Hogwarts and the Atypical Wizard

Chapter 15: Opening Party - Continued

"It looks really good!" The fat monk ghost looked at everyone eating heartily, with a sad expression on his face.

Sainz couldn't pretend that he didn't know that ghosts couldn't touch real objects, and he certainly wouldn't be a fool to invite him to dinner with him, because that would be a poke in the other person's lungs.

Among the four college ghosts, the Fat Friar is the most compassionate, kind and concerned about students. He even tries to convince the ghosts to accept Peeves.

Sainz tried to divert his attention, "Sorry, I haven't asked you yet, may I know your name?"

The fat monk thought seriously for a while, "I don't know, I don't remember, everyone calls me the fat monk, you can call me that too, I am happy with it."

After everyone had eaten their fill, the remaining food disappeared from the plates, and the plates instantly became as shiny and clean as new.

After the main meal comes dessert.

Various puddings, fried jam donuts, various ice creams, fruit pies, jellies, various cakes...

Sainz does not discriminate against food from any place, nor does he want to judge other people's food tastes.

Although so many years have passed, he is still not used to the British diet.

When kids who have just met chat together, the topic inevitably turns to their families.

Ben Stebbins' parents were both wizards, Sainz already knew that when he was on the train.

Adam Summers introduced himself, "My family are all wizards, but my parents are both Gryffindors, but I was selected into Hufflepuff. I hope they won't reject me because of this."

Cedric Diggory is also a wizard and can be considered a pure-blood, but he is not among the 28 pure-bloods.

After getting familiar with each other, the little witches next to them also introduced themselves one after another: Lucia Trevino, Brenda Carvalho, Marian Warner, Celica Rojas...

Gradually, everyone stopped eating and just gathered together to chat. The voices gradually became louder and louder.

"It seems that everyone is full. Now that everyone has eaten and drunk enough, I have a few words to say to everyone." Dumbledore stood up and spoke.

“At the beginning of the semester, I would like to remind everyone of a few things.

Freshmen, I need to remind you that no one is allowed to enter the wooded area on the school grounds. Some of the older students should also remember this.

Also, do not perform magic in the corridors during class breaks. This is what the administrator, Mr. Filch, reminds everyone to do."

A skinny, hunched figure with thinning gray hair stood against the wall of the auditorium and gestured forward so that the freshmen could see him.

He was holding a cat. The cat was skinny and had dark gray fur. Like him, it had a pair of bulging eyes like light bulbs.

Filch had a malicious look on his face, and even though he didn't say anything, he had a creepy aura.

Sainz knew that it was due to long-term jealousy and resentment. He was a "Squib", that is, someone whose parents were wizards but who could not cast magic.

He just didn't want to stay away from the wizarding world. Watching his students gradually become people he would never be, it was not surprising that their psychology would become perverted and distorted over time.

Seeing that everyone had heard clearly, Dumbledore continued, "The selection of Quidditch players has always been the focus of everyone's attention. The qualification review will be carried out in the second week. Students who are interested in joining the college team, please contact Madam Hooch.

Now, before we all go to bed, let's sing the school song together!"

Dumbledore's loud proposal did not win the approval of other professors. Instead, their smiles froze.

The headmaster flicked his wand lightly, and a long golden ribbon floated out of the wand, swimming over the dining table like a fish, swam and coiled to form lines of text.

"You can choose any tune you like. Ready, sing!"

Hogwarts, Hogwarts... Please teach us knowledge...

All the staff sang loudly, with mixed performances!

What was different was that after everyone had finished singing, there were still two people singing a passionate duet to the melody of "Wedding March".

The two little wizards were a pair of twins who looked exactly the same. Sainz guessed that they must be the Weasley twins who later gave all the teachers a headache.

Dumbledore waved his wand like a music conductor, accompanying them both until the end.

When the music ended, everyone applauded loudly, and the loudest applause came from the principal.

"Every time I hear this beautiful music!" He began to wipe his eyes again, "I feel that the charm of it surpasses anything we do here!"

"Headmaster!" Professor McGonagall's voice was serious but with a hint of helplessness.

"Oh, sorry, you know, that's what happens when you get older. It's bedtime now. Everyone go back to the dorms."

"Hufflepuff freshmen, please follow us. I am the prefect Kenneth, Kenneth Cooper, and the lady next to me is the prefect Sheila Morton. We are all fifth-year students."

"Thank you Kenneth, I thought I would introduce myself, as this chatty fellow said, I am the head girl, my name is Sheila Morton, and we will now lead you to the common room."

Kenneth's cousin is slightly taller than his cousin, with grey eyes and short brown-grey hair. He can't be called ugly, but he's definitely not handsome either.

In comparison, Sheila's appearance is much more outstanding, a typical European beauty.

The deep blue eyes were as clear as a pool of water, and it seemed as if emeralds would drip out of them at any time. The shiny golden hair was simply tied into a ponytail at the back of the head. According to Sainz's standards in his previous life, it should be at least 7 or 8 points.

Sainz found that most of the freshmen's attention was on Sheila, both boys and girls.

"Okay, I think everyone will have plenty of time to pay attention to Silla later. Now, please follow us to the common room."

Kenneth interrupted the freshmen's gaze and led everyone to the hall where they had waited for the sorting.

"We just attended the opening banquet in the auditorium, which is connected to the lobby by a side door." Sheila introduced to the freshmen.

"This is the entrance hall." They came to the hall with a high ceiling behind the oak door that Hagrid had knocked open earlier.

Kenneth took over Sheila's words, "Our common room is in the middle of the entrance hall, leading to the stone steps upstairs, and there is a staircase on one side that goes down. We call it the Hufflepuff basement.

It’s the staircase on the side close to the auditorium!

Don't go in the wrong direction, the stairs on the other side away from the Great Hall lead to the Slytherin dungeon.

If you go in accidentally... hehe... ha... just kidding, you can't get in without the password."
