Later, Li Zhengdao's score in the electrical experiment was 70 points, which was almost the lowest score.

This also made Professor Ye Qisun, Dean of the School of Science at Southwest United University, begin to appreciate Li Zhengdao and was very impressed by him. Professor Wu Dayou received an order from Zhu Jiahua and went to England on behalf of the Hua Xia Research Institute and the Ministry of Education to attend the celebration of Newton's 300th anniversary of the birth of the Royal Society of England, and then detoured to the United States via Europe.

As soon as Professor Wu Ta-you arrived in the United States, he immediately went to see Dr. P. F. Bacher of the United States Atomic Energy Commission and discussed with this American scientist, who was once Professor Wu Ta-you's classmate, the possibility of assisting China in establishing an institution to develop atomic bombs.

After Professor Zeng Zhaolun arrived in the United States first, he had some negotiations and contacts with relevant personnel of the United States. After Professor Zeng Zhaolun and Hua Luogeng arrived in the United States with five young students, they also introduced to everyone the situation of their contact with relevant personnel of the United States.

From their contacts with relevant personnel from the United States, they discovered that the attitude of the United States, which had been previously expressed by Albert Coty Wedemeyer, the former Chief of Staff of the Allied China Theater, that it was willing to help China build an atomic bomb, had reversed.
