. Compared with the large ship of Shisanfang, the medical ship was much quieter and gentler.

It was already midnight and the lights in many wards had been turned off. Only a few rooms on night duty had a few dim oil lamps on, like stars in the vast universe, small but warm.

The breeze blew up along the deck and into an open window, lifting the soft white gauze curtains.

The gauze curtain hit Ivy's face, and she blinked unconsciously. The golden light reflected inside brightened and then ignited again.

Ivy sat bored in front of the window, looking at the big ship in the distance through the narrow window, and sighed countless times.

After discovering the new crisis in Thirteen Square, she tried to escape immediately, but the adjutant beside Lestrade had already anticipated her action and quickly brought her back to her original place.

"I'm going to Shisanfang! There are clowns there! The clowns will kill a whole boatload of people!"

Ivy shouted anxiously.

"We at Scotland Yard will handle this matter. Miss Ivy should just rest here."

The adjutant smiled and stopped Ivy's sneak attack, signaling the doctor beside him to act quickly.

"No! I want to go myself! I want to go ..."

Halfway through her unreasonable behavior, Ivy suddenly felt a chill on her neck, and then a cold liquid was injected into her body.

Before she could even scream out in pain, she felt her whole body go limp and she fell like a ball of mud into the hands of the adjutant and the doctor.

She was breathing heavily, and although she was still conscious, she had no strength left.

"Tranquilizer, Miss Ivy, your body is already overdrawn, what you need to do next is to have a good rest..."

The adjutant held Ivy's waist and carried her to the bed in the next ward.

"It was the inspector's order that you stay on board, Miss Ivy."

Looking into Ivy's eyes and speaking a few righteous words, the adjutant stood in the corridor under the light and lowered the brim of his hat.

"It is our duty and mission to maintain social order, handle difficult cases, and protect the safety of ordinary people..."

He said this seriously, without any smile, then turned around and walked quickly out of the ward.

As the sound of the door being locked was heard, Ivy's heart died halfway.

After an unknown amount of time, Ivy finally managed to stand up, but found that her right arm and right leg were numb.

A thousand needle-like pains spread through the right side of her body, like a giant dragon lurking in her heart.

The sedative had little effect, and apart from the pain in my neck I felt a sudden sense of sadness and grief.

In the distance, there was singing and dancing, prosperity and splendor, but she was locked in a cold ward, powerless to do anything.

The coffee is not bitter, her life is bitter...

"Woooooooo..."

After staring out the window for a long time, Ivy suddenly burst into tears.

"woo woo woo woo……"

"Here, here... Can I put it here?"

Suddenly, the noise outside the door interrupted Ivy's crying. She wiped her tears with her sleeves, pouted her lips, and closed the gauze curtain between her and the other bed.

"Click, click, click!"

Someone outside the door tried to unlock it, but failed without a doubt.

"But the door is locked." The man's voice was dull, with a genuine London accent.

"Really? I don't think so..."

Another voice sounded, and it was strangely familiar.

Curiosity immediately filled Ivy's heart. She leaned forward, but unexpectedly the door lock was suddenly unscrewed and the door was opened.

The dazzling white light illuminated the white corner of the wall, and Ivy was so scared that she immediately sat back on the head of the bed.

"There's an empty bed here, put her here..."

There was a rustling sound, and two tall figures walked in carrying a long-haired woman.

They placed the woman on the bed on the other side, stood up and sighed.

Should I take this opportunity to run away... An idea suddenly appeared in Ivy's mind. She planned to get up from the bed, but as soon as she stood up, she was poked hard by the numbness in her right arm.

Wait a minute... the door is unlocked anyway... it hurts...

Ivy grinned to herself, not saying it out loud, of course.

"When will she wake up?"

A familiar voice said, and Ivy couldn't remember it for a moment.

"I haven't found out the reason why she's unconscious, but all of her indicators are normal. There's nothing serious. Maybe she was too tired and fell asleep directly... As for how long it will take for her to wake up, I think we need to observe for a while..."

"Okay, thank you. I'll stay here and take care of her. You've worked hard."

"No, no, sorry to ask you a question, is this lady your..."

The familiar voice was silent for a moment, and Ivy held her breath silently behind the gauze curtain. She seemed to feel an invisible gaze.

"Heh..." The man sneered, and said in a teasing tone, "She's my fiancée..."

hum-

Ivy's mind suddenly exploded. From the tone of voice, she knew who the person behind the gauze curtain was.

