Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy

Chapter 99 Did I call him Harry?

Thanks to Fred and George's connections and strong support, the course on the care of magical creatures seems to have become the latest battlefield in the century-old feud between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

After changing hands several times, the most widely circulated story was that Draco deliberately caused Buckbeak to go berserk because of the Slytherin students' dissatisfaction with Hagrid.

Harry bravely endured the harm in order to prevent Hagrid from being unreasonably harassed by the Malfoys.

Coincidentally, Draco asked his father to report the incidents of magical animals getting out of control and attacking wizards to the Ministry of Magic for investigation.

This further confirms the authenticity of the story.

Draco's already lofty status in Slytherin became even more unmatched.

She didn't particularly care what punishment Buckbeak would receive.

I simply felt that the sudden attack of magical creatures on wizards needed to be investigated.

This is of course a subtle prejudice that comes from growing up in an environment where wizards are supreme.

But even though the story was widely circulated, there were still a very small number of people on campus who believed that Harry and Draco must have some hidden relationship.

Draco was of course aware of these gazes, and therefore deliberately kept his distance from Harry.

Harry couldn't help feeling a little confused.

I had been looking forward to talking to Draco during the combined Potions class of the two houses.

At least, I wanted to discuss Buckbeak's matter with her to see if there was any room for maneuver.

But Draco just cuddled up with Pansy and Daphne.

After school, he was unusually immersed in Quidditch practice.

This made it even more inconvenient for Harry to talk to Draco.

Because of Sirius Black, the teachers at school strictly monitored him to see if he wandered around.

Even Hagrid would get mad at himself for visiting the hut at night.

-

After the chaos of the first few days of school, Draco's school life seemed to return to normal.

Although after the Hagrid incident, Slytherin students would occasionally report to her, hoping that she could protest to the school against Lupin's overly practical teaching style.

"Does this lady look like she would care about such a thing?"

When faced with such requests, he always responds with a slightly lazy tone.

Lupin's performance on the Hogwarts Express had already won Draco's recognition.

If I really have to say anything, it's probably that the outfit is so shabby.

It's not decent for a professor to dress like this.

But even so, it is much better than the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor of the past two years.

The sunset appears earlier and earlier, and the first snow replaces the green shade of the campus with white gauze.

Halloween was coming soon, and the third-year students were getting excited about their first trip to Hogsmeade. But Draco had other expectations.

After the Potions class the previous week, I received a message from Severus.

I hope to take advantage of the time when most middle and high school students are out traveling to talk to me.

For some reason this semester, Severus has been in a gloomy mood.

Perhaps this was an opportunity to talk to him, and at the same time, he guessed that he wanted to talk to him about protecting the Dharma.

-

After watching Pansy and Daphne leave, he quickly walked towards the cellar.

This was the first time in nearly half a year that he had stepped into Severus' office alone.

What was different from before was that a cauldron in the cellar was simmering a smoking potion.

"Professor Snape?"

Although Severus repeatedly told Draco during the summer vacation that they could call each other by their first names when they were alone like they did at home, Draco was still a little hesitant on campus.

"Draco, please sit down."

His face looked a little tired and even a little resentful.

The girl's intuition told her that perhaps Severus' unhappiness since the start of the school year was related to the potion in the crucible.

“That’s…?”

"Hmph." As expected.

"I can't say much now, but you'll find out soon enough."

Draco nodded and sat down.

Snape was silent for a moment, then finally made up his mind and spoke slowly.

"I feel that our great principal has made a very unclear decision."

"It may cause a loophole in everyone's safety, so..."

"You want me to learn the Dharma Protector well?"

Snape smiled with satisfaction.

"You're very clever, Draco. That Potter boy is much worse."

For some reason, whenever Severus praised himself, he always belittled Harry.

"He wasn't too close to you?"

Draco was a little overwhelmed by the sudden concern he had been avoiding for more than a month.

"No...no."

"I heard about that idiotic giant."

"It is right to ask Lucius to handle it."

Then he stood up and drew his wand.

"Have you chosen your memory yet?"

Draco felt a little uneasy.

She wasn't sure what kind of memory...

-

Walk out of the cellar with frustration.

Despite Snape's constant words of comfort, her guardian angel could not form.

He wanted to continue practicing, but Snape stopped himself.

Whom he must visit with the potion in the cauldron.

I walked into the library with a bit of depression and looked for books on the Patronus Charm. I took a few books and went to the corner that I and Harry occupied last semester, and quickly forgot about time.

"Hey!"

I looked up and heard another invisible call.

I wonder who it is.

"Potter? Didn't you go to Hogsmeade either?" responded calmly.

“My aunt and uncle did not sign the consent form.”

Harry took off his invisibility cloak, pulled open the chair next to him, and sat down, feeling a little lonely.

I realized I haven't talked to him in a long time.

"You don't want to talk to me?"

The green eyes stared at him intently.

Draco lowered his head, avoiding Harry's gaze.

Feeling that he was still looking at her, she spoke in a low voice.

"I don't like those rumors."

"I'm sorry... I was just..."

"It's not your fault, it's those boring people."

"What if I were to talk to you wearing an invisibility cloak?" Harry smiled.

"Idiot. Do you want everyone to think that I'm crazy?"

Harry felt relieved when he saw Draco laughing.

But then it was Draco's turn to notice the depression in Harry's brows.

"What's wrong? It seems that you are a little unhappy too."

"It's all about Sirius Black."

"You know something about this, don't you?"

“Why did he come to me, why didn’t the professors want me to go out?”

Looking at Harry, Draco's mind quickly sorted out his thoughts.

She really wasn't sure if she should be the one telling Harry.

"You have to promise me that you won't try to catch him by yourself."

"What does it mean?"

"I know it's hard. But you have to promise me."

"Okay, I promise you."

Seduce by curiosity, Harry answered eagerly.

"That's not it. You have to seriously promise me."

"Don't joke with your life, don't think about revenge."

"Draco, if even you find this difficult, I don't think I can agree to this."

"At least, not until we know what's going on."

Seeing Draco fall silent, Harry couldn't help but let his inner voice slip out.

After all, who knew if she would continue to avoid him.

"I don't want to lie to you."

The feelings that I mustered up the courage to convey seemed to have touched something.

Draco just stared quietly, with a complicated look in his eyes.

"I understand." After a long moment, Draco whispered to Harry.

After hesitating for a moment, he placed his hand tremblingly on the back of Harry's hand.

"Thank you."

"Harry."

He put away the book, stood up and left.

Harry noticed that Draco's face was once again flushed.

This was the first time she called Harry's name.
