HP: Hogwarts Snake

Chapter 455 Unexpected Events

It was already very late, and tomorrow was another big day for her. Sheena looked at her sleeping sister and felt no sleepiness at all.

She was both happy and conflicted.

After getting engaged, she finally moved in with Maggie, but the respect she felt was even more pronounced. They were affectionate in their daily lives, exchanging glances and flirting, but they only kissed once.

Her family is religious, and when she was down on her luck, she shamefully lowered her standards in front of Maggie, but now Maggie has brought those standards back up.

Of course, while Sheena felt at ease, she wasn't entirely focused on the doctrine. She was quite conflicted for a while, wondering if the lack of intimacy between Maggie and her meant that he didn't like her enough, since their engagement had been forced upon them.

This anxiety burned within her, growing stronger and stronger until it almost consumed her.

Does he really love her?

bell--

Suddenly, the room was filled with a distant ringing sound. Beretta whimpered twice, turned over slightly, and went back to sleep.

Sheena suddenly stood up, walked quickly to the desk, and looked warily toward the door, Della's instructions echoing in her mind.

“My dearest Sheena, I’m so sorry that you moved in before the wedding. I would never let you live in fear because of this.”

"First, I want to tell you that the spare key to your room is only with me. Then, every door is protected against unlocking spells. Finally, in case of the possibility of powerful spells, I have added an extra layer of warning on your door."

"The bell is easy to recognize. As soon as the bell rings, just throw the knight figurine on the table at them, and their wands will immediately fall from their hands."

Sheena did just that, and Hermione and Ron's wands trembled and flew to her feet. And that wasn't all; another moon ornament was thrown at her.

"what-"

In less than a second, before the three could even finish their screams, they were transformed into three little walnut knights and landed on the ground.

Thanks to the book "The Extraordinary" and Della's alchemy, she created many interesting gadgets to keep Muggles safe.

interesting......

That's a bit of an understatement. Considering that the three little Nutcrackers that Sheena picked up could be packed up and given to Voldemort, these items could probably ruin a whole bunch of wizards.

Della wasn't really aware of the power of these items. As their creator, she had expected it, and besides, wizarding alchemy was very advanced. Compared to the Philosopher's Stone of Immortality, she felt that her items were still quite childish.

She was only slightly surprised by Sheena's decisiveness. It must be said that Della was prejudiced against Sheena. She had previously vaguely thought that Sheena's backbone was only in her stubborn mouth and twisted heart.

Ah, is it because, in the end, Sheena Pereia was also a child from a gangster family?

Overall, this decisiveness is commendable.

Della raised one eyebrow slightly, already thinking of a clever way to help Harry and the others escape. These little saviors certainly couldn't fall into Voldemort's hands, but she also couldn't be too disheartening to Sheena.

Being tied to Maggie is already tragic enough; if she continues to be attacked, I don't know how depressed she'll become.

"Please wait a moment! Please wait a moment!"

Harry, who had been lifted up by a bewildered Sheena, called out in a cute, shrill voice, sounding more like a toy, "I know you must have been coerced into something regarding tomorrow's events! We are not enemies! Please reserve a chance to change the situation."

Sheena was startled by the word 'coercion'. She slowed down, but didn't stop. She reached for the box on the table with her other hand.

"It's over! I'm going to become a toy that the mysterious man can crush!" Ron wailed. With disaster looming, he spoke without restraint. "I'll have to find a way to get him punched!"

Sheena was startled again. She glanced at Ron the Toy and thought that it would be great if Voldemort, who had humiliated Maggie, could actually be punched like that and killed.

“The Mysterious Man! The Mysterious Man!” Hermione cried out, her voice trembling as she nearly sobbed. She had keenly noticed Sheena’s instinctive aversion to words related to Voldemort. “Please wait a moment, Miss! We might even be his last hope of killing him!”

Faced with a survival crisis, Hermione rarely spoke such grandiose and mysterious words, hoping to persuade Sheena to stay calm.

Tuk Tuk——

The knocking sounded abruptly, and the three adults and one child facing each other all turned sharply to look at the wooden door. Sheena's eyes flashed especially brightly, and her heart was pounding very fast.

Della and Maggie didn't tell her much about the wizarding world, but she could sense many things just by feeling.

For example, the fact that the two Riddles' father was a true dictator, that the group is now cracking down hard on the three, including Harry Potter, and that Voldemort is particularly hostile towards Maggie.

She has now captured three people, which matches the number, and they are very likely the three important ones. There is also a high probability that she has pleased the dictator. But is this really beneficial to Maggie's situation?

They groveled and gained a moment of peace, but the oppression itself remained unshaken.

Because she was too far removed from the wizarding world and knew little about it, Sheena wasn't exactly anti-Voldemort. Similarly, she didn't fawn over Voldemort, and she didn't even consider whether the situation was advantageous to her. She only thought about whether this matter would help Maggie.

“Sheena? May I come in? I’d like to talk to you some more before tomorrow.”

Her beloved's gentle voice rang out from outside the door. Shea bit her lip and subconsciously put the Walnut Knights trio into the box first, then hurriedly ran over to open the door.

Sheena's almost complete concealment of the trio was also unexpected by Della, since surrendering was the easiest way for Sheena to gain recognition and support.

Even if we take a step back, capturing the trio is a big deal, and the safest course of action would be to discuss it with Maggie.

For better or worse, Sheena's opinions are surprisingly strong.

Is this her true nature? Has a marriage close to power stirred up her long-dormant nature?

Della couldn't help but sketch Sheena's portrait and patiently observed what was happening in the room.

In any case, Sheena's current behavior is in line with the development of events that Della hoped would occur.

Since it aligns with our interests, there's no need to criticize it; we can simply wait and see.
