Strictly speaking, Master Zhengguang and Youyouzi’s methods of practice are different, and the two cannot be lumped together.

Taoist Master Youyouzi can easily board the boat to the other shore, but he dare not easily touch the water of the sea of heart. Master Zhengguang can soak in the sea of heart, but he dare not board the boat to the other shore. There is no comparison between the two.

The cultivation levels of the two may serve as a reference, but in terms of state of mind, both Buddhism and Taoism attach great importance to cultivating the mind, so it is really hard to tell which is higher.

What's more, Master Zhengguang often strictly demands himself, recites scriptures and chants Buddha's name on time, and practices meditation, while Youyouzi just plays around in the world and has a variety of things to do every day, so everyone always subconsciously thinks that Master Zhengguang's state of mind is higher than Youyouzi's.

"Master, as long as you board the boat and concentrate on chanting Buddha's name without thinking about other things, isn't that enough?"

Igan said.

It thought that since Master Zhengguang recited sutras and chanted Buddha's name every day, it should not be difficult for him to concentrate on chanting Buddha's name for a period of time on the boat to the other shore.

Master Zhengguang smiled and shook his head slightly. It is easy to say that chanting Buddha's name with all your heart, but how easy is it to do it?

In the temple, one can concentrate on chanting Buddha's name while looking at the Buddha statues and incense burners, but that does not mean he can do the same while sitting on a boat.

The swaying waves, the gentle sea breeze, the scenery that can only be seen on the boat, and even the boat itself, were attracting him and making his mind wander.

Ordinary people cannot board the boat to the other shore; this is a legendary thing in Buddhism.

"Let's try it. At worst I can just build another boat."

Yi Gan advised with a smile, looking relaxed.

"Amitabha, then I will listen to Master Yi."

Seeing that Yi Gan was not afraid of loss or failure, Master Zhengguang no longer had any concerns and decided to give it a try.

Yi Gan's mouth curled up slightly, and he was secretly happy.

If you could really see Master Zhengguang falling into the water in such an embarrassing way, what would the loss of a boat matter?

Yigan called upon his inner demon and pushed the boat hard, and the new boat to the other shore officially entered the water.

After observing for ten minutes and making sure there was no problem with the hull, Yi Gan handed over the first voyage of the Higanshu to Master Zhengguang.

"Master, please."

Yigan invited Master Zhengguang to board the ship.

"Amitabha, thank you very much, donor Yi."

Master Zhengguang thanked him, then floated carefully onto the boat to the other side.

She lightly stepped on the loafers on her feet and stood on the deck.

The hull is fine.

Master Zhengguang breathed a sigh of relief.

He sat down cross-legged, clasped his hands together, and began to chant the Buddha's name.

The boat swayed slightly, and the bow gradually turned to the depths of the heart sea, and began its first voyage slowly, until the figure of Master Zhengguang became as small as a bean, and then disappeared from Yigan's sight.

"My inner demon, where do you think the other shore boat will take Master Zhengguang?"

Igan asked.

"What the heart thinks, the mind goes. Wherever Master Zhengguang thinks, the boat to the other shore will go."

The inner demon said.

When Yi Gan heard this, his face changed.

"what happened?"

The inner demon asked.

"Do you think Master Zhengguang would want to go to the other side?"

After hearing Yi Gan's question, the inner demon's face changed.

Why can't ordinary people reach the other shore? Because the other shore is usually reached after death!

"No way? Master Zhengguang has such a high level of cultivation, maybe he can reach the other side and achieve enlightenment if he survives?"

The inner demon said.

"Doesn't that mean he died on this voyage?"

Igan asked back.

"..."

The inner demon has mixed feelings.

The two sat on the beach waiting for Master Zhengguang to return. They waited from the time the sun just set until dark, and then until the bright moon was high in the sky, before the boat slowly returned to the shore.

"Congratulations, Master, on your return."

After the boat to the other shore docked, the inner demon first congratulated Master Zhengguang.

"Amitabha, it's just an improvement in my state of mind, not worth mentioning."

Master Zhengguang said modestly.

"Master, where did the boat take you? Why did you come back so late?"

Igan asked.

"Brought to the other side."

Master Zhengguang replied.

“Have we really reached the other side!?”

Igan and the inner demon exclaimed.

"Yes, but the other side I arrived at was not what you imagined."

Master Zhengguang sighed before continuing:

"I silently chanted the Buddha's name on the boat, without any control or direction. I just let the boat take me away, and soon I arrived at an island. The emotional power on the island is more intense than the heart sea, like a place where all the emotional power of the heart sea is condensed. I just stood on the beach for a while, and the inner demon was aroused again."

"So I returned to the boat on the other shore, and it took me some time to calm down. I continued chanting the Buddha's name, and finally I returned to the sea of my heart."

"I think it must be because my heart is still worried and restless, that I was brought to such a place of desire by the other side boat. My cultivation is far from enough!"

After Master Zhengguang finished speaking, he returned to his meditation room and continued to meditate and practice.

Yi Gan thought about it, then ran to the fishing raft to see Master Zhengguang’s inner demon, which had indeed become stronger and bigger.

Could it be that this time boarding the boat to the other shore caused Master Zhengguang's cultivation to regress?

Yi Gan and Xin Mo were in a depressed mood and didn't say anything.

"Come with me to that island tomorrow."

Yigan said to the inner demon.

The inner demon nodded. It was also very curious about how such an island could appear in the sea of heart.

If it is really a place where the essence of the emotional power of the heart is concentrated, perhaps it should be called the Island of Desire.

"Then you should rest early today. I will go down to earth first."

There are still 12 minutes until midnight, and Yigan is about to descend to the earth.

"Host, I will go down with you today."

The inner demon said at this time.

"You? You're already in the Star Realm, why are you coming down to the mortal realm?"

Igan asked back.

"I was born from the host's desire. Strictly speaking, I am just a consciousness of the host, and I share one body with the host. A consciousness is naturally not restricted by the immortal world. As long as it enters the host's sea of consciousness, it can naturally descend to the mortal world."

The inner demon said.

"Eh? Is that so?"

Yi Gan suddenly realized that the inner demon did not follow him to the mortal world because it was just a consciousness.

It’s not that I’m being treated differently by the immortal world.

"I am just wandering around here today without any purpose. Are you sure you want to come with me and hang out? Why don't you spend more time practicing?"

Igan asked again.

"I'm usually asleep at this time and not practicing. Let me stay up late for once today and go down to the mortal world with the host to have some fun."

The inner demon said with a smile.

Yi Gan had a weird look on his face and touched the inner demon's forehead.

"My inner demon doesn't practice cultivation and wants to go out to play in the middle of the night? Is he sick? Can inner demons get sick?"

"roll……"
