Chapter 307 The Annoying Pink Toad

Professor Binns' History of Magic was still boring and made people sleepy within ten minutes.

Aphrodite was able to pass this subject thanks to copying Hermione and Cedric's notes before the exam.

It was drizzling, and Afro found a secluded corner under a dripping balcony and listened to students gathered in groups of three or four talking about this semester's courses.

"Are you adapting to the new semester?" Theodore walked towards her around the corner.

"Professor Binns' white noise is very suitable for sleeping. It would be better if the table could be changed." Afro hugged the book in her arms and said to him with a smile.

Theodore lowered his head, curled his hands into fists, and put them to his lips and laughed.

"But the next class will be in trouble."

Afro turned and looked at him in confusion, not understanding what he meant.

"I'm afraid we'll have to stand up in Potions class."

She and Theodore hadn't seen each other for a whole holiday, and when they met, they both started talking about the interesting things that happened during the holiday.

Time passed slowly, and the ringing of the school bell interrupted the two of them. Theodore and Afro ran towards the Potions classroom together.

Sure enough, in the first Potions class, Snape took them to a spacious classroom and spoke to them in his usual cold tone.

"I think it's important to remind you that you have an important exam next June."

His eyes first fell on Neville's face, and Neville shuddered in fear, then he looked at Harry, who stared at him without showing any weakness.

"After this year, many of you will no longer be able to take my classes. Only the best students will be able to enter my NEWT Potions class."

Harry couldn't help but smile at the thought that he would no longer have to take Potions classes after his fifth year.

Afro looked at Harry's obvious uncontrollable happiness and couldn't help but feel a little gloating, wanting to get to the sixth grade as soon as possible.

She couldn't wait to know what Harry's expression was when he saw Snape in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Of course this didn't stop Snape from targeting Harry, and he paid extra attention to Harry's cauldron.

As a cloud of dark gray gas emerged from Harry's cauldron, Snape appeared in an instant and ran to his side.

Snape, with a gloomy face, confiscated Harry's cauldron and gave him a zero, leaving him with a twenty-inch long homework.

Harry's mood became even worse. During lunch, he glared at the plate in front of him angrily.

Before the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Avro warned Harry: "Harry, you'd better not say anything in Umbridge's class."

"I feel like there's something wrong with her." Afro looked around cautiously, then pointed at his head.

She couldn't say too much, or it would attract the attention of the world consciousness.

But she hoped that Harry would not have unnecessary conflicts with Umbridge so that he would not be put in detention and punished.

When they entered the classroom, Umbridge was already sitting behind the podium, still wearing the same pink dress from the day before, with a black velvet bow in her hair.

Like a fly landing on a toad, Harry thought to himself after taking a look.

The students in the classroom were silent. Umbridge ordered the students to put away their wands and open their new textbooks.

"I want you to read the first chapter, the basic principles, and please don't whisper to each other."

After saying that, she sat down on the chair behind the podium again.

Afro felt that the current Defense Against the Dark Arts class was as boring as Professor Binns's class. A few minutes passed, and Harry beside her stared absentmindedly at the same place in the book.

Ron twirled the quill on his fingers with his eyes glazed over.

Only Hermione raised her hand high.

At first, Umbridge ignored her and was reluctant to even glance at Hermione.

Five minutes later, more than half the students in the classroom were staring at Hermione, and Umbridge could no longer ignore it.

"Dear, what questions do you have about this chapter?"

"Not about this chapter, but about your lessons." Hermione put her hands down and looked at Umbridge firmly.

Umbridge smiled what she thought was an appropriate and kind smile and asked, "What's your name?"

"Hermione Granger."

"Miss Granger," Umbridge said in a voice that sounded like a girl, raising her eyebrows. "I have written it very clearly. If you will, please read it from beginning to end."
