Operation Red Book

Chapter 300 The End of Darkness 2

The sound of long whips crackling filled the entire corridor, and stiff bodies were thrown into the darkness, forming a black and white wax mountain at the end of the corridor.

Silvery white electric currents crawled up the rusty helmet, like ring-shaped maggots crawling in and out.

Wisps of white smoke emerged from the "hill", evaporated into the air and then disappeared, leaving only a pungent smell of burnt smoke.

A drop of sweat slid down Ivy's cheek and happened to fall on the long whip that was twisting like a silver snake.

The silvery-white tongue stretched out, filled with electric current. In just one second, the pea-sized water droplets turned into translucent mist in an instant.

The dark red carpet is dry, clean and smooth without leaving any trace.

Ivy pressed the current switch and coiled the shiny black whip in her palm.

She let out a long sigh and wiped the sweat from her head with her sleeve.

"See? The times are developing and society is progressing."

She glanced at the "hill" where electricity was flowing in and out, and her tone was full of New Age pretentiousness.

"Electricity, new energy... Never mind. You won't understand even if I tell you."

Ivy straightened her messy hair and raised her hand to push open the heavy iron door.

With a muffled "creak", the iron door opened wide, revealing the entire appearance of the end of the darkness.

This place seems more empty than the vast castle roof, lonelier than the deep blue night, and older than the broken tiles and stones.

The walls are made of yellow-brown earth and stone, but the blurry murals look lifelike.

The floor was a dark mass of black brick, with countless candles scattered across every brick and stone.

Four moon-white columns support the entire space. Three or five "Greek gods" of various shapes are carved on the columns. Their painful expressions are vivid, as if they are about to appear in the next second.

The ceiling was an inverted cone, covered with a thick layer of gold. The candlelight on the ground reflected on the layers of metal, illuminating the entire orange-yellow hall.

Facing you are seven layers of weathered stone steps, with thorny vines climbing all over the stone bricks and circling around the candles on both sides.

Above the stairs is a Gothic throne. The throne is all black, tall and narrow, with four gilded lions on the base and the backrest decorated with symmetrical patterns.

The throne was backed by three large transparent glass panes, which covered the entire wall from top to bottom.

The bright full moon rested in the huge window, illuminating the blue roses wrapped around the throne.

The rose rolled up its petals, greedily absorbing the cold moonlight.

They grew wildly on the throne, extending from the spire of the cross to the steps at the bottom.

Ivy really didn't know where to start looking for such a ghostly and mysterious place.

The floor was so cold that Ivy shuddered the moment she stepped on it.

It was so quiet all around that Ivy didn't dare to breathe deeply, for fear that the plants that heard the sound would instantly turn into wild beasts and pounce on people.

She clenched the whip in her hand and walked towards the stone steps step by step.

For some reason, Ivy had no time to pay attention to medieval art. It was clear that every brick and tile here was breathtakingly beautiful.

But she walked in a straight line, and the only scenery she saw was the throne high above. …

The originally disorganized candlelight was arranged into a long, neat line, and the blue roses looking at the bright moon all turned their heads towards her.

Avoiding the thorny vines, Ivy successfully reached the armrest of the throne.

The bright moonlight illuminated half of Ivy's face, and the silhouettes of the throne and the girl looked particularly eye-catching under the full moon.

What does it feel like to sit on it?

Ivy stroked the smooth oak of the throne, and the dewdrops from the rose center were crystal clear, trying their best to please her.

Sit on the throne, ascend the throne, hold power, be above everyone else...

The ambition that could not be hidden was immediately exposed, nakedly appearing in Ivy's clear black eyes.

The corners of his mouth curled up unconsciously, and his heart was burning like lightning.

"Are you as captivated by its charm as I am?"

A gentle voice came from below, and Lord Leon arrived at the stone steps without knowing when.

He threw the bloody unicorn heavily to the ground, and then tied up Joshua, who was bruised and swollen, in front of him.

