Chapter 291 About Leon

The following is a personal account from Professor Daniel F. White, Ms. Bell Cruz, and the witch Beatrice de Popa.

More than a thousand years ago, of course, counting back to the 19th century, Leon's story took place in medieval Europe.

The location of the story is not very certain. After all, it was a thousand years ago, and you can't expect three wizards to remember clearly whether they had German sausages or tortillas for lunch last week.

It could be the present-day southern France, or it could be the southern Italy, in any case, it is a place by the sea.

There is a beautiful little village there, a human territory, of course. The villagers are kind and enthusiastic, and their main industry is planting.

The lord of that land was a kind and lonely old man. He governed his people well, was generous and peace-loving, and the entire castle and fiefdom were filled with long-lasting peace and tranquility.

It was an ordinary night, the moon was bright and the stars were sparse, and a nightingale was singing on the branches.

It was such a sleepless night when a group of villagers suddenly knocked on the lord's door.

Someone found a young boy with a high fever at the entrance of the village. The boy was very thin, with very little flesh on his cheeks.

His clothes were tattered, with few good pieces of fabric, and he looked dirty and dusty. He must be a slave who had escaped from another territory.

The villagers were very anxious. No one dared to move the young man lying on the ground. His body was covered with bloody knife wounds, his breathing was weak, and the whites of his eyes had rolled back.

Without saying a word, the lord led a group of villagers to rescue the miserable boy and named him after himself - this was Leon.

Leon grew up day by day and became more stable and mature. He learned literary philosophy under the guidance of the lord and traveled around under the care of the villagers.

No one knew his background, which territory he was from, what his family was, who was hunting him, and how he ended up in this remote village...

Leon was reluctant to talk and he remained silent most of the time.

The villagers didn't ask any questions. They helped Leon become a believer of God and gave him all their care and love.

He has no relatives, the whole village is his family.

But that was the Dark Ages, when there was no absolute peace and no endless escape.

Invasion and annexation are the inevitable paths for the rise of an empire, and this horrible truth has finally arrived with a bang along with a group of cavalrymen.

On the occasion of the lord's 60th birthday, a notorious noble led his knights to invade this peaceful little village.

He was a lord in his prime, and his territory was rich and prosperous, thanks to half a century of burning, killing and looting.

The lord was old and had been paralyzed in bed for many years. He was unable to lead his troops into battle, nor could he come forward to seek peace.

When the situation was critical, Leon persuaded the young people in the village to purchase a batch of soldiers and armor.

Under the lord's oath, they were given public expectations, and with the expectation and belief of protecting the village, they became knights loyal to the lord.

The knights rushed towards the invading troops, but the strength of the two sides was too disparate. Most of the knights in the village were killed in the battle, and the unarmed villagers were helpless.

The castle was easily captured and the village was razed to the ground by the iron horses.

With fire raging everywhere, the invaders gathered all the villagers in front of a large open space.

The villagers were forced to bow their heads with long swords, and the old lord was also brought before everyone.

A long sword pierced the lord's heart without hesitation. At that moment, the villagers suddenly realized that the knight who pierced the lord's heart was a familiar face...

Leon, the young man who had been with them for several years, did not die on the battlefield. Instead, he stood beside the enemy and killed the lord who raised him with his own hands.

The lord shed tears as he died, his wrinkled lips opened and closed, but he could not utter a word.

The enemy knights surrounded the villagers and cheered, lifting Leon high above their heads.

Clusters of flames leaped up onto the clumps of straw beside the villagers, and after the belated shock, the villagers suddenly realized what was going on.

Leon had known the enemy lord for a long time, and he was an undercover agent carefully sent by the enemy.

The betrayed villagers were very angry. In the blazing flames, they swore by God and cursed Leon from the bottom of their hearts, accusing him of being treacherous and ungrateful.

The invading noble was victorious, he captured the village and awarded Leon the highest award, the Order of Knighthood, in the castle of the former lord.

He admired Leon's decisiveness in killing and his strong endurance, and immediately decided to marry his daughter to Leon.

But on the day of the engagement ceremony, when the last family member of the nobleman hurriedly arrived.

Leon, wearing armor and holding a bronze sword tempered by blood, slaughtered the entire castle.

So what was Leon's origin story? Was he a runaway slave or a distinguished Roman noble?

Leon is a commoner from the next village. He is an ordinary man. His family makes a living by animal husbandry. Generations have been law-abiding. The three of them live in a wooden house.

When he was 12 years old, the nobles invaded the land, his family was killed, and his house was burned down...

In less than one night, his family was destroyed and he was surrounded by corpses.

As the drizzle fell, only a young boy who had luckily survived was left next to a pile of charred corpses.

He was the only one who escaped from the ruins. He stumbled towards the light and came to the quiet little village.

Finally, Leon killed all the enemies in the castle. In the dead silence, he, wearing knight armor and knight's medal, sat on the highest seat in the castle and became the new lord of this land.

Alone, facing a river of blood.

Of course, there is still an end to the story.

He killed everyone and was cursed by everyone.

The curses of the innocent all added together, shackled his hands and feet firmly to the throne with the shackles of sin.

More importantly, as a believer in God, he never had his heart towards God.

Those who are filled with the flames of revenge are too heavy-hearted and are a great threat to Heavenly Father.

Therefore, God punished him and the throne became the executioner.

The moment he sat on the throne, his blood was sucked dry by the throne beneath him, and he became an evil creature - a vampire.

Leon could not accept the fact that he had become a vampire. He fought back hard and cut the crosses and statues of Jesus in the castle in half, but he suffered even greater punishment.

The battle angel Michael descended into the horrible castle at the instruction of God and sealed him in a large oval mirror as tall as a person with magic.

That mirror was made by Uriel, the judge of the underworld, and it is a huge space of consciousness.

That kind of consciousness space is not as trifling as the one created by Beatrice, where one can easily escape by simply breaking the defense.

"What's more, God cursed the mirror in order to purify him. Only when the vampire lord learns tolerance and love can Leon return to the world."

"So cliché? Aesop's fables or Grimm's fairy tales? It still needs 'love' and 'tolerance' to come out. Even the Times thinks it's outdated..."

Holmes crushed the unextinguished cigarette butt with his leather shoe, one corner of his mouth curled up with a look of disdain.

"This is a bedtime story widely circulated in the wizarding world. Its purpose is to let wizards know the inhumanity of vampires. It is very educational!"

Bell retorted, rolling her eyes at Holmes and soothing the trembling Joshua with her left hand.

"Joshua, tell me again, you are face to face with Lord Leon, right?"

Joshua curled up on the white hospital bed, his lips were pale and his pupils could not focus at all, as if he had not yet recovered from the fear he had just experienced.

He didn't remember the whole process, he only knew that it was very painful. The premonition of death lingered in his mind for a long time.

He came back to reality while struggling and yelling, and Beatrice was surprised when she saw it. She raised her wand and the connection was still intact.

"He's getting married to Ivy tomorrow..." Joshua said with sobs.

"Vampires are really not good people!" Professor White raised his hands in indignation, "They actually raped a woman. How dare they do that!"

"Let me in... Ivy needs me, let me in!" Joshua became a little out of control.

"Take a rest first. You just..."

"Let me in! I want to go in!"

"Joshua." A gentle and clear voice came from the door.

"Come out for a moment."

Moriarty raised the red book in his hand.
