Operation Red Book

Chapter 521 Pride and Prejudice

The night falls and rushes into the starry sky.

More people gathered in front of the stage, and all the colorful lights were turned on, casting spots of light on people's faces like fluttering snowflakes, carrying all kinds of emotions.

The gypsy girl came on stage again and spun around to the sound of exciting and cheerful music.

She changed into a new red dress with two big red bows tied on the long puff sleeves.

The hem of the skirt has more patterns, one layer of bright red, one layer of pink and one layer of purple, and when it spins it looks like a peony bud about to bloom.

In the center of the stage, the girl's long black hair like seaweed occupies the visual center.

Her hair was like soft flower stamens, fluttering around as she danced. Each strand seemed to have infinite power, swaying back and forth to the rhythm of the music.

The black hair made the girl's smile even more pronounced, and she looked like a flower blooming in May, bright and beautiful.

Sure enough, the beautiful flowers that amaze everyone never care whether they are born in the mud at the foot of the city wall.

She will bloom in the night, sway in the dew, stand firm in the hurricane, and smile amid applause... Perhaps this is exactly the gypsy girl we love.

Unfortunately, Ivy could only take a quick glance at such a beautiful scene from a distance.

She ran all the way, rushing backstage like a bobcat being chased by a porcupine.

She opened the door with a snap, startling everyone inside.

The cheerful music rushed into the house along with her, and the volume suddenly became louder.

Ivy panted and supported herself on her knees, her back rising and falling in perfect rhythm with the music.

"Ms. Ivy?" Alexander was the first to recognize her. "Is everything settled?"

"Ms. Ivy! We're third!"

Xiaoqi and Xiaojiu ran excitedly to Ivy, followed by Luna holding a doll.

Luna's eyes were still empty, but the slight redness on her nose revealed her inner excitement at the moment.

"Mr. Joshua!" Princess Constance also came over, "Mr. Joshua and the flower fairy lady in the red dress tied for first place!"

She grinned happily and said excitedly, "Now Mr. Joshua is going to perform again on stage! He will definitely win first place, right!"

"Miss Ivy, let me tell you..."

"What’s wrong with you……"

"Mr. Joshua..."

"Ms. Ivy..."

The noisy and lingering noise in her ears made Ivy even more irritated.

Her heart seemed to be beating out of her chest. She slowly straightened up and tried to fight the dizziness.

Looking across the crowd in front of her, Ivy saw Joshua's lonely back.

He seemed to have calmed down a bit, waiting calmly in front of the stage.

The black tuxedo on him seemed to dye his entire appearance dark.

Unlike the original Joshua…

Ivy thought to herself, her eyes darkening.

"Ms. Ivy, are you hurt?"

Suddenly, a gentle touch landed on Ivy's forehead, instantly bringing her attention back to the present.

Looking back, I saw Christine with a frown on her face. She wiped the dust off Ivy's face with a wet handkerchief, sadness in her eyes.

The beautiful tenderness calmed Ivy down temporarily. She responded with a simple smile, turned around and jumped into a pile of clothes to rummage through.

“Have you ever looked for Easter eggs here?”

She spoke as she rummaged through the books, looking very busy.

Everyone looked at each other, with a puzzled look on their faces. Christine was pushed out and said:

"No...but isn't this the game session you set up? And it's already over...Why is Ms. Ivy looking for it here now?"

"It's a long story, please help me find it..."

Ivy poked her head out from behind a pile of cardboard boxes, her tone urgent.

"Ah! I remember now, that's not an Easter egg, that's dynamite!"

Princess Constance replied quickly. She quickly understood Ivy's panic and immediately walked to the various props and started searching.

At the same time, the two SCOs' faces suddenly changed when they heard the word "bomb". Luna and Alexander looked at each other and walked to different corners in silence.

So, in the small room, everyone began to carefully look for "easter eggs" in the corner.

