HP: Hogwarts Snake
Chapter 394 Cynthia and Xin
Two months passed in a flash, and Cynthia had collected fifteen letters from Sirius and six letters from Harry. The Easter holiday had just passed, and the school post office was busy. Every time she passed by, she saw a lot of people queuing or sitting in a row waiting to read the letter room. Cynthia was impatient to wait, so she simply waited another week and went to the post office again when there were fewer people.
During the week she received three more letters, two from Sirius and one from Harry.
She took the letters and went into the post office during a class time. She randomly found the nearest window in the rare empty post office. After the wooden railing was automatically raised, Cynthia leaned slightly inside, thinking about the post office trial guide that Eva had introduced to her. Her face, which was very different from a year ago but no less beautiful, was reflected in the crystal ball.
Cynthia had always known that her appearance was changing, it was natural for her appearance to change now that Lily's part of her had left, and now that the changes had all stopped, she looked at the face in the crystal ball, liking the silver hair, and thought the green eyes were still a little dazzling.
After a few clicking sounds, to Cynthia's surprise, a small basket of letters fell out. She picked up a few and took a look. They were all from the Ministry of Magic and Gringotts.
The crystal ball flashed twice again. Cynthia pressed the green sphere, and the hole dotted with candlelight replaced the formal wooden window. In an instant, the breath of magic drove away the mechanical automation, and the fantasy of the magic world returned.
Cynthia took the unopened old and new letters and walked into the candlelight, in front of the temporarily silent fireplace.
The temperature in the letter reading room was a little lower than outside, and the visually cold fireplace aggravated the physical feeling of coldness. Cynthia looked at the letter in her hand, and her heart, which she thought was hard-hearted, trembled with fear.
Burn first or read first?
Whose should be burned first?
She sat in front of the fireplace, looking at the letters in her hands that came from different people and might have different destinies. She became conflicted and finally picked up the letters from the Ministry of Magic and Gringotts first.
Cynthia opened the first envelope according to the time. It was her identity certificate with all the stamps. Changing from one country to another usually requires a lot of cumbersome procedures, but Della helped her avoid all the trouble.
The next few letters were the property rights of two houses, a store lease agreement and three property transfer certificates.
There are two houses, one is a finely decorated apartment near the Ministry of Magic of Country F that she glanced at briefly, and the other is the greenhouse cottage where she lives now. The apartment is so finely decorated that one can move in with just a bag, while the greenhouse cottage only had basic decoration at the beginning. However, at that time, both she and Sirius preferred to decorate the house themselves, so the apartment was only used for a short period of time during the renovation of the cottage, and then it was idle.
It turns out that when these things became hers superficially, they also became hers legally.
Cynthia, who had only worried about money during Remus Lupin's guardianship, blinked and realized that she was too naive about property. It was only because Della, who was taking care of her, was powerful enough that she could enjoy everything without knowing anything.
Cynthia picked up the lease agreement, which she had no idea about, and saw the name of Flame Brewery at a glance. This was a liquor store with good business in Lans Magic Lane, the most prosperous magical commercial street. She and Sirius had been there to drink champagne. She owned the store and had reached a lease agreement with Flame Brewery at a very good price.
This is a piece of paper for giving her money.
Cynthia understood and regretted not having carefully reviewed her Gringotts account. She only knew that she had a lot of money in her account, and Sirius, with whom she had lived before, also had a lot of money. When the two of them got together, one didn't know the value of money, and the other was used to spending money, and they only knew how to squander the money that they definitely couldn't spend.
Her attention turned to the property transfer certificates. The first one was that Della transferred part of the property rights of the airship to her free of charge. The second one was that she sold the property rights to Maria Holt for 10,000 Galleons. The third one was that the Rocher family gave her the Flame Brewery store free of charge.
Without her knowledge, the property under her name kept changing, and the 10,000 Galleons were probably the capital she squandered these days. As for whether a store and 10,000 Galleons could compare to the property rights that could bring her annual dividends from the airship, Cynthia didn't know, but she had nothing originally, so she was sure to make a profit.
Cynthia looked at these and knew for the first time what it felt like to be rich.
She put these useful proofs aside and looked at the letters from Gringotts. Della Riddle's Gringotts account was transferred to her, the allowance reserved by Beauxbatons for Della Riddle was still paid into this account, and the monthly allowance was exchanged for gold vouchers.
Cynthia looked at Della's account balance on the last letter, 600 Galleons per month. She might have spent a little at the beginning, but in the past two years, she had saved up 10962 Galleons, a considerable amount, slightly inferior compared to those houses and property rights, but she understood that this was her real get-out-of-jail-free ticket.
