Operation Red Book

Chapter 262 Finally saw the river

"Ho!"

Moriarty climbed up the tree trunk with one step and flew in the direction where Snow White and Thomas fell.

"Uh!"

Like a golden cheetah, Moriarty's agile figure appears under the stars.

The three of them met cleverly in mid-air, Moriarty hooked Thomas's collar with one hand and hugged Snow White's waist with the other.

"Have you forgotten that you can Apparate?"

Moriarty shouted, and he threw Thomas out with his left hand.

When he was less than two meters from the ground, Moriarty turned around quickly with all his strength.

He hugged Bai Xue's back with both hands and rolled down the grass with her for several rounds in a downward posture.

A pool of silver liquid rapidly rose and deformed at Alexander's feet, gradually turning into the appearance of a freckled boy.

Thomas brushed the dust off his freckles and looked around panickingly.

After locating Moriarty and Shirayuki lying in the dust, he hurried in their direction.

"Snow White! Mr. Moriarty! Are you all right..."

"Roar--"

Before he could finish his words, an angry roar disrupted Thomas's progress.

The black bear with red eyes pulled out the long sword from his chest at some point. Dark red blood solidified on his fur and merged with the dripping saliva.

There was another burst of anxious footsteps, and the black bear was rushing towards Thomas' back with all his strength.

"Get away quickly!"

Moriarty said hurriedly, he struggled to straighten his body and looked into the black bear's horrified eyes through his blurry vision.

When the black bear was about to knock over Thomas's small body, Thomas melted and turned into tiny particles of dust, which were blown towards the black bear by the wind.

“Hooaaaaaaaa——”

The black bear roared one after another, some of which were anger, some were surprise, but most of them were pain.

Dust blew into the black bear's eyes, turning its terrifying red eyes upside down.

But this still couldn't stop the black bear from moving forward, as if its first target was Moriarty and Snow White in front of Thomas.

"Damn it!"

Moriarty cursed and pushed hard at Bai Xue who was on his knees, but the latter had already fainted and Moriarty could not move her by his own strength.

The angry black bear attacked like a whirlwind, and Moriarty used all his strength to resist the pressure of its huge body.

A bear head shining with black light blocked the surge of the galaxy. A heavy sense of oppression like a mountain range came over him. Moriarty didn't even dare to look at the murderous red eyes.

The bear's paw, which could almost shake a mountain, had been raised high, casting its shape on Moriarty's face through the faint starlight.

A drop of hot sweat flowed down Moriarty's forehead. He moved his ankles and gritted his teeth to shield his forearms in front of his eyes.

At least don't smash his face. This is Moriarty's last dignity before his death.

“Hoo—Ugh—”

The black bear that was so close let out a roar that shook the eardrums...but the ending tone was a little different, with irregular tremors and despair before death.

"What's going on?" Moriarty wondered in his heart.

Another drop of hot sweat fell from above onto the back of Moriarty's hand, sticky and greasy, all the way down, and finally dripped onto his cheek.

Moriarty suddenly opened his eyes when he smelled the familiar smell of blood.

Before my eyes was the ferocious expression of the black bear. It opened its bloody mouth full of fangs, enough to swallow two Moriarty heads.

The black bear rolled its eyes and stood still. A column of blue-purple electric light appeared on its chest, and the electric currents intertwined up and down, making a "sizzling" sound.

Outside the figure, a flaxen, furry head poked out, and under the thick black-framed glasses, the flaxen eyes flashed with the highlight of surprise and victory.

"Congratulations, you pierced its heart, Joshua..." Moriarty smiled faintly, "But I never taught you this trick."

"Just now, I learned it from that monkey... It's actually very simple. Just make up your mind and stab it."

Joshua raised the corner of his mouth slightly. He pressed the button at the tail end, and the blue-purple beam automatically retracted.

Without the support of the lightsaber, Black Bear's body fell down and was caught by the panting Alexander.

"snow White!"

Thomas rushed out from behind Alexander and together with Joshua moved Snow White off Moriarty's legs.

"She's fine. The impact of the fall was too great. She'll be fine after a good night's sleep."

Moriarty said weakly that he was injured no less than Bai Xue.

"How about we take a break first?" Joshua supported Moriarty and slowly leaned against the tree roots. "You and Mr. Alexander were both seriously injured..."

"It's okay, I can still stand up..."

"Just rest assured. Thomas has gone to explore the road ahead. We have been walking for so long, the stream should be not far away."

"Joshua..."

"You and Mr. Alexander should take a rest first. With the water source, we can at least quench our thirst and clean your wounds..."

"Joshua..."

Moriarty grabbed Joshua's sleeve, stopping him from turning around eagerly.

Joshua frowned and looked at the injuries on Moriarty's body again:

One arm was broken and hung limply under his body; his right eye was bruised and swollen so that he couldn't open it; there were many cuts on his waist and legs, and blood was seeping out from the cuts, staining his white shirt and brown suit pants.

At least wipe it with clean water, Joshua sighed deeply.

If the witch appeared at this moment, Joshua would immediately give her a lightsaber with ten times the power and the kind that could penetrate with one blow.

"You are too impatient..." Moriarty continued.

Joshua lowered his eyes. He admitted that he was very anxious and wanted to break up this messy world.

He was tired, bored, annoyed and angry... He hadn't seen the sun for a long time, and hadn't seen Ivy for a long time.

“If your mind is restless, you will often overlook important things.”

"I didn't, Mr. Moriarty. I discovered a lot of loopholes in this world." Joshua's tone was a little aggressive.

“Without the sun, without the moon, many trees should not be in the forest.”

"I didn't see a single insect or a flying bird. Tigers shouldn't be in such a humid forest, and wild dogs don't travel alone."

"This is not a real forest, at least not the kingdom east of Munich. To be more precise, it is more like a curtain where dramas are performed, and we are the protagonists of this drama."

"And then?" Moriarty said softly.

Joshua remained silent. That was all he had observed so far, nothing more.

“If you want to solve a puzzle, blindly looking for answers is not the best solution.”

“No matter how hard you try, by the time you find all the loopholes, the black bear will have already turned into bones.”

"You are too impetuous now, Joshua. You have been a little impatient since you entered this world."

"I can't do it, Mr. Moriarty." Tears welled up in Joshua's eyes again.

"There must be another way to crack the consciousness space. I must find it. I want to see classmate Ivy. Without me by her side to take care of her, I can't imagine what she would become!"

"This is none of Miss Ivy's business. Don't bring her into your pessimism." Moriarty replied seriously.

"Your idea is correct, Joshua, but you are not thinking in the right direction... Tilt the mirror to 45 degrees and try to see it from another perspective."

Joshua's eyes were red as he stared into Moriarty's eyes.

He understood some of it, but also didn't understand some of it.

"There's a stream ahead, I see it!"

As if to save the day, Thomas immediately brought some exciting good news.

"The river isn't wide at all, and Jacob is fishing in the river!"

"Jacob?" Moriarty pricked up his ears.

"Fishing?" Joshua opened his mouth wide.

He quickly walked in the direction Thomas pointed. The stream was indeed not far away. It was less than a hundred steps away and the view was clear.

The river is not wide, but the water flows very fast, and it takes some effort to cross it.

Jacob stood in the center of the stream, his black robe fluttering on the surface of the river.

"What kind of fish are you fishing for?"

Joshua narrowed his eyes, then his face changed drastically and he jumped back.

"That's a crocodile!"
