Operation Red Book
Chapter 399 Nice to meet you, too
After an unknown amount of time, Ivy woke up in the stench of blood and sea salt.
She struggled to get up, and when she looked up she saw the gloomy sky and the dead branches swaying all around.
The shout of charge came from above, scaring Ivy so much that she fell back to the ground again.
It seemed that all the cells in her brain had not yet awakened. She had a severe headache and the sound of tinnitus kept revolving in her mind, shattering and dispersing the memories before she fainted...
"Mr. Zhu and Zhao Minghua... confronted each other... Muyunzhai... when they were young..."
Ivy rubbed her temples. Her eye sockets were so sore that she had to rub her palms to warm them up before applying them to her hard eyeballs.
"Zhao Minghua...kill...kill whom?"
"Mr. Zhu...Pearl...Mermaid...Tears..."
The scenes before fainting were scattered and could not be connected into a whole.
She gave up her memories, carefully pushed aside the branches behind her, and looked out of the bushes.
In the open space, the scattered corpses were still twitching violently.
Mr. Zhu and Zhao Minghua were missing, and there was a large pool of blood under the plaque of Shisanfang, which was trampled to pieces by the thieves who rushed out.
Thieves kept running out of the gate of Shisanfang. They had bloodshot eyes, scales all over their bodies, webbed hands and feet, and sharp teeth in their mouths...
The first thing Ivy thought of was the fish monster.
They seemed to have received some call and drove their stiff limbs to run madly towards the Chinese market.
Alexander and the government troops were also gone. There were occasional pools of dark red blood on the open ground, with black debris and cold white bones floating around.
Ivy was frightened when she saw this. A cold air blew from behind her and she shivered unexpectedly.
"What is it like now?"
She tried hard to suppress her breathing, fearing that the fish monster would turn around and discover her.
"So what's going on now..."
"Crash..."
Suddenly, a rustling sound came from behind, and Ivy shrank back again in fright.
She opened her eyes wide and carefully identified the source of the sound.
The grass in the distance moved, and the rustling sound began to sound again.
Fortunately, the movement was neither far nor near from her, just within the range she could capture.
The shattering sound came from far away and continued all the way to a side door of Shisanfang.
Ivy narrowed her eyes and looked at the magnificent wall.
I saw a man in gray looking around furtively, then he quickly opened the door and went in.
Ivy had seen this man before, and in fact, there was no way she could forget him.
Gradually, Ivy's breathing calmed down. She looked at the building of Shisanfang, squeezed her bulging pockets, and slowly crawled towards the side door.
The person just now was Fang Yi.
The waiter at Muyunzhai brought her and Joshua to Jasper.
At the beginning of Jasper's plan, his wife and children were captured and Fang Yi was forced to become a servant of the devil.
Mingcan mentioned him just now in Muyunzhai.
In order to prevent Aunt Chen's two children, Xiaoqi and Xiaojiu, from being held hostage, he was beaten half to death by the fish-man and was finally dragged out by force.
Mingcan was very worried. He was afraid that he would be thrown into the sea to feed the fish, or that he would be disemboweled and thrown over the wall to serve as a warning to others.
But Ivy was never worried from beginning to end. He was a servant of the devil, and Jasper was seriously injured in the last battle.
Another war is approaching, and Fang Yi, the servant, still has a lot of value to use.
If I were a devil, I couldn't just throw away this human spy that I had recruited with great difficulty.
At least... at least I have to squeeze out the last bit of value, and then eat his soul...
The man in gray was walking back and forth on the stairwell. Ivy followed closely behind him, watching his movements intently.
The noise inside the building was much quieter than outside. Like Ivy, the children inside were lying unconscious on the stage, without any sound.
A circle of thieves holding harpoons surrounded the stage, while in the open space in front, a large group of fish monsters were "splitting" themselves.
A fish demon pulled its own scalp with both hands and split itself in two.
That half quickly grew a new half and became a brand new self.
Then I pulled my scalp with both hands, pulling it left and right, tearing it... I became two new selves.
Thus, the split halves gathered into one team, rushed out of the gate and joined the battle.
The other half stayed where they were, pulling at their own scalp with their hands, tearing it…over and over again.
Ivy felt sick as she watched. She tried her best to hold back the sour feeling that was rising up in her stomach and looked towards the man in gray upstairs.
This time, the man in gray didn't move.
Ivy's heart tightened, and an ominous premonition rose from the bottom of her heart. She ran quickly to the private room at the side in a restless manner.
Running through the private rooms with their doors half-open, Ivy intuitively chose a safe room, rushed in and closed the door.
In the dim light, Ivy hid behind a chair in the stands and listened carefully to the noises outside the room.
Sure enough, not long after escaping in, the sound of "hissing" footsteps was heard outside the room.
The door was pushed open forcefully, and a strong fishy smell suddenly rushed into the house.
Ivy pinched her nose with one hand and her thigh with the other, trying to wake herself up.
Fortunately, the fish monster did not investigate carefully. It just hissed twice outside the door and then retreated loudly.
Ivy finally let go of her nose only when she could no longer hear the patrolling footsteps of the fish demon.
She was almost fainting from suffocating, and only managed to stand up after taking several deep breaths of the polluted air.
Unexpectedly, when she finally stood up, a demon with his legs crossed and a faint smile on his face on the opposite platform interrupted her breath unexpectedly.
Black leather jacket, shiny leather shoes, playful little cape, golden brown instant noodle rolls...it seemed as if a string in my mind had broken gently.
Ivy looked at it out of the corner of her eye for a long time and was stunned for a long time.
When she finally reacted, Ivy's back was already soaked with cold sweat.
Without any hesitation, she turned around quickly and opened the half-closed door of the box.
"Nice to meet you..."
A familiar voice sounded in his ears. Jasper stared at Ivy with interest with his glowing red eyes, and smiled, revealing his bloodshot fangs.
"what--"
He grabbed Ivy's neck and she struggled backwards with her legs touching the carpet.
“Too!”
Jasper smirked and forced Ivy back to the railing of the stands.
"Snapped--"
Outside the door, Fang Yi slammed the door of the box shut, turned around and walked into the darkness.
