Operation Red Book

Chapter 112: Dining Again in Florence 1

"Miss Grace, what are you talking about! This is Miss Ivy, you were praising her to me the day before yesterday!"

Henry's face flushed red as he spoke to Grace anxiously.

"If it happened in our place, I would have to file a complaint through a one-stop service, and reports of racial discrimination are processed the fastest."

Ivy said this through gritted teeth. She smiled on the surface, but her palms hidden behind her back had been scratched with several bright red marks by her fingernails.

"I've tried it, it's true." Joshua responded to Ivy in a low voice and nodded in agreement.

"This is so targeted that it's hard not to suspect that they did it on purpose." Holmes crossed his arms and tapped his leather shoes on the ground impatiently.

"The last time we came, Miss Ivy beat up Dean Morris." Joshua leaned over and whispered to Holmes.

"What a troublemaker! You should have told us earlier. I see there is a low wall over there. We can just climb over it." Holmes spoke to Joshua in a low voice.

"Ms. Ivy, Mr. Williams, and Master Emerson, I'm really sorry. These are the rules set by Dean Morris, and I must abide by them..." Grace lowered her head and pulled at her white apron with both hands.

Dorian raised his eyebrows and looked at Ivy, then folded his hands without saying a word.

Ivy listened to Grace's gentle voice, but still couldn't connect the peaceful and loving lady in front of her with the god of death holding a machete.

Ivy wanted to ask about the Grim Reaper right away, but there were too many people around and Henry was a kid who knew nothing, so there was no way she could ask directly.

Grace's flushed face caught Ivy's sight, and Henry's pleading voice kept echoing in her ears.

"Ms. Grace, you actually welcome Joshua and I to visit again, right?"

Ivy stared straight at Grace's cheek, while Grace deliberately avoided Ivy's gaze.

"I, I, I was just following Dean Morris's orders. Dean Morris said he didn't want to see Miss Ivy and Mr. Williams again... Although the children like you very much, Dean Morris's orders cannot be disobeyed."

"But Mr. Morris is not here. I heard that he won't be back until the day after tomorrow. It shouldn't be a problem for us to stay with Master Dorian for a while and then leave." Ivy tilted her head and spoke in a low voice.

"Yeah! Well...that's right." Grace opened her round eyes and a smile appeared on the corners of her mouth.

"Ms. Grace Coleman, I am here to sign the adoption agreement on the orders of my mother. You know, I love my mother very much and I really don't want to disappoint her expectations."

Dorian smiled and said in a feigned embarrassment.

"Of course, Mrs. Emerson will not treat you unfairly. If you can successfully adopt a child, we will sponsor the Florence Orphanage to a certain amount of money."

Dorian took out a piece of cheese bread from the bread bag and handed it to Henry with a smile.

"These loaves are for the children. They are a present from Mrs. Emerson."

Dorian saluted gracefully, and Grace couldn't help but admire his clear voice and elegant manners.

"Oh, Master Dorian is so magnanimous! You have come from afar, and Florence will definitely live up to your trust! Miss Ivy, Mr. Williams, please come in!"

Grace's smiling eyes curved into shallow crescents, adding more radiance to her dignified and beautiful face.

She walked happily to Joshua and Holmes, and with a simple gesture of her finger, she picked up the two large bags of bread.

Grace carried the heavy objects easily and entered the gate of the welfare home first, leaving everyone stunned and looking at each other.

"I'm starting to believe Raphael's lies now. I should be able to have a good meal today."

Dorian glanced at Ivy sneerfully, then followed Grace with his hands behind his back.
