Wilderness Redemption Tour
Chapter 212 Explosion
Hearing the sound, Lin Yan looked back and saw two horse-drawn carriages lying across the second floating bridge, blocking the road tightly. Several armed policemen were hiding behind the carriages, with only a few cold gun barrels showing in the gaps.
If Dutch continues to drive at this speed, it won't be a big deal for the people in their car to perform aerial performances later. But if they are hurt again by this collision, they will really be unable to move forward.
In this situation, guns obviously can't solve the problem. Is there any way to move these two carriages? Lin Yan's brain was working quickly, and he was just about to use his skills.
Oh, yes! I still have that thing in my bag!
Thinking of this, Lin Yan reached out and took out a bundle of explosives from the space bag. This was the only high-powered weapon in his hand. This bundle of ten explosives should be more than enough to deal with the two carriages blocking the road.
"I have dynamite here! Use this!" Lin Yan took out the dynamite and held it high.
When Arthur saw Lin Yan take out a bundle of explosives, his eyes lit up and he took the initiative to take it.
"It's too late to light the fuse, throw it out and shoot it!" Dutch's tone was not so nervous. He held the reins with one hand and stretched out his right hand to Arthur: "Give it to me, I'll throw it, you shoot it!"
At the critical moment, Dutch trusted Arthur's marksmanship the most.
Only five seconds passed from the time Dutch opened his mouth to warn to the time he took the explosives, but five seconds was enough for the speeding carriage to drive onto the second pontoon bridge.
When there were still more than thirty meters away from the carriage blocking the road, Dutch threw the explosives in his hand forward with force.
"It's up to you, Arthur!"
Arthur raised the revolver in his hand, and at the same time, Lin Yan also raised his own gun. He thought that if Arthur missed, he could still use Death Eye to shoot again.
But Arthur is the protagonist of the game after all, and he is still quite reliable at critical moments.
The explosives thrown by Dutch drew a perfect arc above the pontoon. Just as it was about to fall to the height of the carriage roof, Arthur resolutely pulled the trigger.
"boom!"
The "passionate collision" of bullets and explosives created a huge fireball, and the blast instantly blew away the two carriages blocking the road, along with the policemen squatting behind the carriages. This was not the end, perhaps because they misjudged the power of the bundle of bombs, or perhaps Dutch did not control the distance and strength well, the shock wave generated by the explosion also affected their carriage.
The huge explosion not only frightened the horses pulling the cart, but the subsequent gust of air almost overturned the cart as well. Fortunately, there were enough people in the cart and it was heavy enough, so it escaped.
Anyway, they finally got through this difficult time. Before the pursuers caught up, Dutch and Arthur got out of the car and tried their best to comfort and feed the two horses, which had faced the explosion, and finally made them return to normal. There was no other way. If they didn't find a way to serve these two masters, their car would be a decoration. If there were more people coming from behind, it would only take a few minutes to catch up with them who had no means of transportation.
Dutch heaved a sigh of relief after getting back on the carriage and letting Arthur drive. "Whew! It took some time, but we finally got it done. Let's get out of this damn place before the pursuers come."
After the carriage started moving again, Dutch turned around and asked, "Is everyone else okay?"
After receiving a response from the others that everything was fine, Dutch touched the back of his head and grinned, "Just now when I was in the city, I got hit hard on the back of my head, so much so that I saw triple shadows. I think it's a miracle that we were able to drive the carriage out. It seems that we are not destined to die."
"So how do you feel now?" Arthur asked with concern.
"You won't die anytime soon." Dutch said with a smile, "Anyway, don't worry about me. Leave this place first and get rid of those policemen behind you."
In order to prevent the hiding place from being exposed, Arthur drove the carriage through the Black Swamp and then circled Scarlett Meadow. Only after he was completely sure that no one was following him did he turn the carriage around and drive towards Shady Belle.
"Good job, kid!" After confirming it was safe, Arthur slowed down the car. Dutch turned around and praised Lin Yan: "You took out that bundle of explosives at the right time."
"You're not bad, Javier." Dutch looked at Javier again: "You and Jamie showed up just in time. If it weren't for you, the three of us would have been trapped."
"It's nothing. If you want to thank someone, thank Jamie." Javier pointed at Lin Yan, not intending to steal the credit: "He was the first one to hear the gunshots coming from your side in the carriage."
When talking about this, Lin Yan looked at Dutch with an extremely serious expression. "I was a little worried when I learned from Javier this morning that you were going to attack the tram station. I didn't expect my hunch to come true. That day at the mayor's house, I felt that Angelo Bronte had bad intentions when he told you the news. I thought that even if I didn't tell you, you would be able to find out some clues, and at worst, Hosea would make decisions for you. I didn't expect..."
Lin Yan's words were quite straightforward. Arthur was afraid that if he continued, it would embarrass Dutch, so he suggested to Dutch in simple words: "I think we should keep some rationality the next time we act."
Dutch was neither angry nor annoyed. He put his hands on the back of the chair, got into a comfortable posture, and nodded in agreement with Arthur and Lin Yan: "It's my fault. I didn't investigate it clearly. I thought this was a good opportunity, but I fell into the trap that scum dug for me. He treated me like a fool and arranged for the police to arrest us. Have we done anything excessive to him? Have I done anything to him?"
Arthur thought for a moment and said, "I think he is used to being the king of this place and has long been accustomed to hearing others' flattery. Naturally, he doesn't like a tough guy like you. So, after this incident, are you sure we can still carry out our plan tomorrow as usual?"
Dutch was lost in thought for a moment as he stared at the clouds in the sky. When he came to his senses, he said to himself with a serious face, "We just want to make more money... make a big profit, and then run away. Robbing a bank is our biggest opportunity, and Hosea agrees with this."
"Even now? After the scene we just had in Saint Denis?" Arthur asked in amazement.
"Of course... not." Dutch took a deep breath, his eyes burning with the desire for revenge: "We have to rob the bank, but we have more important things to do now. This is about our dignity. Are we willing to be insulted silently and flee like cockroaches, or settle the account with him seriously?"
