The Strongest Knight

Chapter 20 Chase

On a remote mountain road covered with vegetation, five green-skinned orcs were lurking in the bushes vigilantly.

Their eyes looked longingly at the bottom of the rock.

Below, is a human village.

In winter, the streams and rivers flowing around the edge of the village are also covered with a thick layer of ice.

Several villagers were digging holes in the frozen river and fishing for fish hiding under the ice.

After just one morning, the harvest was very good, with several large buckets filled with several hundred kilograms of large black fish.

Orc Alpha is the leader of this orc escape team.

Late last night, he and several powerful orcs met and launched the riot that had been planned for a long time.

Except for those powerful mages, strange wizards, and strong knights, ordinary humans were no match for the orcs. After a riot, only a single digit of orc slaves died. A total of more than 40 orc slaves escaped from Stoneclaw City.

Fearing of being caught up by human soldiers, Alpha's team fled all night and had no time to eat. The possibility of these orcs from another continent finding food in the snow-covered mountains was almost zero.

At one point, Alpha thought he would starve to death while fleeing.

The corpse was covered in snow, and it was unknown whether the soul could return to its distant hometown.

Fortunately, a human village suddenly appeared before their eyes.

Now, Alpha, who is plagued by hunger, decides to rob the human villagers. Whether he will be discovered by human soldiers is no longer so important.

Compared to dying in battle or being captured and executed, starving to death is the most humiliating way to die.

This position is high and commanding, and the entire village can be seen. Alpha left an orc to be on guard, so that he could report it in time when he found human soldiers, and they could run back to the mountains as soon as possible.

"Hula! Kill these damn humans! Steal their food!"

Alpha stood up from the bushes and charged with three orc slaves.

Every orc slave is over two meters tall, and three times stronger than the strongest human. Alpha, the leader who makes the four orcs surrender, is a terrifyingly taller than two meters and four meters, with well-proportioned muscles, and peak strength and agility.

Although there were only four orcs launching the charge, their momentum was already astonishing.

The villagers on the river looked in horror at the green-skinned monster running down the mountain. Some of them simply gave up the fish they had caught and ran back to the village, while others tried to take today's catch back with them, as food was not easy to catch in winter.

The villagers who tried to carry away their harvest underestimated the speed of the orcs' charge. Even though they were all barefoot, the stones on the mountain path could not pierce their tough skin.

In just ten seconds, Alpha took the lead and ran hundreds of meters.

Alpha couldn't understand the language of these human villagers, but he saw the fear on his face. Those words might be a plea for mercy.

There was no need to sympathize with these hateful humans. Thinking of the abuse he had suffered since becoming a slave, anger surged in his heart. The scabbed whip marks on his back seemed to be filled with rage that was about to burst out and tear his body apart.

"Die!" Alpha grabbed the human man's head, lifted him up, and crushed him to death.

All the villagers gave up their harvest and ran quickly towards the village. Many men appeared in the village with weapons in hand after hearing the cries for help.

"boom!"

With a loud bang, Alpha felt the ice under his feet crack, his body fell, and then was submerged by the cold river water.

It turned out to be an orc slave who grabbed the villager's ankle, lifted his body up angrily, and then flipped him over and smashed him down as if to vent his anger. The huge force broke the ice, and the ice under Alpha's feet also broke, and he fell into the river.

"Idiot!!" Alpha quickly got ashore from the icy river. Looking back, the barrels of black fish had already disappeared under the broken river surface.

"Leader! What should we do?" Three orcs also came ashore from the river.

A large number of human men holding weapons had gathered at the entrance of the village, and a hint of disdain flashed in Alpha's eyes.

"Ordinary humans can't stop us mighty orc warriors. Follow me, kill our way in, and plunder the food!"

......

Gray led the cavalry on the road. When they smelled the strong smell of blood and rushed to the scene, there was no one alive in the village called Blue River Village, which had more than a hundred people.

"alert!"

"Leave twenty men here! Ten of you get off your horses and follow me into the village to investigate!"

At the entrance of the village, a large number of men's bodies were lying in a mess.

They had tried hard to resist.

"It's the fleeing orcs." Gray spoke calmly when he saw a green arm broken off from a strong man.

Garou could hear the anger beneath Gray's calm tone.

He was also very angry, and became even angrier after he entered the village and saw many children, old people and women who had died in tragic ways.

These damn orcs!!

Garu noticed that Gray suddenly stopped, closed his eyes, and sensed something.

"Just left, come with me." Gray opened his eyes.

The three strands of knight soul elevated Gray's senses to a level unattainable by ordinary people.

Especially since one of the orcs had a broken arm, the smell of blood was the best guiding light.

No one can escape the knight's pursuit.

Gray chased towards the mountain path on the side.

Garou and the soldiers followed closely behind.

The process of chasing and killing is a very boring process before the real fight.

Gray could feel the distance closing, but he couldn't catch up with those damn orc slaves immediately.

On the mountain road, Alpha continued to move forward in one direction with the four well-fed beast slaves.

What Alpha didn't know was that he was actually heading towards Birch Castle.

This is also the reason why Gray was able to encounter them head-on before reaching Stoneclaw City.

"Chief, where should we escape to?" An orc who was hurrying on his way felt that this strange continent belonging to humans was boundless and he might never be able to return to his hometown.

Alpha said without thinking: "Let's find the sea, then we can make a raft and go home the same way!"

Regardless of the feasibility of this plan, the orcs at least had a goal, so they stopped talking and continued on their way.

Alpha had a depressing feeling as if a disaster was about to happen, a feeling he had never had even when he started the riot last night.

Are there any pursuers coming?

call out!

An arrow whizzed past and pierced the back of the orc slave behind him, confirming his guess!

"Ho ho..."

The force of the arrow was beyond imagination. The orc in the middle fell to the ground with blood spurting out of his mouth. It was obvious that his lungs had been pierced.

Alpha didn't have time to think about it. He picked up a stone beside him and threw it hard in the direction where the arrow came from.

A figure jumped out from the bushes to avoid the rocks. Alpha discovered that there was only one pursuer, a burly knight covered in iron armor.
