Operation Red Book

Chapter 132 The Small World Behind the White Cloth

"woo woo woo woo--"

Haley and Luke were hiding behind Holmes. They covered their mouths desperately, trying to suppress their instinctive physiological reactions in a simple way.

The three adults were on edge at all times, paying close attention to any noises coming from all directions.

The room was dead silent. Ivy slowed down her breathing and even the sound of her own heartbeat was a bother.

Suddenly, a cool breeze seemed to cut across her skin like a sharp blade.

The chill ran down her spine to the back of her neck, a cold light flashed from the corner of her eyes, and Ivy got goose bumps all over her body.

"Sherlock, watch your back!"

Before she could react, Ivy shouted at Holmes and quickly squatted down with Grace behind her.

"Boom-boom!"

The metal with a cold glow passed through the air above Ivy and hit the iron door behind her, making a loud noise.

"Is it okay!"

Holmes's rough voice came from the other side, and before Ivy could respond, another bullet flew straight towards Ivy's right brain.

"Uh--"

Ivy's body lost balance, her eyes were shrouded in darkness, and her mind also fell into darkness.

When she came to her senses, what she saw were Grace's watery eyes, and she was thrown to the ground by Grace.

"Grace?"

Ivy called out Grace's name unconsciously, feeling mixed emotions.

"Miss Grace!"

"You bastard! Don't even think about running away!"

The sound came near and far, breaking Ivy's trance. The world in front of her eyes was spinning upside down and waves of pain came from the top of her head.

It was not until she felt warm liquid in her palm that Ivy discovered that Grace's back was already covered with blood.

Holmes easily captured Morris in the dark with just a few moves. He took back his pistol and twisted Morris onto the dissecting table.

"I'm fine, kids, don't worry about me."

Grace was helped up by Haley and Luke. Although she said some comforting words, her lips had already turned white and were trembling.

Ivy knocked her head and climbed up staggeringly with Haley's help, but she lost her balance and fell to the ground.

"Hahahahaha!"

A few sinister laughs worsened Ivy's headache.

She raised her eyes with difficulty and looked at Morris who was smiling horribly.

"Shut up!"

Holmes twisted it still harder, pressing down upon his injured arm.

"Ugh!"

Morris screamed, beads of sweat covering his forehead.

"Luke, you are a man, go pull down that white cloth over there, and then immediately run back with your eyes closed."

Holmes called out Luke's name. After Luke settled Grace, he trotted to the white cloth, stretched out his hand and pulled down the entire wall of white cloth.

As Luke came back, the white cloths fell down one after another like flowing water, revealing the space covered by the white cloths.

The space was filled with densely packed glass jars, ranging from small to large, neatly arranged on the walls and the floor.

The glass jar was filled with a clear liquid, in which were brown organs with distinct wrinkles.

There is a liver, kidneys, intestines, lungs, and some small, indescribable things.

The white cloth on the opposite wall was also torn off, and the glass jars here were larger and deeper.

It was filled with curled up corpses of all sizes, all naked, their hair shaved cleanly, and there was a hideous stitch on their stomachs.

After being soaked in the liquid, their facial features had long been deformed, and the skin of some corpses had even turned translucent.

They just stayed like that, quietly in the small space behind the white cloth.

Ivy only took a quick look before she could no longer bear the churning in her stomach, so she crawled to the side and vomited out all the food in her stomach mixed with acid.

Grace collapsed on the ground, her whole body shaking. A few strands of her golden hair drooped down, soaked with cold sweat and stuck to her face.

"Who are your clients? Apart from the nobles you correspond with, who else can they be?" Holmes asked angrily.

"Hahahahaha! No comment! No comment!" Morris roared with a ferocious face.

Holmes pinched Morris's wound tightly, and the white bandage was stained red by the gushing blood.

Morris grimaced in pain, but still refused to reveal the names of those people.

"Damn it! I can find out everything without you telling me!"

Holmes took out the pistol from his waist and pressed the hot muzzle against Morris' temple.

"Why? Why are you doing this?" Grace asked hoarsely and tremblingly.

"Why? You are not qualified to ask me why. You just need to know that it is right to obey me and to obey your God!" Morris yelled hysterically.

"I have always respected my God and I have always obeyed His instructions..."

"I am the God you should obey, bitch! What God? There has never been a God! Are you going to speak frankly? There is no God's will, no faith, and no so-called heaven!"

"I saved you, so I am your God! You shouldn't think I was wrong, and you are not qualified to ask me why!" Morris said sternly.

"Look at what you've done, Grace, look at what you've done!" Morris' face was grim and his tone became stern.

"It's all your fault. Your beloved child was sent to the cage by you! You deserve to die, Bitch!"

"shut up!"

Holmes shouted sharply and swung the pistol heavily at Morris' face, and a black spot immediately appeared in Morris's eyes.

Grace cried silently. She was still shaking all over, her lips twitching and she couldn't speak.

"Grace..."

Ivy gently held her in her arms, and Haley and Luke also leaned gently into Grace's arms, patting Grace's arms while trying to hold back tears.

"It's not your fault, you know, it's not your fault..."

Ivy and the two children gently comforted Grace, constantly saying in her ears, "It's not your fault."

Grace closed her eyes tightly with a look of pain, her thick eyelashes were soaked with tears and stuck to her snow-white face.

"It's not my fault..." Grace said in a low voice.

"It's not my fault, right, It's not my fault..."

Grace spoke clearly, syllable by syllable.

She opened her eyes, and her determined gaze through her moist pupils pierced the overwhelmed Maurice like a spear.

"You bitch, I saved you, you ungrateful bitch!"

Morris yelled at Grace in disbelief, repeatedly emphasizing the words "Bitch" and "Help".

Grace shook her head, tears falling from her eyes, but her gaze remained firm.

"Wait, what do you mean by rescue? Grace...how did she end up in this orphanage?"

Ivy said groggily, the strong premonition in her heart about to burst out.
