Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy

There was another light knock at the store door.

A thin boy with curly black hair and round-framed glasses walked in.

Madam Malkin stuck her head out, glanced at the boy, then hid back in the closet, speaking in a loud voice.

"You want to buy Hogwarts uniforms too? Don't worry, we have plenty here."

"But please wait a moment! I...I will help this lady try on clothes first!"

The busy Madam Malkin almost revealed her client's origin.

It was not until Draco glared at her sideways that he abruptly changed the address.

The boy who walked into the store was completely unaware.

He nodded stupidly and stood there, not moving, but looking at himself with curiosity.

The moment their eyes met, Draco unconsciously noticed that the boy's emerald green eyes were clear.

The two looked at each other for a moment without saying a word.

The huge store became even quieter as the two of them were alone in silence.

"Um...are you going to Hogwarts too?"

"Yes. Are you... coming alone too?"

Listening to the boy's question, Draco slowly noticed her clothes.

The overly loose top and thick trousers with rolled-up cuffs make him look very sloppy.

"Dad has some business at Gringotts, and Mom is next door helping with textbooks."

Draco said, trying to think of what topic he could talk to the boy about. Suddenly, an idea came to him, and he asked quietly.

"Have you ever played Quidditch? Lots of boys are interested in that new broom."

"No. Kui…what is that?"

Unexpectedly, the boy's reply aroused Draco's curiosity even more.

Could it be—?

Decided to test the waters a little further.

"So...what house do you want to be assigned to?"

"I do not know."

The boy shrugged and scratched the back of his head, apparently trying hard to find a topic to talk about.

"Hey! Do you know anyone from Hogwarts? That's Hagrid. He works at Hogwarts as the gamekeeper."

The boy suddenly spoke excitedly, and the light in the store suddenly dimmed. The glass window at the door of the store was blocked by a huge figure.

Draco finally frowned deeply.

"I've heard of him. Why did he come with you? Where are your parents?"

A gloomy look flashed across the boy's face as he avoided the question.

"They all passed away."

"Oh... I'm so sorry..."

Listening to the boy's reply, Draco felt empty inside and didn't know how to respond, so he could only apologize softly.

The two looked at each other in silence again, occasionally stealing glances at each other.

I usually think that this is an ability that I can handle with ease.

But for some reason, conversation always seemed to be stuck in front of the boy.

"They are both witches and wizards. But, that's all I know."

The boy said and Draco could only nod.

I felt relieved and tried to express my inner guess just now, trying to change the subject.

"I thought you didn't come from a wizarding family."

"I sometimes wonder why wizards hide from Muggles."

"Why, even though the Muggles are oppressing us, our schools still accept children from Muggle families?"

Draco spoke softly, but was a little nervous to find that the boy had no interest in such a topic.

"Found it! Found it! Honey! Could you please come over here?"

"This is a blend of silk and fine wool!"

"I would never use this to make you a robe—"

Madam Malkin called out, and Draco stepped quietly off the footstool.

The boy looked outside the door and seemed to decide to follow the man named Hagrid outside for the time being and come back later.

"So, let's meet at Hogwarts? Although I don't know your name..."

The boy said to himself as he stepped out of the door.

"My name is—"

Draco opened his mouth and was about to introduce himself, but for some reason, he felt a little embarrassed by the boy's sincere gaze.

The door opened slightly and the boy was about to step out of the store.

"Really? I think he's nice, smart, and reliable."

The words were mixed with the sound of the shop door slamming, conveying sudden anger.

The sudden surprise made Draco stand there in confusion.

After a long time, he whispered softly in a complicated mood.

"See you at Hogwarts. Strange and rude guy."
