Operation Red Book

Joshua clenched the lightsaber in his hand, and the blue-purple electric light illuminated his sparkling eyes.

There was a flash of anger and disdain in it, and so were the bats flying in the air.

"you wanna die--"

Bai Xue's face turned extremely purple and she almost yelled.

"You admitted—"

Joshua was not to be outdone. He raised his electric lightsaber and stabbed the flying bat hard.

"Hey!"

Moriarty had no time to stop Joshua's recklessness and could only settle Alexander nearby.

"Hurry up and tell him to be careful. There is toxin on the bat. If he touches it, his whole body will be paralyzed..." Alexander reminded weakly.

"What did you say?"

Moriarty frowned and stared at Joshua as he walked away, as if he had thought of something.

His breathing suddenly became heavier, and after taking a look around his surroundings, Moriarty let go of Alexander and quickly ran towards Jacob and the sword.

"Ahhh——" Joshua screamed.

After witnessing the power of the lightsaber with his own eyes, there was no way that Bat would underestimate the beam of light that emitted a strange blue light.

It retracted its sharp claws, flew its huge body to the side, and flapped its huge wings to swoop towards Joshua.

Seeing that the lightsaber had swung in vain, Joshua quickly lowered his body.

A whirlwind blew in from the right, and a dark cloud-like shadow filled Joshua's sight.

He bent his legs, knelt down and rolled on the soft grass.

The gray-black wings swept past him a foot away, and the spikes on the wings slid straight across the grass beside him, leaving a deep scratch.

"squeak--"

The bat's shrill cry almost pierced Joshua's eardrums. It flapped its wings in mid-air, turned around, and swooped down on Joshua on the ground again.

Snow White's terrifying mouth opened 180 degrees like a python, and its two cold fangs emitted a terrifying cold light under the illumination of the electric light.

Joshua's heart was pounding like a waist drum and his mind was blank, but he knew he couldn't just sit there and wait to die.

Arriving before Snow White's fangs were a pair of claws, as sharp as blades and as long as spears.

The sharpest tip of the claw was pointed at Joshua's heart.

The silver blade flashed a cold light, reflecting two vertical silver pillars in Joshua's pupils.

Without hesitation, Joshua raised his hands, gritted his teeth and blocked it with all his strength.

"Bang--"

The lightsaber and the bat's claws collided sharply, and at this time the claws were only a few centimeters away from Joshua's chest.

Joshua clenched his back teeth, the sound of the wind in his ears blocked out the noise from the outside world, and the veins in his temples throbbed.

He didn't dare to relax for a moment, not even the slightest bit of breath leaking out from his mouth.

Although he blocked the fatal blow to the chest, the bat's attack was far more than just this one move.

The other sharp blades on the claws did not rest easy. With the sound of clothes being torn, Joshua was nailed to the bat's claws.

Snow White raised her head and shouted, then flapped her wings and flew into the gloomy woods holding Joshua.

The dark shadow hung low in the sky, with tiny specks of light shining on it, as if crowning its victory.

Joshua still used his lightsaber to block the claws' attack. For some reason, the blue-purple electric light from the lightsaber could only wrap around half of its length and had no effect on the bat itself.

The bats screamed loudly, and wherever they went, no grass grew. Grass debris like grass blown by a hurricane flew to both sides of the bats.

Behind the huge black shadow, which had originally been lush with green grass, there was now a large dark patch of land.

The howling wind was around me, like blurry shadows, getting darker and faster...

Suddenly, Joshua felt a chill on his back and a great fear rushed to his head.

He glanced back and saw a banyan tree that could only be hugged by five people holding hands standing like a giant in the woods - right behind him.

That's where the bat would take him, up the broad trunk of the banyan tree, and tear him to pieces with his six claws.

Perhaps because of human instinct, his arms suddenly surged with strength from nowhere, and he almost broke his back teeth.

Joshua hardened his heart and used all his strength to forcibly push upwards the sharp claws that were rushing towards his chest.

He knew that if he didn't hold on tight, the moment his back hit the banyan tree trunk, the bat's sharp claws would pierce his entire chest.

"squeak--"

A huge black whirlwind blew through the woods, blowing the trees in its path to this and that.

"boom--"

Immediately afterwards there was a loud bang, and the banyan tree in the center of the woods shook violently. Several thick branches and leaves fell down, making a "swish" sound.

"Hu, hu, hu..."

Joshua was breathing heavily. He kept his eyes open and tried to make out the approaching shadows in the rising smoke.

Two silver blades pierced Joshua's head on both sides, and together with the other three that pierced through his clothes, they formed a blade cage from which he could not escape.

The sharp blade standing on the chest disappeared, replaced by a layer of transparent water film.

"Do you think you're smart?"

A girl's head with fangs slowly emerged from the smoke and stuck out her scarlet tongue at Joshua.

"Think you can escape from my grasp?"

Joshua leaned back as hard as he could. The sweat dripping from his forehead soaked his eyelashes and made his eyes hurt.

Bai Xue stared at him fiercely, showing her two sharp fangs.

"Show me your neck... that flawless neck..."

Bai Xue's sinister words echoed in his ears, and Joshua shrank his neck tightly until Bai Xue's smelly tongue pried his chin back.

"Look...blood vessels...blood vessels filled with delicious blood...ah..."

Joshua was trembling and shaking, he tightly grasped the lightsaber in his hand, but his arms were in so much pain that he had no strength left to even lift it.

Bai Xue's large face was getting closer and closer like the moon in the sky, and infinite pressure and fear were growing wildly along with the fangs outside her bright red lips.

Joshua is not a Christian, but he still remembers the prayers he learned in Sunday school as a child.

Memory is full of surprises and fun. Joshua thought he had forgotten everything, but at this moment, he recited it all silently word by word.

Could it be that God had come to this world? Joshua pulled hard at his tear-stained eyes, and with trembling lips he slowly turned his head.

"Uh uh uh……"

In front of me was still Bai Xue's beautiful yet strange face, her scarlet tongue hanging in the air, her protruding fangs still cold...

But Joshua always felt that something was wrong, perhaps because of the slightly trembling sharp blade beside his head, or perhaps because of Bai Xue's eyes that had already rolled up to the sky.

"Joshua! Can you come down on your own?"

Moriarty's voice suddenly came, and Joshua searched for a long time before he found him under the bat.

"I...I'm still having some difficulties..."

Joshua looked around and muttered quietly.

"Thomas! Use a little more strength and pull it off!"

Moriarty continued to shout, but Joshua did not see Thomas...

I see! Joshua's eyes widened. The rapidly shrinking circles of water film on the bat's body were exactly the liquid that Thomas had created.

The bat's huge body swayed and slowly fell backwards.

The claws that had pierced the banyan tree slowly loosened, and Joshua suddenly lost his support and fell down involuntarily.

Joshua touched his butt in pain, wrinkled his nose, and tears flowed unconsciously.

"Alexander, take me up!"

Moriarty's voice came again, and Joshua saw him leap over the bat.

He held a long "cross" sword in both hands, and his light blond hair flew in the air.

"Amen—"

When it reached its highest point, Moriarty spoke softly but solemnly, his voice clearly reaching Joshua's ear canal.

Then, he said resolutely and decisively, with his eyes sparkling and his mouth pursed into a line...

He stabbed the bat hard in the heart.