Ivy tilted her head. So this is what it felt like to listen from above. A gleam of light flashed in her eyes.

This was not the expression Lord Leon wanted to see. Ambition that did not belong to a young girl was burning on her face, exactly like the blue rose blooming beside her.

He kicked Joshua to the ground, forcing him to groan in pain.

"How can I get you to hand them over?"

Ivy's voice was unusually calm, and besides that, she looked confident of victory.

Lord Leon narrowed his eyes and felt a little agitated inside. This was a feeling he had never experienced in a thousand years.

"I've said it many times, stay, marry me, give me your love..."

"It can't be done."

Ivy put away her smile and slowly walked to the back of the throne and came to the other side of the armrest.

Lord Leon's Adam's apple moved up and down, glowing black lines moved across his face, and the red light in his eyes revealed anger in the shadows.

He kicked the wingless unicorn, stretched out his right hand, and tightly grasped Joshua's neck.

"Should I remind you that you have no right to reject me?"

"Hehehe..."

Ivy smiled, and the sound echoed.

"Now I understand a little bit how you felt..."

"What do you mean?" Lord Leon rolled his eyes.

"The feeling that makes you endure humiliation and kill everyone at all costs."

"I just want revenge..."

"Using the lives of innocent people for revenge is your natural choice."

Ivy clicked her tongue and looked at Lord Leon with a mocking look.

"You use the sympathy and lives of innocent people to exchange for your own cold-heartedness and selfishness. What's so noble about you?"

"They must hate you to death, right? You killed the old lord with your own hands and watched the enemy burn the villagers to death..."

"When you refuse to repent, deceive yourself, and break all your crosses..."

"God may be selfish, but he still gave you a chance to start over."

Ivy raised one corner of her mouth and said provocatively.

"But you still don't make progress, and you keep going further and further down the path you think you should go, causing great suffering to the people, killing innocent people, and refusing to repent!"

"Like I said before, you don't understand love, and you don't deserve it..."

"you you……"

Lord Leon's lips trembled, and red light flickered in his eyes.

Ivy smiled demurely, turned around and sat on the soft cushion.

She ignored Lord Leon's shocked look and rubbed the center of the blue rose.

"No matter how you argue, in the end, you still sit in this position, right..."

"You are alone, lonely, deserted, and unrecognized, Lord..."

"The view is really good, but it's a bit narrow..."

"What do you want to do?"

Lord Leon questioned, suppressing his anger.

Ivy leaned her head on her bent elbow, looking down with a hint of pride in her eyes.

"Not only do I want to leave, I also want to take them away safely..."

"What a joke! Who do you think you are? I can easily break your neck right now!"

"I can destroy your entire world." Ivy said lightly.

She released the whip, pressed the button, and swung it hard at the nearest column.

With a loud "boom", a silver-white light like lightning appeared in the air.

The column broke into three large pieces, and most of the candles on the ground were extinguished.

Lord Leon's face turned increasingly purple, and he kept tightening Joshua's neck, only stopping when he heard a sudden cough.

The two looked at each other for a long time, and Lord Leon smiled lightly, as if he had grasped something, and his tone suddenly became light.

"But you can't get out at all. The passage back to the real world is not so easy to find."

"Who said that?" Ivy smiled in embarrassment, "I'm so embarrassed to be smarter than you!"

She quickly stood up and turned the throne 180 degrees.

On the back are entwined blue roses, in large clusters, covering the entire surface.

Ivy raised the silver-black whip and started whipping Blue Rose hard.

She whipped the flowers one after another, as if she had no idea how to stop, until the petals fell and the dewdrops splashed everywhere.

"Look..."

Ivy paused for breath and pointed to the large oval mirror hidden under the roses.

"The space created by the underworld, the world that holds your consciousness, the mirror on the back of the throne..."

"It is the channel connecting to the real world..."