After a while, the whole room was turned upside down by this group of people, but there was still no trace of the "easter egg".

"Oh my god, I've even looked for the bathroom, where else could it be?"

Christine covered her mouth with a handkerchief and spoke resentfully.

"Maybe we need to go a little deeper... hehehe!"

Luna looked up at Christine, her big eyes full of little evil thoughts.

"But the most prosperous place...isn't it right here?"

Ivy walked towards the stage unconsciously. She muttered softly, but she didn't expect Joshua, who was not far away, to hear it all.

He turned around at some point, staring at Ivy with red eyes, which seemed to be filled with resentment.

"The most prosperous? Isn't this the most desolate place?"

His low voice came from the stairs, everyone was startled and the air became silent.

I don't know why he is so angry. Ivy was angry and her tone was even more impolite:

"What? Are you talking to me?"

Ivy raised the corners of her mouth, lowered her eyebrows, and her voice rose two octaves, obviously in a sarcastic tone... Joshua frowned even more tightly.

He had a stubborn and arrogant expression, his eyes were slightly red, and his whole body was filled with hostility.

"Leon! Get off him!"

Ivy shouted, the red eyes, of course, represented the bad vampire…

But something seemed to be different. After Ivy shouted, her heart skipped a beat.

"Leon?" Ivy called softly, but the other party did not respond.

"Leon?"

"I'm not him!"

Joshua gritted his teeth and became more and more angry. Ivy then realized that Joshua's appearance was completely different from the temperament when Lord Leon appeared.

He had never yelled at Ivy before, this was a first.

Perhaps because he was too excited, a small tear flowed from his eyes and slid down his chin along the veins on his face.

Ivy saw all of this. She lowered her head and stopped talking.

The music flowed through the space between the two people, making the noise of the wind even louder.

"Hey, look at me."

Joshua said softly, his hoarse voice floating over from above.

"I don't want to talk to you," Ivy whispered back, her head hanging even lower.

"But I want to talk to you."

"I do not want……"

"I think!"

Joshua yelled, as if he had gone mad.

He pried Ivy's jaw up and forced her to look at him.

"I want to! But have you ever given me a chance?"

"When? When did you not ignore me? When did you not pretend not to see me? When did you take me seriously? When did you not take me seriously? When!"

"What are you talking about?"

Ivy kept backing away. She felt a burning sensation in her heart and was a little scared.

"You know what I'm talking about!" Joshua yelled angrily again.

He quickly pressed towards Ivy and slammed his palm hard on the wall behind Ivy, trapping her in his own space.

Ivy couldn't dodge it, so she tilted her head as much as she could and crossed her arms over her and Joshua's chests.

"What did you say about me? I want to hear what you said about me!" She retorted, with grievance in her voice, "You said I was a slut? That's what you said to me! I heard it clearly!"

"Yes! You are a slut!" Joshua said hatefully.

"Melissa is right! She calls you a slut every time she and her boyfriend have a date in the locker room!"

"It turns out that you are indeed the one. You have many boyfriends in school, and you have countless lovers here too!"

"I don't!"

"You have!"

"I don't!"

"Melissa is right! You are!"

"But you're not Melissa! You're Joshua! Why are you saying that!"

Ivy completely collapsed. She stared at Joshua with both eyes, screaming hysterically, her whole body wrapped in uncontrollable sadness.

"Melissa is a bitch who always goes against me, but you are not! Joshua!"

"Slut! Slut! I don't like this word, no one likes this word, this word is really ugly!"

"You're going too far, Joshua. I'm really upset. Why do you want to hurt me like this..."

"I thought you would never hurt me, I thought we were best friends, I thought you would always support me, love me, and protect me..."

"Isn't that what you taught Dorian and Leon? To love me, to like me, you must make me happy, make me happy, make me relax at all times, and make me smile..."

"Then why are you doing this...doing this to me..."

"Joshua...why did you hurt me..."