"I see. They are a perfect match!"

The doctor said politely, and then muttered: "It's just that the man is too thin. He looks limp like a skeleton..."

"Doctor, you still need to check other wards..."

"Oh! Yes, yes, then you should go to bed early. Don't stay up late and remember to drink more hot water!"

"Uh huh huh..."

The doctor smiled heartily and left the room, still mumbling.

Then there was the sound of a door closing politely, and then the sound of a lock being gently locked, which was obviously closed intentionally by another man.

As the "click" sound faded away, the room returned to its original tranquility.

Ivy hid in the corner, covering her mouth tightly with her hands, not daring to move rashly.

The breeze blew the beige gauze curtain, reflecting the man's tall and thin body, like a huge nightmare.

“A wonderful dinner…hehehe!”

Suddenly, an evil voice sounded in the silence and echoed in Ivy's ears.

"What's going on?" She frowned and complained silently in her heart.

"The witch's blood is terrible to drink. Oh... my life is so miserable..."

"But I'm hungry..."

"No, choose..."

The man murmured, and Ivy watched as the man slowly bent down and gently picked up the woman on the bed.

The woman's hair fell like vines, reflecting ripples like ocean waves in the swaying gauze curtains.

I guess that woman must have beautiful, thick, long curly hair, as eye-catching as Ms. Bell's fiery red hair...

Yes, Ms. Bell's wine-red hair... witches... blood...

hum-

Ivy's head exploded again...

"Oh no!"

Ivy screamed, and she turned her head to look, only to find that the man had already bared his sharp fangs and was about to stab the woman's neck.

"what……"

"no!"

Ignoring the numbness in her body, Ivy stepped onto the floor barefoot, pulled open the gauze curtain and walked towards the black figure.

"Uh!"

“Bang—”

In the dim light, the two entangled men and women were thrown to the ground by the girl with long black hair, and disappeared from sight. It was a sad and beautiful swan song...

certainly not!

Ivy struggled to prop herself up on her elbows, but her thumping heartbeat surged over her like a raging rainstorm.

What came into view was a broad black chest, and the sound of the heartbeat was vibrating from inside.

When I looked up, I saw a very familiar face, shining brightly in the dim moonlight.

"Why are you here?"

Ivy asked weakly, shaking her dizzy head and looking to the side.

The flaming wine-colored hair, quietly spread out to the side, is the unconscious Ms. Bell.

"I'm hungry……"

Joshua's voice rang in Ivy's ears, his cold lips rubbed against her earlobe, and the hot air blew into her ear canal, causing all the muscles in her body to tighten.

The sharp fangs were inadvertently exposed, constantly stinging her skin.

The soft tip of his tongue was wet, hot and sticky, and he shamelessly circled her earlobe.

"Well……"

Ivy was so stimulated that she trembled all over. An inexplicable heat rose to her head and then spread throughout her body. She felt the changes in her body and finally confirmed the true identity of the person in front of her.

"Hey! Let me go!"

She said almost crying, her hands constantly pushing away the hot chest in front of her.

"Well...don't..."

The man hanging by her neck murmured, exhaling hot air with every word, all of which blew on her skin.

"No... uh... let go!"

Ivy tried her best to refuse, but suddenly she felt a tightness around her waist. The man grabbed her waist tightly and squeezed it viciously.

"what!"

Ivy felt the pain and shuddered all over. She climbed up his shoulders with both hands and grasped the smooth fabric tightly.

"Ha ha……"

The man sneered with satisfaction, then bent his knees and deliberately pushed them between Ivy's legs. He then hugged her tightly in his arms, and there was no distance between them anymore.

"I told you... I'm hungry... I'm hungry..."

The man finished speaking intermittently and buried his whole face in Ivy's neck again, like a coquettish little animal.

With terrible fangs...

The moment the cold light appeared, Ivy's pupils tightened and her right hand instinctively rose into the air.

"Snapped!"

"let me go!"

"I don't! I want to drink blood!"

"Snapped!"

Ivy slapped him hard again, and only then did he reluctantly let go of her hot body.

She struggled to stand up, and with the help of the light from the window she was able to see the whole person below.

Joshua's clothes were disheveled, his lips pursed in dissatisfaction, and he looked at her with his back to the light, almost full of grievance and resentment.

And in those eyes, which should have been dark with highlights, there was a dangerous and mysterious red light flashing.

The person who came was Lord Leon who was hiding in Joshua's body. He was hungry...
