Operation Red Book

There is a constant stream of people in Stair Alley, and the Johns Newspaper Office on the second floor at the corner is even busier.

"Ms. Ivy! I really need someone like you! Please be my assistant! You will be the next one to win the Toxic Mushroom Outstanding Witch Award!"

"I don't want it—"

Ivy dodged around the newspaper office and ran around the desks.

Ms. Bell followed closely behind Ivy, with a desire gleam in her eyes that didn't look fake.

From time to time, black and grape purple afterimages passed by Joshua's eyes.

He stood close to the door, not daring to step an inch into the "battlefield".

"Ohhhhh! Game of chase!"

Thomas and Luna quietly joined the chase at some point.

There was constant laughter and shouting in the newspaper office. Joshua closed his eyes and held his forehead. The four people spinning in circles had already made him dizzy.

An irresistible force suddenly swept over Joshua's back, and he fell flat on the pine floor. It was the door behind him that suddenly opened.

Joshua's fallen body became an obstacle to Ivy's escape.

She was caught off guard and tripped by Joshua, falling heavily on his back.

Miss Bell failed to brake in time, and her slightly plump body tripped and fell on Ivy's back.

Joshua groaned and his whole face wrinkled. Ivy screamed above him and flapped her hands and feet.

"Ooooooh! Now it's the Pyramid Game!"

When Thomas saw the wall of people in front of him, he did not stop. Instead, he jumped on the spot and jumped onto Ms. Bell's back.

He stood up and cheered loudly, his arms like two waving flags.

Luna walked slowly to the "human pyramid" and looked at Thomas standing on the high place with lifeless eyes.

She was silent for a few seconds, raised the doll in her hand, and fell forward onto Joshua's outstretched legs.

Ivy and Ms. Bell screamed on top of Joshua, Thomas giggled, and Luna lowered her voice and uttered "oh" on the floor.

The noise filled the entire newspaper office. Hilda, who witnessed everything, stood at the door of the newspaper office with a solemn expression.

"What are you doing?"

"Ahh! Thomas! Get down here now!"

"Hilda! Come and help! Pull this brat down! My back is falling apart!"

Hilda put down the spear in her hand, stepped forward and picked Thomas up.

Unable to lift Ms. Bell, Hilda turned around, picked up her dangling legs, and pulled her down from the wall of people with a forward flip.

"Hey, Miss Ivy, long time no see, how are you these days?"

Hilda picked Ivy up, and Ivy straightened her messy hair and casually greeted her.

"And Joshua, are you feeling better?...Joshua seems to be out of breath."

Joshua seemed to have lost his movement, and only after a series of rescue efforts by Ms. Bell did he barely open his eyes.

Facing Hilda, Ivy suddenly became happy and smiling.

"Can you teach Joshua how to use his lightsaber?"

"But I can't use his lightsaber."

Hilda blinked her amber eyes and certainly didn't look modest or lying.

"How, how could that be? Didn't you make his weapon?" Ivy tilted her head and asked in confusion.

"I made it, but the idea for the weapon was given to me by Joshua. I just do whatever he says."

Joshua slowly calmed down after hearing this. He put on his glasses and said in a vague voice:

"I told her that I wanted a weapon that could be powered by electricity so that it could be easily carried. Then I drew a schematic diagram and she made it."

"Right, that is it."

Hilda took a number of weapons from her workstation, including a mace, a bolas, a rifle, a long sword, and an electric saw.

Hilda piled the weapons into a pile and threw them on her empty desk, which formed a sharp contrast with Alexander's desk full of green plants.

"Were there electric saws in 1881?" Ivy turned around and asked Joshua in surprise.

"Ms. Ivy, do you have a weapon? If not, I can make a handy weapon for you."

Ivy jumped excitedly on the spot, her face flushed, her joy and excitement evident in her words:

"Really? My own weapon!"

"Of course, if you are in a dangerous environment, having a weapon that you are familiar with will naturally give you more confidence."

Hilda curled the corners of her mouth, and her high red ponytail made her smile even more peaceful.

"Please tell me what you need and I will do my best to create it for you."

"Then I want an eleven-inch wand, made of holly wood, with a phoenix feather as the core, the kind that can defeat Voldemort!"

"Ms. Ivy, Miss Hilda is a human being and cannot make Harry Potter's wand..."

Joshua covered his eyes with his hands and spoke sullenly with his head raised.

"If you don't know what you need, then Ms. Ivy and Joshua should come to where I make weapons. I'm heading there soon."

Hilda's smile widened, and she extended an invitation to Joshua and Ivy.

"But I still want Harry Potter's wand. Otherwise, Doctor Who's sonic screwdriver will do!"

"Ms. Ivy, you, you are so cute... Why don't we go and see the weapons that Miss Hilda can make now."

Joshua's tone was helpless and floating. He chuckled, trying hard to suppress the upturned corners of his mouth, then stood up and walked behind Ivy.

After saying goodbye to everyone in the newspaper office, Joshua, Ivy and Hilda went up the stairs together.
