Chapter 422: Meeting Dumbledore Again
The world became blurry and Ron and Hermione's screams filled my ears.
Goyle and Crabbe looked at the embarrassed Harry sarcastically, and burst into laughter.
Hermione raised her wand first, and a flame burst out from her wand.
Harry felt for his weapon on the broken ground and launched a counterattack without hesitation.
Another spell struck Goyle.
"Draco, can you aim better?" Blaise squatted down to avoid the attack of his teammates.
Draco rolled his eyes at him and ran towards the Death Eaters in the other direction.
"Oliver Wood, support is needed on the third floor!" Percy shouted at the tall wizard on the stairs.
Wood protected Seamus and Colin with one hand while moving towards Percy.
"Where are Noah and Dennis?"
Seamus panted and said intermittently: "They... are on the other side... they should be back soon."
"Don't worry, Noah is here." Theodore helped them deal with an approaching Death Eater. "That guy is very smart."
The air was filled with screams of terror, from both Death Eaters and Hogwarts professors. Red and green lights intertwined across the campus.
The strange rain of knives from the sky and unknown weapons killed some of the Death Eaters. Voldemort paced in the Forbidden Forest, and this kind of battle made him irritated.
It was as if Merlin was on the side of the savior.
"Call Snape!"
"Master..." A Death Eater in a black cloak stepped out tremblingly: "Snape...Snape is gone..."
There was a flash of green light, and the black figure fell to the ground.
The castle was empty, most of the staff and students had gone to the square to fight the Death Eaters. Ron and Hermione had separated from him, and Harry was walking alone.
He must die.
Just like those Horcruxes that were destroyed.
Harry put the fang that Ron had taken in his pocket, put on the Invisibility Cloak and walked through the fighting crowd.
That inexplicable familiar feeling came back. It was as if Dumbledore was watching him in some small corner, watching him make this choice.
Waves of chill passed through his skin, and the knives falling from the sky all avoided him as if they had consciousness.
Harry looked at the knife that suddenly appeared, and thought of that smiling face, and couldn't help laughing.
Hogwarts was his home, where he and other abandoned boys like Voldemort found a home…
Harry took out the Golden Snitch that Dumbledore had left him and gently pressed his lips against it.
A black stone fell into his palm. There were some noises around him and two shadowy figures appeared in the silent woods.
James was the same height as Harry, and he was looking at his son with a smile, while Lily put her long hair behind her head and looked at him tenderly.
Harry did not see Dumbledore here, and his heart skipped a beat.
"You are very brave," said James.
"We'll always be with you," Lily said softly.
Harry wrapped his Invisibility Cloak tightly around him and walked step by step into the depths of the Forbidden Forest with his parents.
"Death is not scary at all, Harry." James seemed to touch his forehead, like a breeze blowing.
Harry stopped a few steps in front of an ancient tree, and James and Lily also stopped.
"Is someone coming?" a hoarse voice sounded.
"It's almost time, Harry won't come." Rodolphus turned his head and looked at the tree where Harry was hiding.
"Let's go back."
Harry followed the Death Eater and Rodolphus, while James and Lily looked at him with smiles.
After walking for a few minutes, Harry saw a bonfire and a pair of familiar eyes.
"I thought he would come." Voldemort said in a deep voice, "It seems I was wrong."
"You're not wrong!" Harry shouted, pulling back the Invisibility Cloak.
A black stone slipped from his hand.
"Harry Potter." Voldemort walked in slowly. "The Boy-Who-Lived."
Harry didn't move, the Death Eaters didn't move, they all waited.
Hagrid, who was tied to the side, was panting rapidly, and his blocked mouth could only make whimpering sounds.
Harry looked at him coldly without taking out his wand. Voldemort had raised his wand, and his head tilted to one side, with a flash of green light.
Everything is gone.
White mist flashed before his eyes, and Harry seemed to hear someone talking in his ear.
"…I really owe her…"
she?
Who is she?
Harry was lying on the ground, with no one around him. Didn't he know he was still in the Forbidden Forest?
Or in other words, is he still alive?
He tried to sit up, but all he could see was white.
Then he saw a red-skinned baby dumped in the distance.
Part of Harry wanted to help it, but he didn't move.
"Harry."
In the distance, an old man in a dark blue robe was walking towards him.
"Professor Dumbledore..."
Dumbledore opened his arms to him. "You are a brave man."
Harry looked at him dizzily, and suddenly two chairs appeared on the empty ground. They were the most common sofa chairs in Dumbledore's office.
They sat in the chairs and Harry looked into the same blue eyes as he remembered. "Am I dead?"
Dumbledore laughed. "I do not think so."
"But you're dead."
"Maybe."
They stared at each other, Dumbledore still smiling at him.
"This is a nice place." Dumbledore said suddenly, "Where do you think this is?"
Harry shook his head.
"Harry, a person can never lose his heart." Dumbledore's slender fingers touched his chest through his clothes, "And his love."
"So, I'm not dead?"
"No."
"then you……"
Dumbledore stood up and looked at him with a smile, just as he had when they first met: "Your heart is the answer."
"Go back, Harry," said Dumbledore. "Go back as your true self."
The smell of the forbidden forest filled his nostrils and he felt the hard earth beneath his body.
The battle at Hogwarts was drawing to a close, and Fred and George were helping Madam Pomfrey carry the wounded.
"Why do I feel like these spells are like eyes. Any Unforgivable Curse will be missed?" said a student whose arm was bandaged like a dumpling and another student whose arm was in a cast.
"Don't tell me, I think today is my luckiest day."
Slughorn heard their conversation and smiled as he looked at the girl fighting the Death Eaters down the corridor.
"Lucky enough, kids," he said to the injured students with a smile.
Blue light shot out from behind a half wall, and the Death Eater in front of Avro fell to the ground on his back.
"He has returned," Grindelwald said, leaning against the ruined pillar.
Afro wiped his wand on his robes and turned to look at him, "How are you going to make your debut?"
Grindelwald stroked his chin and said with a grin, "Can you add some music? I like Celine Dion's music now."
Afro rolled his eyes at him and walked around him in disgust: "No."
