Me and my fantasy world

Chapter 12 Nord Town

In the early morning, the sun still shone selflessly on the ground and on the nameless village where Lingyi was. Lingyi fell on the roof again with a bitter look on his face.

"Oh, not today either." Lingyi said, lying on his roof and stretching. He wanted to continue sleeping for a while, but the voices of Leo and Alice came from under the eaves.

"Hey! Lingyi, are you going to see Uncle Pan?" Leo shouted.

"Xiaoyi, do you want to go?" Alice repeated.

"Coming," Lingyi responded, and he jumped off the roof again, following the flow of early risers all the way to the village chief's room.

……

'It has been two or three days since that day. The knights have returned to Nord Town to report. Aunt Xue asked for the envoy who presided over the awakening ceremony to come, so I have been able to spend the past two days in peace.'

"The Knights' reason was that they thought there were thieves in our village, so they sent two people to scout first, and the others waited for an opportunity to act. I was confused when I heard it. If they were really here to scout, would they fight with Leo because of Leo's identity? Would they be rude to Uncle Pan, the elderly village chief? I really can't understand the way people in this world think."

"But Aunt Xue actually believed this explanation. She believed it! I'm convinced. Alice and Leo also believed it. Hey, Leo! It was your father who beat you up, and it was your mother who was bullied. So you just forgive them? How can you be so careless..."

'Every villager present at the time accepted the insincere apology from the Knights and forgave them in the end... If he only had to bow his head and apologize to pay for a mistake, then the cost of making a mistake would be too low! What's the difference between him and the islanders in the previous world!'

'What's even more outrageous is that they even said I was narrow-minded. Am I a saint? Why should I forgive someone who bullied us? That's a kind of contempt that comes from the upper class for livestock. Why should I forgive them? '

'If I were really a 10-year-old child, I might really be influenced by the environment and think that I am narrow-minded, but I am an adult in my 30s and I know right from wrong.'

'Afterwards, Aunt Xue went to see the village chief Uncle Pan and Leo's father. Fortunately, they were stopped in time. Aunt Xue only needed to infuse magic power to speed up their body's regeneration. Fortunately, both of them were fine. Now Leo's father can move normally, but the village chief Uncle Pan can only lie in bed. '

'From that moment on, I didn't have a good impression of Nord Town. Let them do whatever they want, but the foundation of all this still needs to be strengthened. Only when you are strong can you have the right to say no to others and have the power to protect yourself.'

'If I can't practice now and can't strengthen myself through magic, then I will use some memories of my past life to make something to protect myself.'

……

Arriving at the village chief's door, Alice knocked gently: "Uncle Pan, Uncle Pan? Shall we come in?"

"Oh, Alice, come in." The voice of the hunchbacked old man came from inside the house.

Alice quietly opened the door and peeked inside. The room was clean and bright. She could see a desk as soon as she entered the room. Following the desk and looking along the wall, she could see a bed with a hunchbacked old man lying on it.

"Uncle Pan! How are you? Are you feeling better?" Leo suddenly shouted and rushed into the house.

"Leo! Can't you keep your voice down?" Alice quickly caught up with Leo and knocked on his head, scolding him.

"Hahaha, it's okay, it's okay. As long as you little guys are happy." The hunchbacked old man smiled kindly.

Lingyi was the last one to slowly walk into the room, his eyes filled with unwillingness and anger: "Uncle Pan, are you feeling better?" Lingyi suppressed his anger and said calmly.

"Xiao Yi..." The old man seemed to realize that Ling Yi had not been put down yet, so he turned around and tried to sit up straight.

But suddenly, there was a crackling sound from all the bones in his body, which was even heard by Lingyi who had just entered the room. The three little guys hurriedly jumped on the old man's bed and supported him.

"Uncle Pan! What are you doing?" Alice scolded.

"Yes, Uncle Pan, tell us what's the matter. What are you doing?" Leo said with concern.

"No, nothing." The old man insisted on sitting up straight. Alice helped the old man up and leaned him against the wall. She held the old man's hand and squatted on the edge of the bed. Leo held the old man's leg with one hand and also squatted on the edge of the bed.

The two little guys looked at the old man curiously, like children listening to a story, but the old man's gaze was always on Lingyi.

Lingyi was behind Leo at this time, farthest away from the old man, with his hands on the bed. He was the only one of the three who did not squat down.

"Xiaoyi, are you still angry about Uncle Pan's matter?" The old man smiled with relief.

"Of course, they are nothing!" Lingyi said angrily.

"Xiaoyi, you have to understand that we are not forgiving, but accepting." The old man said with great sadness. After hearing this, Lingyi felt as if a basin of vinegar was poured on his heart, so sour that it made him feel suffocated. "What will happen if we forgive? What will happen if we don't forgive? Child, sometimes you have to think about yourself. You are still alive in this world and you have to accept these facts."

"Why should I accept it? Can't they just talk properly?" Lingyi spoke in an increasingly loud voice, but the old man still taught him slowly in a soft voice.

"Xiao Yi, just like what Uncle Pan said, this is the truth, and it has nothing to do with whether we forgive or not." The old man smiled sadly, "Uncle Pan is very happy that you can stand up for the injustice of Uncle Pan, but you also have to understand that the so-called "justice" in people's mouths comes at a price. Don't force yourself to stand out. It will not do you any good."

