Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy
Chapter 257: “It” Did Not Let Go of Suspicion
Once again, he hid in the corner and watched Harry walk out of the cellar with a mixed look of dejection and anger.
Even though it's a deserted corner, I won't allow the slightest bit of reluctance to leave to show in my heart.
But he didn't realize that he had already unconsciously frowned and was biting his lower lip between his teeth.
After confirming that Harry had left, he gently knocked on the cellar door.
I understood it from Snape's worried expression.
Her thin but still pretty face betrayed her belief that her heart was as calm as a still pool of water.
"I'm fine. Just a little upset, that's all."
He smiled faintly at Snape and stepped into the office.
The lessons with Snape had taken a more advanced course than before.
The content of the course is simply the application of silent spells, brain occupation and mind reading in duels.
The monotonous and repetitive practice brought Draco a heavier burden than preparing for the elementary wizard test.
Her proud personality also made her always blame herself when she encountered setbacks in practice.
"Don't worry, Draco."
"These three spells, plus the duel, each requires extreme concentration,"
"Even for an average adult wizard, being able to specialize in one is already a great achievement."
"Not to mention being proficient in all four at the same time."
"But I can't be just any wizard, and you wouldn't want me to be."
Snape's warm words of comfort had almost become the norm, as had Draco's response after wiping off his cold sweat.
"The only things you really need to focus on are the Silent Spells and Legilimency."
I gradually realized the true meaning of Severus' first words after the class resumed.
Occlumency had become a habit, and after Christmas it had become a means of maintaining a semblance of life.
The concentration required for a duel will become much easier after successfully using Legilimency to read the opponent's state of mind.
The most difficult thing is always the practice of silent spells.
I can't help but wonder, to what extent,
Only then can you cast spells accurately like Grindelwald without a wand.
Duel practice sessions often lasted an hour.
After this, Severus would always sit alone in front of the fire,
Rethinking the lessons taught by Dumbledore.
He even moved the Pensieve from the cabinet to the stone platform on the side wall.
When necessary, allow yourself to revisit your memories of last semester's classes.
Trying to master the magical principles of love and power at the same time is no easier than actually casting a spell.
I vaguely felt that Dumbledore's course seemed to be missing something important.
He was just reminding himself of the powerful influence of love on magic.
But there is no mention of how black magic can be integrated into this.
Perhaps, as I once wondered,
The missing piece of understanding requires another lesson with Grindelwald.
Or, as Professor Dumbledore put it, to find another wizard who was proficient in both the Dark Arts and love.
I once asked Snape about this, but he just closed his eyes and spoke with disgust.
"I agree with you."
"But Dumbledore evidently thinks that we should not worry about this matter until the time is right."
-
Today's class is the same as always.
In the duel class with Severus, Draco successfully used a silent spell to deal with him.
But he still couldn't use Legilimency to see through Severus' next thought.
After practicing in recent classes, I slowly began to guess,
This man who always treated me like a loving father, yet was always unfathomable,
Perhaps it was a wizard far more powerful than he could imagine.
After this class, Snape rarely stood with him by the fire.
The tone revealed a rare hint of uncertainty.
"Your plan went well. Voldemort values you very much."
This was the first time Snape mentioned Voldemort to him after he "pledged allegiance" to Voldemort.
"Didn't he get all mad about that visit?"
After asking tentatively, Severus just shook his head quietly.
"Voldemort always believed that Potter was just hiding helplessly under Dumbledore's protection."
"The sudden and unexpected counterattack actually aroused his interest."
"Besides, this visit has only made Voldemort more eager to obtain the weapon."
“He didn’t think too much about it, but he did sort out some doubts.”
The damn bitch said this and gave Draco a meaningful look.
"Little Barty informed Voldemort about your dance with the Potters."
"Voldemort has not completely resolved his doubts, which is why he is so determined to coerce you into joining."
A gloomy look appeared on Draco's fair face.
As Voldemort's cruel thoughts emerged in his memory, he felt uneasy.
"As a hostage to threaten you and your father?"
"Partly. Although the main reason is that he is interested in your qualifications."
Snape said, standing up.
"Don't worry. At least—"
"This interview revealed Lucius's identity, and Voldemort seemed to have put his doubts to rest."
Snape's tone was calm, and his unhurried pace stabilized his worried mood.
"Have I disappointed you...?"
Somehow, the anxiety buried deep in my heart suddenly came out.
"You and mom have arranged so much, and you've been hinting that I have a choice."
“But I took this path anyway.”
The hesitation resumed the movement, the slowness intensified into warmth.
Snape sighed softly and spoke slowly.
"It was your choice, and you chose to protect us and Potter..."
"We will not be disappointed in you, either in the past or in the future."
Draco looked up and caught a glimpse of emotion in those dark eyes.
Full of reluctance, unwillingness and pain.
Before I could ask more questions, there was a rapid knock on the cellar door.
And a woman's high-pitched scream.
-
"Severus! Quick! Quick! We got them!"
Snape quickly pressed his hands and curled himself up deep in the chair with his back facing the door.
As he opened the door, he asked slowly and coldly.
"Professor Umbridge?"
The shrill sound of ecstasy amplified Umbridge's already disturbing voice.
Before Snape could ask in detail, Umbridge had already started to answer rapidly.
"We're about to catch Potter! They're in a room on the seventh floor!"
"Notify Draco! I can't find her!"
"Tell her to quickly organize a picket group and not let anyone off the hook!"
Then she left like a whirlwind, fearing that a moment's delay would make her miss the greatest victory of her life.
Shortly after Umbridge left, Draco stood up from the armchair and looked at Severus silently.
Clearly feeling Severus's consciousness reaching into his mind,
But I also found that I understood his idea in a flash.
Cracked "Dumbledore's Army"
Perhaps this is an opportunity to further win over Fudge and exclude Umbridge.
It seemed that it was Severus who chose to allow himself limited mind reading.
"You know what to do, just go ahead."
Draco nodded.
Please give paid gifts and free gifts (you can give three for love). The plan for more updates remains the same.
