Chapter 157: Tasks in Potions Class

"I still believe my school is safe."

Dumbledore carefully held the corner of his nightgown and looked deeply at Harry and Afro who were sleeping with their heads leaning against each other.

The footsteps became farther and farther away, and finally there was the sound of a door opening with a creak.

Several days of good weather could not dispel the panic in the hearts of the little wizards. In fact, they were more gossiping.

Recently, we can hear various discussions in the school about how Sirius got in. These speculations are getting more and more outrageous. Hannah from Hufflepuff said that Sirius would turn into a dwarf tree that can bloom.

The Fat Lady and the torn portrait were taken down from the wall, and the portrait that now guarded Gryffindor was replaced by that of Sir Cadogan and his grey horse.

The change in the portrait was not difficult for others to adapt to, except Neville. Because Sir Cadogan spent more than half of his time changing the password, which made it even more difficult for Neville to find a way to remember the password, and his little notebook was almost full.

"Is he crazy?" Seamus complained to Percy angrily. Neville had been stopped outside the door for half an hour and he hadn't given the correct password yet.

"Can't you just change someone else?"

Percy had also received many complaints from young Gryffindor wizards recently because Sir Cadogan changed the passwords at will and challenged anyone who wanted to pass, and his passwords were always ridiculous and complicated.

"No other portrait is willing to do it, so he is the one." Percy shook his head helplessly. "The Fat Lady's incident scared a lot of ghosts and portraits, so..."

There was no other way, the little lions could only accept Sir Cadogan, who liked to change his orders every day.

On Thursday afternoon, when Afro and Ron rushed to the Potions classroom with their textbooks, Snape had a sullen face and lazily raised his eyelids to glance at them.

"Sit down."

Harry frowned. If he was late, Snape would never say "Sit down" so casually.

Avro walked over to where Harry was, and Harry had already laid out the necessary utensils and materials, "What is this class?"

“Make the water of rejuvenation.”

She found the page of the textbook that Harry mentioned, and looked sideways at Flint, who was standing behind the table with a casual expression on his face, directing Neville to cut daisy roots for him.

"Why doesn't Flint do it himself?"

Harry glanced back at Flint, who was pretending to be serious, and said with disgust, "He said he was attacked by an unknown creature and couldn't move."

Afro was shocked by the ridiculous reason and opened his mouth wide. "He? Can't move?"

People would believe that he could throw a shot put with those sturdy limbs! And he can't move?

Flint grinned and let Neville, whose face turned red with anger, continue to help him peel the figs. He was sure that Neville was a coward who dared not say anything.

The little lions were disgusted by his behavior, but they didn't dare to say anything. This was Snape's class, and Flint was a Slytherin student, so they knew what the result would be.

"Professor Snape, I think some students are picking fights for no reason. They bully their classmates even though they have done nothing wrong. This is a bad behavior that damages the image of the college and the school. It must be stopped!"

Aphrodite raised her hand and spoke without waiting for Snape to respond. Her righteous speech echoed in the classroom. The young wizards all stopped what they were doing and their hidden gazes wandered back and forth between her and Snape.

Theodore's heart was suddenly pulled by her words. He was worried that Snape would scold Avro for speaking freely in class. Draco and Blaise glared at Harry who was standing next to the girl, complaining why he didn't stop her!

Harry knew that given Avro's personality, she would never sit idly by, not to mention that she and Flint had been disliking each other for a long time.

"Hey, Campbell, why are you trying to be so bold again?" The contempt in Flint's eyes seemed to be mocking Afro for overestimating his own abilities. He completely disagreed with his family's theory of neither making enemies with Campbell nor having too much contact with him.

What was a Muggle family with a few wizards? The Flints were one of the twenty-eight pure-blood nobles!

"Flint." Snape stopped them from speaking with a cold expression, and cast a dark and cold look at Avro, "What does Campbell think?"

"Professor Snape, you are a teacher. It is your responsibility to maintain normal teaching order in the classroom."

Afro didn't fall into the trap that Snape had dug for her at all, and just kicked the ball back.

Snape sneered twice, and the other students in the classroom didn't even dare to breathe, lowering their heads and pretending to do their own things. Draco wanted to stand up for Aphrodite but was stopped by Theodore.

"Wait a little longer. Professor Snape won't scold her. On the contrary..."

"In that case, Flint, you will take the next steps on your own. You will be put in solitary confinement in my office starting tonight!"

"Snape..."

"What are you looking at! Are you done?" Snape threw his robes away with a cold face and glared at Flint who wanted to speak.

Afro looked at Snape in disbelief, and received a cold stare from the old professor. She lowered her head in confusion and dripped a small drop of leech juice into the crucible.

Why was Snape so easy to talk to today? She was ready to be played with, and even wanted to use the system props to teach Flint a lesson after class.

Not only her, but several other boys were also full of doubts. Ron and Harry looked at each other and spread their hands. They didn't know what was going on.

Except for Neville, he shyly moved in small steps behind Afro, hesitated for a long time before he mustered up the courage to whisper a thank you.

Afro waved her hands indifferently. She just couldn't stand certain people!

"Ding, side quest - be a good student with excellent academic performance. Good students always have many privileges from teachers. I believe you can do it too. Get an O in Snape's class. Reward: 10,000 points, no penalty for failure."

Afro was speechless as he watched the task being done so timely as if it were an afterthought.

"2333, do you think my memory is bad, or Snape's memory is bad? I just fought him!"

"So I gave you 10,000 points. Come on, little Afu, you are only four zeros away from an Italian cannon."

"thank you."

Afro took this lesson more seriously. She cut the daisy roots into uniform sizes and peeled the figs very cleanly.

According to the textbook, she added a mouse spleen. The liquid in the crucible became more and more viscous, and turned into a strange green liquid under her stirring.

At the end of the class, Snape wanted to find a potion made by a little wizard to cover up the crime, and Afro volunteered to "offer" her own potion.

Snape called everyone over and took Neville's toad to do an experiment. He dropped a drop of potion into the toad's throat, and the green potion flowed down his throat into his stomach. There was silence all around.