"But, Uncle Pan, they treat you like this, don't you feel..." Lingyi paused as he spoke, as if something was stuck in his throat.

"What do you mean? Uncle Pan doesn't think there is anything wrong." The old man smiled and said, "Children, this world is yours, but it is not just yours. There are many different kinds of people in the world. Don't hold grudges for a lifetime because of a little setback. You still have to live well. You three are the only ones who possess magic power in our village, and there is a bright future waiting for you."

"But Uncle Pan..." Lingyi was about to retort, but there was a knock on the door.

"Uncle Pan, someone is coming from Nord." said the woman at the door.

"Okay, I understand." Uncle Pan said, and his eyes swept over the three people in front of him again. He let go of Alice's hand, patted Alice's head gently and said, "Go, kids."

"Okay..." Alice and Leo stood up and walked towards the door together. Only Lingyi stayed where he was. The two of them looked back at Lingyi, as if waiting for him.

The old man smiled charitably, seeming to not care about all the injustices: "Xiaoyi, you still have a future. Live well in Nord. Don't let Uncle Pan's matter ruin your future. Living a good life in Nord Town is what our whole village wants."

Lingyi looked at the old man's kind eyes. He closed his eyes, which were originally blazing, and sighed, "Oh...Okay, I understand, Uncle Pan."

"That's right, go ahead." The old man waved his hand outside, and Lingyi left the bed. Leo opened the door and walked out of the room first, followed by Alice. When Lingyi reached the door, he paused and turned to look at the old man. The old man thought Lingyi still had some questions, so he asked in confusion, "What's wrong, Xiaoyi?"

Lingyi gritted his teeth and said firmly: "If "justice" requires a price, then my body will be the bargaining chip, my soul will be the scale, and my will will be the judgment. Those who want to change me will eventually make me stronger!"

This sentence was like a revelation to the old man. Looking at the ten-year-old boy in front of him, the old man seemed to have gone back to a few years ago, when the girl with long white hair had said the same thing...

Walking out of the door, the old man stared blankly at the half-open door, a little absent-minded, turned back to look at the window, his eyes full of helplessness: "Ayue, your big words came true, but you disappeared. Now your child has embarked on the same path as you. Should I stop him, or restrain him like I did to you back then..."

……

When he walked out of the door, he saw a woman standing at the village chief's door. When Lingyi came out, the woman waved and said with a smile: "Everyone is here, let's go, the envoy is still waiting at the entrance of the village."

"Okay." Alice and Leo answered obediently, but Zero-One put his hands in his pockets and followed at the end of the team with an unwilling look on his face.

At the entrance of the village is a luxuriously decorated carriage. The carriage is a traditional square shape. There are no luxurious decorations on it, but the combination of gold and red has a certain Chinese style.

Alice and Leo both widened their eyes. They had never seen a carriage before, and seeing it today was like opening the door to a new world. However, they did not dare to move as they followed the woman.

Lingyi's face was still gloomy. He was somewhat fond of the car with some Chinese style, but he couldn't be happy when he saw the knights on the two horses.

The two knights riding on the horses were the knight and the knight commander who came to the village to cause trouble that day. The Snow Girl kindly thawed the frozen man and let them go.

Maybe he needed a guide to bring them along, but seeing them, Zero One couldn't be happy at all.

The carriage was pulled by two horses, with a single horse in front and two horses behind, each with a knight. Needless to say, this team of five was the knights who caused trouble that day.

When Lingyi saw this scene, his face turned as black as coal. He had no good feelings at all and even had a hint of murderous intent.

When the woman brought the three children, the leading knight dismounted, walked to the carriage door, and knocked twice: "Sir, the three children are here."

"Really? That's good." A strong male voice came from inside the carriage. When the door was opened, a huge belly came into view, as if it could block the entire door.

But the man insisted on getting out of the carriage to greet him, and as expected, his stomach was stuck in the carriage door and he couldn't get out.

Upon seeing this, the Knight Commander hurriedly pulled the "sir" he was talking about out of the car, and with great effort he finally pulled him out.

The man had a messy white beard that extended all the way to his ears. His face was full of traces of time, and he looked like a man in his fifties or sixties.

The gray hair on his temples was like two clumps, covering his eyes. The only visible facial features seemed to be his ears and nose, and his face was also half-hidden by the beard.

He was wearing a bright and gorgeous suit, but his exaggerated belly seemed to be half sagging, as if it could touch the ground.

Such an exaggerated appearance made Lingyi a little confused, but when the man stood up straight, his height was almost the same as that of ten-year-old Lingyi. The upper body seemed to be unaffected, and the legs seemed to have shrunk. Only the calves, ankles and feet could be seen.

Rather than weird, Lingyi would rather use the word strange to describe the person in front of him. Is it really possible for someone to grow into a figure like that?

"You three were recommended by Lord Xue Zun?" the man said.

"Yes, sir." The woman said, stepping aside to let the three children come to the front, pointing at Leo and introducing him, "Sir, this is our oldest child, Leo."

"Leo? His last name is Lei... Could he be from Amitrak?" The envoy said while rubbing his beard.

When Leo heard the other party talking about his identity, he began to feel a little disgusted and said righteously: "Yes, what?"

"Hmm? What can we do?" The envoy asked in confusion. "It just so happens that the situation in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia is not peaceful. It would be good for our country if we could train two or three children to go there and stabilize the society."
