HP: Hogwarts Snake
Chapter 457 Before the Engagement Ceremony
Ever since Sheena and her sister moved to Riddle Manor, Della has been extra careful about their safety. Since there's nothing much to do while staying at the manor, she reads "The Extraordinary" and adds her own creative touches, making quite a few things for them.
Besides their physical safety, she was also very concerned about the psychological well-being of the two Muggles.
How can we not pay attention? People are dying or going missing outside every day, and there are even reception rooms inside that supposedly house corpses.
So before the Perea sisters arrived, Della's main task was to ensure information security. She cleaned up any potentially cruel information that might be leaked from the manor, established strict document handling procedures, and installed access control for the reception room where Sadorine was kept.
The word "dead" may seem unrelated when spoken, but seeing it in person, or even just looking at a photo, is a completely different experience. After all, they are the same kind of person, and seeing them suddenly can cause a person to have a stressful breakdown.
Della had this experience, and therefore didn't want other innocent people, especially pure children like Beretta, to go through the same thing.
Thinking about it carefully, this is partly why Sheena is so infatuated with Maggie. In this bloody family, Della has kept these two Muggles out of all the cruelty, which makes Sheena, who already has an innocent personality, even more naive.
That's fine. Apart from disliking Maggie for lying to women, there's no other impact. After all, I never intended for Sheena to become a brave female warrior or a sharp spokesperson. Unfortunately, she's been tied to the most shameless person, so of course I have to spend more money to enjoy a peaceful life.
Putting all that aside, the current impact of this tight security is that, during her relatively smooth negotiations with the trio, Sheena repeatedly mentioned the meeting room that was off-limits.
With Sheena's literature books and Beretta's fairy tale books filling the study where Della and Maggie conducted their official business, the uninvited reception room stood out.
Moreover, there were already rumors that there was something 'too dangerous to look at' in the reception room of Riddle Manor.
Desperate for more information and also looking for loopholes in the chaos, the trio weighed their options and decided to go over. Della and Maggie watched them make their decision, loosening the access to the meeting room so that it could be unlocked with the 'Alaho Open'.
Maggie laughed at this, saying, "I envy them. They even have enemies who let them off the hook at the critical moment."
“Instead of envying this kind of thing, you should think about tomorrow’s wedding,” Della pinched the bridge of her nose. “The person upstairs specifically requested that Maria and Professor Abate speak. It’s not going to be a good scene.”
"To be honest, he didn't think things through when he insulted me. After all, I wasn't the one who was most embarrassed in this situation," Maggie shrugged indifferently.
Della felt her brow, which was being pressed, twitch involuntarily. She didn't even ask the question of whether she loved her, which would definitely have a negative answer. Instead, she asked wearily, "Why did you choose to marry her?"
“Because she was willing to die for me.” Maggie gave this answer once again.
"Would she be willing to die for you with that face?" Della finally bluntly pointed out this.
Maggie and Della looked at each other, remained silent for a moment, and then suddenly broke into a smile. "Maybe so. I'm not that easy to marry other women."
This matter is actually quite obvious. Anyone with even a little knowledge would know that this is the case. Maggie also knew this was obvious, but she still went to the trouble of using vague language.
This is a flaw, a genuine expression of true feelings.
Della gave Maggie a deep look and then said nothing more.
The chaotic night passed quickly. Della, who was in charge of hosting the wedding, opened her eyes almost as soon as she closed them. Having gotten up earlier than the two engaged couples, she checked the guest list and seating arrangements again. Before the costume team arrived, she had someone wake up Sheena and Maggie, and thoughtfully left a house-elf to look after Beretta, so that she wouldn't be too busy to take care of the little one.
She was also keeping an eye on Harry's situation. After the three of them went to the meeting room, they had a debate about why Sadorine was frozen. Ron thought it was just due to Maggie's twisted psychology, while Hermione was very concerned about Sheena not being allowed to enter, believing that there was something to explore about the frozen Sadorine.
Harry barely participated in the lovers' quiet argument, remaining silent as he watched Sadorine's frosty face before finally delivering the final blow.
“We have to take her away; my scars itch when I get close to her.”
Ron then pressed Harry for a while to see if it was psychological, suggesting the decision was too hasty. To that, Della would like to say something fair: the matter was objective.
Maggie placed a Horcrux on Sadorine.
In his words, since Harry has been wandering around, instead of waiting for him to hit the jackpot, it's better to give him another hand.
This leads to an interesting matter, or perhaps two? Anyway, it's all about the same thing: Maggie, who is now suffering because of her womanizing ways, was able to find the Horcrux so quickly precisely because of her womanizing.
During the time he was still involved with Lydia, because Lydia and Bella were friends, he had a few brief exchanges with Bella, and from this somewhat mentally unstable woman, he heard a sentence.
"No one will ever be closer to me than my master!"
At first, Maggie thought this sentence was referring to a possible affair between Bella and Voldemort. I apologize for using the derogatory term "affair" here, but after all, she is nominally Mrs. Lestrange, so if the situation is true, then objectively speaking, that is indeed the case.
However, it seems that's not the case. Bella still has to run in terror when Voldemort goes berserk and kills. Although she is indeed closer to Voldemort in her usual position, the eye contact between the two is almost entirely limited to Bella's one-sided admiration, and there is no record of any private meetings.
For Voldemort, worshipping him was a matter of course, only the degree of loyalty differed.
Maggie dared to guess that the word "closeness" referred to a closeness that transcended romantic love and was closer to a spiritual bond.
So he secretly investigated Blackhammer Manor and Gringotts and obtained Hufflepuff's golden cup.
Another thing he probably learned during the Triwizard Tournament was that the Ravenclaw ghost approached him to chat and cried mournfully several times. At that time, he roughly guessed that there was something in the Room of Requirement, but he didn't make any rash moves.
Tom Riddle's face is still very useful.
Considering that it would be too difficult for a young wanderer to break into Gringotts, a pure-blood family, and that there were also the Carol siblings at Hogwarts, they decided to send them there along with the trio on their great adventure.
Della initially questioned the decision, especially since they had Dumbledore and Grindelwald, and it was the best option to entrust it to those two. Maggie actually listened to this, but the best option specifically requested Harry to handle it.
......
What else can be done?
Good luck, Harry.