This account would keep her connection with Della Riddle forever, and no one would bother her.
Della Riddle was really flawless in what she did. If she didn't still have some weak humanity compared to Maggie, if she had confronted Della seriously, not only would she have ended up in trouble, but she might even be alive today.
After reading these cold legal documents, Cynthia felt warm in her heart. It was not that she was grateful to Della, but the flowing burning wealth emphasized the beauty of life for her.
Her trembling heart calmed down, and just as she was about to throw all the unnecessary emotions outside of life into the fireplace, the silver letter in her pocket vibrated. Cynthia took out the silver letter and found that it was a message from Eva.
[How is it? Have you used the fireplace? It will look good in any color]
[But the most beautiful thing is the red color that is condensed from pure love! ]
Cynthia looked at the two messages and thought about the casual chat she had with Eva while she was researching information and writing her paper. Her joyful and happy voice was still ringing in her ears.
Cynthia paused, she glanced at the letters that had been sorted by Sirius and Harry, shrugged, put the silver letter beside her, and took the seventeen letters from Sirius first, without opening them, and threw them in.
The flame of love was ignited, a pure red color never seen before, clear and yet strangely rich. Cynthia felt the same warm warmth as Sirius, and strangely understood the fusion of clarity and richness.
Clarity means wholehearted devotion, and thickness means deep love.
Cynthia's heart, heated by the wealth, became even hotter, so hot that it seemed as if her heart was melting and she could hardly feel it.
Why can we only choose one between the life we desire and the beautiful relationship?
She couldn't help but think so, as if she was finally willing to worry about Sirius, but the moment this thought came to her mind, Cynthia understood that the two were now in an irreconcilable contradiction.
Your own life is more important.
It didn't take Cynthia much time to make this decision. The experience of waiting to die that year, which was like cutting flesh with a blunt knife, left a huge shadow on her. Life was an obsession that had formed long before Sirius Black.
But Cynthia was not completely cold-hearted. She looked at the letters from Harry, sighed for her lack of decisiveness, and opened the latest letter from Harry with the thought that it would be okay to know about Sirius's current situation.
"Please reply to my letter, and also to Sirius's letter, Cynthia. Believe me, since Sirius's happiness is with you, I don't want him to be with me at all. In fact, he also wants to be with you, but the current situation makes him unable to even leave the house."
Can't even leave the house? It's really unbearable life.
Cynthia's face wrinkled as she read, and she felt a sense of disgust at the oppression in the text.
"You don't need to come over, just reply to his letter, Cynthia. The physical distance has driven him crazy. Please don't torture him psychologically. I am very worried about his condition, and the recent dreams have made me more and more worried."
Dream, what dream?
Cynthia continued to watch in surprise.
'Ah, I shouldn't tell you, but I guess you will burn this letter too. I think I'm going crazy. I turned into a big snake in my dream on Christmas to attack Mr. Weasley, and he was really attacked by the big snake and taken to St. Mungo's. But what's more terrible is that I'm still dreaming about turning into a snake, watching people whose faces I can't see discuss the assassination plan of Sirius.'
'In reality, Sirius is still trying to get out. Those people in the dream are arguing all the time. I don't know what June is, but there are also some things I don't understand, such as 'he has left the asylum'. When has Sirius ever been sheltered by those scums? They are so self-righteous. I am also really worried about Sirius' safety. '
"I really hope he will always be with you and enjoy happiness forever."
Cynthia held the piece of letter paper which described the shaky status of her love, feeling a little dazed. In an instant she returned to the moonlit night a year ago when Sirius was in danger in front of the Whomping Willow. At that time, she took a step subconsciously.
This time, she picked up the silver letter, her fingers briefly lost control and she opened the chat box with Annika.
Cynthia stared at the message that Annika had sent her a year ago, 'Come to me if you have any questions,' and swallowed, but finally started typing.
[If I want to go to Country Y to bring back Sirius, will this request be met at a cost? ]
After sending the message, Cynthia put down the silver letter with a sigh, feeling tired of the soft-heartedness she couldn't help. She looked at the letter in her hand and the letter next to Harry, and threw them all into the fireplace.
The same warm orange light was burning, but Cynthia was in no mood to appreciate it. She packed up her treasures, turned around, and left the letter room in the pleasant orange light.
The abandoned orange flame burned quietly, and the black fire hidden in the orange light also burned quietly.
