Operation Red Book

Chapter 340 Holding Hands

Fang Yi made a "hush" gesture to the back and then leaned his head upwards.

After lurking for a few seconds, he grabbed the bushes with both hands and pulled them apart on the left and right.

A bright light broke the darkness in the trees, blinding Ivy.

"Just across the way."

Fang Yi pointed to the stone road ahead. At the end of the stone road was a gray red high wall.

The high wall disappeared into the darkness, like a silent stone wall.

The hook-shaped eaves are looming, like a pair of blue-black bone claws.

Squinting and looking carefully, I saw that the upper part of the high red wall was covered with many tiny spiraling black lines, and the overall color of the wall was much darker than the surrounding vermilion.

"Come on! We're here!"

Ivy shouted quickly to Joshua behind her. He was obviously exhausted and his breathing from fatigue was much louder than the murmurs in response.

Fang Yi started first. He carefully stuck his head out and looked left and right at the street for a long time.

After finding the right opportunity, he kicked his legs hard and pounced on the opposite steps like a lean black panther.

One, two...the washed-white cloth shoes fell on the stone road without any sound.

He ran very fast, and within five seconds, Fang Yi was already gesturing to Ivy at the opposite corner.

The small stones on the ground rolled slowly in silence, and the sound of the wheels fell into Ivy's heart, leaving only unspeakable loneliness and uneasiness.

“Joshua…Joshua!”

Ivy reached back and took Joshua's hand skillfully yet awkwardly.

The distance from the bushes to the red wall was not far, but there was no obstruction at all in the sky.

Joshua looked at the cobblestone road in front of him and his heart began to beat violently.

The mist was shrouded, and the green stone road twisted and turned like a giant python.

But what dazzled him was not the curve in front of him, but the soft and delicate hand in front of him...

That hand, haunting, like jujube paste, with the fragrance of gardenia, soft and elastic...

It was right in front of me, actually in the palm of my hand.

Joshua had fantasized countless times while at Sigma School in the 21st century.

I imagined Ivy holding his hand and walking step by step to the podium. I imagined Ivy holding his hand and carefully spinning on the dance floor...

As for him, he would blush, feel the warmth of that hand, and gently touch the blue diamond on his middle finger...

The most imagined scene was that he would be in the middle of the stadium, while everyone was paying attention, secretly showing off his friendship with Ivy to those annoying boys...

This is the most popular girl in the school... Ivy, the girl that Tommy and Nick always like but can never get... Ivy, the girl who is far away... Ivy, the girl who is always bright and dazzling...

But, is this feeling that it is within reach right?

Joshua felt his whole body floating up. He lowered his head leisurely, and Ivy's face quickly blurred in his sight.

"If I were you, I would hold your hand back..."

"Go away!"

The next second, consciousness was instantly awakened, but it was still a step too late.

Joshua watched as his right hand took Ivy's left hand, their fingers intertwined, much more ambiguous than Cupid's golden curls.

"Let go of her hand!"

"The relationship between her and I is none of your business, little puppet..."

"I'm in charge! You are not allowed to take advantage of classmate Ivy!"

"What do you know? I'm trying to stop you from going in that direction. You stupid mortals, can't you even feel the intense hellfire?"

"Let her go, or I'll have nails made of sterling silver stuck all over my body. I mean what I say."

Joshua said coldly. He couldn't see his own expression, but he guessed it must be very terrifying.

Lord Leon did not reply. After a few seconds, Joshua gradually felt his body regaining strength.

Meanwhile, no one on the street noticed what was happening beyond the bushes.

Ivy seized the opportunity, squeezed Joshua's hand tightly, and then rolled out of the woods.

Two shadows streak across the darkness, like two raging hurricanes.

They rolled to the side of the street and ran quickly along the cobblestone road toward the red wall.

"call--"

Finally running to the corner of the target wall, Ivy let out a long breath.

She bent down with relief and smiled faintly at Joshua, who was panting.

We'll be able to get out soon... Ivy closed her eyes, her mind filled with excitement from surviving the disaster.

"Good evening! May I ask if we have met somewhere before?"

A sound I've never heard before...

Ivy suddenly opened her eyes and looked towards the source of the sound.

In the shadow ahead, Fang Yi lowered his head, without any expression or action.
