Otto's daily life

Chapter 35 Investigation

Suddenly Yanai's heart beat violently. She covered her chest blankly, feeling dazed.

Could it be, Yanai frowned seriously, that she still needs to get the rabies vaccine?

It's impossible. I will never get an injection in my entire life. How could people on Earth invent such a thing?

Fortunately, this feeling disappeared immediately, as if it was her illusion. Yanai couldn't figure out why, so she just put it behind her.

Yanai returned to the space excitedly and immediately went back to the miracle tree to measure its "height".

The height didn’t grow, but the body became taller.

Miracle Tree: ...

The leaves have obviously become bigger, and small buds have grown on the branches. So, can killing monsters really help it grow? Yanai is still a little confused. What is the standard for its growth? Is it monsters, or people?

Yanai showed a trace of fatigue as she stopped thinking. Her energy was not only needed to sustain herself, but also to provide some energy to this miracle tree.

Yanai simply wanted to know if her energy had any effect. After many experiments, she concluded that it did have an effect but not much. It seemed that her energy was missing a certain part, so the effect was minimal.

Since it was useless, she would take back most of her energy next.

A week later, Yanai finally recovered all of her energy. It was easy to give it out but difficult to take it back. The Miracle Tree refused to give up her energy, and after finally getting it back, she had no time to heal.

But right now she has important things to do.

The cause of the incident was this. TPC was recently carrying out a project, so Lina was invited to test a new power source, the Magnus power system. However, this invention is not yet mature, and it caused Lina to have "hallucinations" while driving. Tetsuji Yoshioka, the bearded old man, did not allow Lina to stop the experiment. In the end, their director discussed with him and approved Lina to have a few days of rest for the safety of the testers.

So that day, Lina asked her out, intending to take this opportunity to relax and buy some clothes for the girl.

"I must have seen it right. It was definitely not because I was tired and dizzy." Lina and Yanai each had a cup of milk tea and sat on the small chairs in the park.

Yanai drank the milk tea contentedly, her thoughts wandering. Yes, she had the light she gave, and hallucinations would not appear for no reason.

The crystal she gave as a gift was an addition to her bracelet. It contained her light, which normally nourished her tired body unconsciously and kept her in the best condition.

She didn't tell Lina about this, and just let her wear it as a talisman.

"Then let's go investigate." Yanai drank the milk tea in his hand unknowingly, squinted his eyes and threw it towards the trash can not far away.

The milk tea drew a beautiful parabola in the air, passed over the people below, and fell into the trash can with a "clang".

"Investigate? Where should I start? I'm on vacation now. I don't have any equipment and I don't have any clues. Where can I find clues?" When she said this, Lina was a little frustrated. Although she was confident, she had no other choice.

"Leave it to me, let me take you to experience a different life." Yanai patted her chest and made the next arrangements.

Lina was pulled up by Yanai, and followed her towards a public toilet, confused.

When they went in, they were two young and energetic girls, but when they came out, they were two dark-skinned JKs with smoky makeup on their faces and Matar hairstyles.

"So, why are you dressed like this?" Lina's face flushed and she clutched her clothes which were adorned with strange metal ornaments.

It was so weird that Lina wanted to find a hole in the ground to hide in. The strange looks from people around her made her feel anxious.

Yanai looked arrogant and glared fiercely at the eyes directed at him from all around. What are you looking at? Have you never seen a beautiful woman?

"Because we are going to the black market next." Yanai lowered his voice and hung a magatama on Lina's waist. This is a breath simulator that can blur out the overly obvious human breath on Lina.

"Black market?" For some reason, Lina became even more panicked. Although she was a member of the Victory Team, she had been a good girl since she was a child. The most outrageous thing she had done was to apply for the Victory Team without telling her father after she became an adult.

So the so-called black market all came from books or other people's gossip. She was really panicked about having to go to the black market herself.

Yanai comforted him, "It's okay, I'm here, leave it to me when the time comes, and you just need to listen with a blank expression on your face."

"Besides, we are guaranteed to have no aliens who can recognize us in this state."

"Aliens?" Lina widened her eyes, so this black market couldn't be?

"That's right, it's the cosmic black market. Today, I'll take you to see the market." Yanai began to let herself go, pointing at herself arrogantly.

For a moment, Lina didn't know whether she should be surprised by the cosmic black market or the unknown aliens that existed on Earth.

Yanai took Lina to the wild. When passing by the little girl, he stretched out his finger and "popped" her red balloon, causing the little girl to cry.

"Wow ah ah ah ah!"

Yanai was halfway through making faces when Lina came over from behind and pulled her away. Lina was very embarrassed and bought a new balloon for the little girl. After coaxing the little girl, Lina finally stopped being shy. She rolled her eyes at Yanai and said, "You."

Yanai shook his head and pretended not to hear. Now I am a bad dark alien.

The two of them walked into the wild, Yanai pulled Lina over, the bracelet on her wrist flashed, and when they appeared again, they were in a dark and narrow alley.

Lina stuck her head out and looked, and it seemed as if she had come to a different dimension. The sky above her head was covered by something unknown, and it was gloomy and dark. The red lanterns dyed the time into bloody eyes. The streets were filled with people in strange costumes and the order was chaotic.

After taking a look, Lina retracted her head, "Is this the black market?"

Yanai smoothed his ahoge, pressed her back into his colorfully dyed hair, and warned her, "Now we are the Endless Star People from the Orion constellation."

She just took these randomly and threw them away after using them.

Yanai introduced to Lina those humanoid creatures that were obviously not human at first glance, "That's the Empire Starman, that's the lobster, that's the Baltan Starman, that's the Gats Starman..."

The last time she went was to the black market in the surface world. Some of the cosmic people there were the kind who had the desire to steal but not the courage to do so. She was going to do business and there was no need to come here.

This time, they came to find out deeper information, so they came here.

After giving Lina a preliminary warning, Yanai wiped the corner of his mouth and walked out arrogantly. As soon as he left the alley, he kicked over the stall next door.

"What are you looking at? Rubbish." After glaring at the stall owner, Yanai walked forward on his own.
