Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy

Chapter 200 Dumbledore believes that love is the greatest magic in the world

(This title will be used again later)

Lucius walked towards Draco without saying a word and held his beloved daughter tightly in his left hand.

He held Snape's right hand sincerely, with gratitude in his excited eyes.

Snape returned Lucius's hand with a rare display of emotion.

Both knew that this night was not far from death.

Fortunately, the Dark Lord's character was really as the two had thought beforehand.

"Where's mom?"

Draco buried his face in his father's chest, full of reluctance, and asked worriedly.

"She is not a Death Eater. She is resting in her room."

"I'm sorry to involve you in this. But this is the way to keep you safe."

Lucius took two steps back, withdrew his hands, and gently held the sides of his daughter's hair.

Draco shook his head slightly. His parents never had to apologize to him.

"You've grown up, Draco."

Lucius looked at Draco reluctantly. It seemed that his daughter had grown up a lot overnight.

He sighed and spoke softly.

"Your mother, she discussed it with Severus and did something."

"Although I know you will understand, she is not feeling well either."

As Lucius explained, Draco felt a little moved.

In addition to asking Severus to take him to see Dobby,

Does Mom have any other plans with Severus?

Turning to look at Severus, his dark eyes told him that we could talk about it later.

"I should take her back to school, Lucius."

Severus spoke softly and Lucius nodded.

"After the holiday, spend more time with your mother, okay?"

“Maybe I will be at home less and less often.”

When Lucius saw his daughter's worried expression, his heart ached, but he still had a smile on his face.

He stepped forward, gently kissed both sides of his daughter's cheeks, and spoke softly.

"Don't worry. My responsibility is to continue to win over the Ministry of Magic."

"There won't be any danger."

Then, he watched Draco and Severus disappear.

-

"You have many doubts."

Snape spoke in a low voice as they walked back to the castle.

Tonight's experience seemed to be concretized, forcing the two of them to walk very slowly.

Draco had a vague feeling that Severus' thoughts were becoming more hidden than usual tonight.

I have so many things on my mind, but I don't know how to start.

The last question I can ask is perhaps the one that has the least to do with me compared to other troubles.

"The Dark Lord doesn't trust little Barty?"

"It's not so much that he doesn't trust Little Barty, it's that—"

"He doesn't believe that you and Lucius would be able to fight him."

"The Dark Lord is very conceited. Only because of this, we have a chance to survive tonight."

Snape explained slowly.

After listening to this, Draco could only nod.

Before I could think about it, the next question came out of my mouth.

"The guardian of the deer—"

"I asked him to find you."

"Lucius must have informed Narcissa as soon as he discovered the Dark Lord's return."

"Narcissa also informed me when he responded to the Dark Lord's call,"

"She has to start destroying evidence that could compromise you."

"I was the one who asked her to give you some time. At least, until you understand why."

"The Dark Lord can't see through my Occlumency?"

"He wasn't concentrating fully."

"Like I said, the Dark Lord does not find you worthy of fear."

"But Professor Dumbledore can, he doesn't seem to be fully focused either."

"Professor Dumbledore said that it takes some life experience to completely seal off one's heart."

Snape fell silent, letting Draco talk.

It seemed that by talking, she could express her feelings for the whole night.

Dark eyes looked at Draco with mixed emotions.

Draco continued to ask questions, but Snape only answered incoherently.

When Snape fell silent, Draco would always talk to himself and express his thoughts.

She didn't stop talking even for a moment as she made her way to the castle gates.

As they walked up the steps, Draco asked his last question of the night.

"Dad said you and Mom have other plans?"

Snape took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

He naturally noticed that none of Draco's questions and remarks along the way mentioned Harry at all.

"Draco."

Deeply calling out to the girl who was like a beloved daughter, I was overwhelmed with mixed emotions.

But seeing that her eyes were expressionless due to excessive fatigue, he could only warn her gently.

"Dumbledore believed that love was the greatest magic in the world."

It was not until he walked back to the lounge that he whispered in an extremely soft voice.

"We don't want you to give up."

"If that day ever comes, remember, you always have a choice."
