People in Hogwarts, holding scripts and systems

Chapter 128: A Day in Diagon Alley

Sirius, who was standing there in a daze, was driven out of the room by the bar owner with a rag. He was so doubtful about his life that he forgot about his business for a moment.

Sirius glanced at the Leaky Cauldron, where the window on the dusty door reflected the warm yellow light from inside. People were constantly moving around under the light, and laughter was mixed in with the noisy conversation coming through the crack in the door.

He didn't know if it was the change in temperature or the color of the light, but Sirius just felt warm inside.

This is what the wizarding world should be like, and he will not let it disappear from Harry's life.

Sirius took one last look in the direction of the Leaky Cauldron and turned away from the street. His black hair merged with the dark alley and finally disappeared into it.

Surrounded by her best friends, Afro didn't realize that she had already lost half of her mask, which resulted in her being treated as a spy in Azkaban for a period of time and being targeted by Sirius.

When 23 saw the warning he had received, his trembling little ball of light tried hard to find the words to tell Afro the news in a tactful way.

It looked at the emails received in the system mailbox and the warnings filled with red exclamation marks. A few days ago, the research center held an annual meeting and issued awards and titles for different departments and system combinations. They were lucky to receive two awards and a warm greeting from the main system.

One is the worst combination of the year, and the other is the certificate for the bottom of the performance appraisal.

The main system told it that if it and Afro failed to achieve average performance this year, they would be thrown into the punishment world and live there for a few thousand years!

The prize is a fishy-smelling salted fish pillow and an inspiring banner.

23 Looking at the happy Afuluo, I decided to let the child spend the holiday happily and tell her the bad news when school starts.

Diagon Alley is a long cobblestone street where you can find all kinds of weird and exciting shops. Usually little wizards come here to buy school supplies before school starts.

Afro and Harry had agreed to meet at the entrance of Flourish and Blotts Bookstore. She arrived a little early and Harry and the others had not arrived yet.

Noah came over holding two ice creams he bought from Florin's Ice Cream Shop and handed one of the chocolate flavors to Afro.

"Are they late?"

A cool feeling brushes across the mouth, the scent of vanilla melts on the tip of the tongue, the sweet taste spreads, and the cool breath passes through the throat to the limbs.

Afro used his other hand to hold the ice cream, and placed the cold palm against his cheek to take away the heat from his face.

"We're here early. It feels so hot today."

The end of August should be a time of pleasant and crisp autumn weather in London, but for some reason the temperature was unusually high today.

The ice cream had already started to melt before she had even taken two bites, and the sticky liquid slid down her arm and onto the ground. Afro quickly picked up a handkerchief to wipe the stains off her body.

Noah looked at the melting ice cream, quickly moved his hand over, sucked the flowing ice cream, and bumped into Afro who was trying to change hands.

The melt-in-your-mouth ice cream and the soft finger were put into his mouth together. Afro felt that the half finger was experiencing the extremes of ice and fire.

The wet tip of his tongue slid across her fingertips, leaving a trail of wetness. Noah stood there in a daze, but soon reacted, quickly letting go of her fingers and standing up straight.

He clenched his left fist and placed it on his lips, coughing twice, looking towards the end of the gravel road with an unnatural expression, "Sorry, sorry... cough..."

If you ignore his flushed cheeks and evasive eyes, his apology might still be sincere.

Afro was caught off guard by this scene and missed the opportunity to laugh at him. She couldn't eat the ice cream or throw it away.

And the feeling on her fingertips was like a branding iron, imprinted in her heart and would not go away for a long time.

When Harry came over, he saw Afro and Noah standing at the door of the bookstore like two statues, and their expressions were exactly the same, as if they were copies.

Harry looked up at the fireball hanging in the sky and opened the small umbrella he had borrowed from Madam Malkin.

Afro was awkwardly counting the pebbles on the gravel road when her vision suddenly darkened. The scorching sun was blocked by a small white umbrella, bringing a brief shade.

"Harry? Why don't I see you?"

She turned around and looked at the boy holding an umbrella for her. It was Harry. But she had been standing at the intersection and didn't see when he came over.

"I just came out of Sluggiggs' Pharmacy to restock some potion ingredients." Harry waved the cloth bag in his other hand in front of Avro's eyes, then looked around, "Hermione and Ron haven't come yet?"

Afro was about to answer his question when she heard the familiar quarrel between Hermione and Ron in the distance.

"How can you buy a cat? Scabbers is a mouse!"

"Crookshanks is a good cat, and it's only natural for a cat to catch a mouse!"

"Then can you please keep your cat under control!"

Hermione came over with a ginger, flat-faced kitten in her arms, while Ron was comforting a skinny mouse with drooping whiskers in his arms.

Afro looked at the kitten purring in Hermione's arms, her eyes sparkling as she reached out to touch its little head. The fluffy fur was soft.

Even when everyone arrived and walked into Flourish and Blotts, their quarrel had not ended. It even seemed to be developing into a cat-and-mouse game.

The staff at Flourish and Blotts Bookstore have been very worried recently because the professor at Hogwarts has been replaced by a new person. They don’t know what this professor is thinking to use such a dangerous book!

The book "Monsters' Monster Book" is about to violently demolish their bookstore! If you don't keep an eye on it, it will harass other books and make a mess of the house!

"Hogwarts students? Do you need five books?" The clerk, who looked bored, counted the number of people in Avro's group, then skillfully opened the cage behind him and reached his gloved hand into the cage.

"Three books. He and I don't need them." Harry kindly reminded the clerk that he came to buy a book on Divination, which Hagrid had given him on his birthday.

He also knew that Hagrid was the new professor of Care of Magical Creatures.

"Thank God!" The clerk withdrew his hand gratefully when he heard Harry's words and asked him enthusiastically if he needed any other books.

“Four copies of Cassandra Vabrowski’s “The Future Is Not Enough.”

"If I were you, I would definitely not take this course." The clerk pulled out a few black-covered books from the corner of the bookstore, dusted them off and handed them to them.

A few minutes later, they walked towards the Leaky Cauldron with a few new books. Harry and Nuoyan took the heavy books from Afro's hands in a gentlemanly and natural manner.

Ron also wanted to help Afro, but he looked at the girl with empty hands and finally stretched out his hand to Hermione.

Hermione, still angry, shook her ponytail, and the ends of her hair hit Ron's eyes, bringing out tears.
