Miss Star, spoiled by her father and brother

Chapter 15 Instigating Rebellion

Marry came out of the hospital after having her plaster cast applied and was about to take a taxi home.

Her arm was broken and she couldn't drive for at least a month.

Waden's temper has been getting worse over the past two days. He has seen the scandal escalate online and turn from a video into a criminal case, but he can only watch the situation develop without doing anything.

As Walden's secretary, Marry naturally bore the brunt of his anger.

Waden, wearing leather shoes, kicked her in the abdomen.

Marry had been kicked like this before, and the heart-wrenching pain was still fresh in her memory. She curled up on the ground for a long time to recover. She went to the hospital for a check-up and was found to have organ damage.

So this time she subconsciously put her hand in front of her stomach, and ended up getting her forearm broken. But she should be able to live a peaceful life for the next two days, because Varden couldn't take care of her for the time being.

The night before, the inspection team descended on Waden's home and took him away for questioning. Waden refused to cooperate and was eventually forcibly escorted out. In front of so many servants and neighbors in the villa, Waden was humiliated.

Marry was standing at the intersection waiting for a bus when she heard footsteps behind her.

"Would it be convenient for you to chat for a moment, Miss Marry?"

Marry turned around and found it was Sifos. She said in a cold tone, "I probably have nothing to talk about with you, General Sifos."

"That's not necessarily true. You are so smart, you should know why I came to see you."

"General Seaforth is a little too naive." Marry said sarcastically. "So what if you know? Why do you think I would help my enemies?"

"Please leave. My boss will be unhappy if he sees you."

"It's true that Varden is my enemy, but I think he can also be our enemy." Sifos looked at Marry's plastered hand in front of him.

Marry moved awkwardly, but couldn't hide her hand because of the plaster.

"As the saying goes, 'A wise bird chooses the right tree to roost in.' Varden is not a good master. I believe you know this better than I do. There is no better time than now to escape from his control."

"Are you sure you don't want to cooperate with me?"

Marry looked hesitant.

Sivers added the final fuel: "You don't have to worry about drug addiction. I can pay for you to undergo 'caffeine withdrawal', and there will be no trace left in your file."

Mary's eyes widened.

"Would you like to chat now?"

Marry: "..."

At night, Marry sat at her desk, thinking back to her conversation with Sifos during the day. She didn't know how Sifos had found out so much about her drug addiction.

Could it be that……?

Marry reviewed the people around her and Waden from the beginning. These people were all old people who had been with Waden for at least three years, and she was very careful and never lost her temper in front of them.

Besides Varden and his bodyguard, who else would be, wait, bodyguard?!

Waden couldn't have told Sifos, and she knew he hadn't told him either, so it could only be that one of Sifos's people was among the bodyguards around Waden!

They watched as Waden beat her and injected her with drugs, and they were even accomplices.

But those bodyguards were said to be personally selected by Waden's father, and they had been with Waden longer than she had. If that was true, then Sifos was simply too terrifying...

The more Marry thought about it, the more frightened she became.

Then he smiled helplessly. He dared to reveal such a trump card to her because he was sure that she would not refuse.

If I had not chosen to join the political department where the father and son of Waden were, but instead went to the military, would the current situation be completely different?

She graduated with honors from the best university in the Imperial Star, and it just so happened that both the Political Department and the Military Department were recruiting people with her major.

Among them, the military department included the Fourth Legion commanded by Siphos.

Marry could only choose to apply for one position and she chose the Political Department. Unexpectedly, this was the beginning of her journey into the abyss.

From the first time Waden saw Marry, he was attracted to this pretty young employee. After discovering that she was also very capable at work, he became even more satisfied and transferred her to his side.

Before Marry had time to be happy about the promotion, she was slapped hard in the face by reality.

She refused at first, but Waden forced her and injected her with drugs. From then on, she fell deeper and deeper into this quagmire.

Later, Waden got tired of playing with her and stopped having sex with her. He treated her completely as a subordinate, a punching bag, or a dog.

After becoming Waden's minion, she also helped to harm many innocent girls. At first she felt sorry for them, but later she became numb. She couldn't even protect herself, so who would save her?

Because of her drug addiction, she hasn't saved a penny in these years. Although she looks glamorous on the outside, she is just struggling to survive.

Seeing Sifos today, the repressed regret in her heart could no longer make her deceive herself.

One step wrong, step by step wrong.

Fortunately, there is now a glimmer of hope.

Marry clenched her palms tightly, her nails digging into her flesh. She finally let out a breath as if she had made up her mind, and used her remaining good hand to type on the computer.

She would accept it even if she would die after failure. There was no point in living like this anyway. Between a shabby life and a bright and beautiful future, she knew what to choose.

On the other side, in a villa in the city, the sparse-haired, hunchbacked old Doug was trying to smooth things over for his son. The housekeeper was waiting beside him with a cup of coffee.

Old Doug indulged in sensual pleasures when he was young. He was in a high position and was cautious, so he did not leave any blood with his mistresses. Perhaps it was retribution, because when he wanted to have a child later, he couldn't conceive.

Waden is the only son born to his wife, but fortunately, this son is relatively worry-free.

In his opinion, playing with women is not worth mentioning. What normal man doesn't like beauty? As long as you know how to make progress, that's enough.

With his support and Waden's own scheming, he became the chief of the Financial Section of the Political Department. The current minister will step down in two years. By then, the deputy chief will be promoted to a full-time position, and Waden will be the deputy chief. It will only take a few days for him to become the minister of the Political Department.

But Sifos chose to go against him. Damn Sifos family, the old ones are hard to deal with, the young ones are also insidious and cunning, and there are those three red-haired kids...

Since he had few children, when old Doug thought of his rival's three descendants, he wished he could skin those three kids in front of them.

He was the one who pushed Sifos to lead the troops this time. He wanted to take this opportunity to get rid of those three annoying little guys, including the unborn baby in the woman's belly, without leaving a single one alive.

Old Doug had a good idea. After hearing the news that his whole family had died, Sifos would be in a state of panic. The best outcome would be for him to die on the battlefield and never come back. Even if he was lucky enough to come back, he would definitely lose his mind and do something extreme.

Then I can take advantage of the situation and crush him into the mud step by step.

But he didn't expect that Sifos had been prepared. Now not only did he fail to achieve his goal, but Waden also lost his life.

"...I haven't received any message yet. I'm really sorry. Why don't you ask someone else..."

Hearing the busy tone on the other end of the phone, Old Doug angrily slapped the mahogany table. When he was in office, all these people were eager to do things for him, but now that he has retired, they are changing their attitudes and making excuses when asking for information.

"Master, have a drink of water." The butler put the coffee next to old Doug.

"Don't worry too much. It's just a rumor. No matter how strong the rumor is, without substantial evidence, the inspection team will have to let him go. The young master will be released in two days."

Old Doug pinched his nose irritably: "I'm afraid they have already obtained the evidence, but are just holding back for the time being..."
