Wilderness Redemption Tour

Chapter 132 Home Visit

Lin Yan now had to face two pieces of news, one good and one bad. The good news was that he caught the boy who snatched the bag and got news about Angelo Bronte; the bad news was that the other two companions were lost.

After standing there and thinking for a while, he decided to find Sadie and Kiran first, and then go to the address he had inquired about to confirm whether the news was true.

After walking back a distance along the same path, Lin Yan saw Sadie standing at the entrance of the alley and looking around.

Sadie was also delighted when she saw Lin Yan. After the two of them met, Sadie asked first, "Where's Jilan? Isn't he with you?"

"Ah?" A big question mark popped up in Lin Yan's mind.

"I didn't see him. Wasn't he with you?" Lin Yan asked back.

Sadie shook her head and denied it: "He ran out right after you just now. If you came back to look for him, you should have run into him first."

Lin Yan also shook his head and said, "No, you were the only one I saw when I came back."

After saying that, the two of them stared at each other and froze in place.

After thinking for a while, Lin Yan said hesitantly: "Maybe he took the wrong road after running out, why don't we go ahead and look for him?"

"Well... let's go and take a look." Sadie had no other ideas.

So Lin Yan and Sadie walked in another direction for a while, but when they returned to the door of the Bastille Tavern where they tied their horses, they still didn't see Kiran.

Seeing that the three men's horses were still tied neatly in front of the tavern, Lin Yan suddenly had no idea what to do.

"Eh... That's strange. This area is so small. Where can Jilan run to?"

"Such a big living person won't be lost..."

After pacing back and forth at the entrance of the tavern for a few times, Lin Yan clapped his hands and said, "Forget it, let's not look for it for now. How about this..."

As he said that, he looked at Sadie. "If Kieran can't find us, he will definitely come back. Why don't you wait for him here while I go to investigate the address I just found out. If Kieran comes, you can find me there. The address is Flavian Street, the big house across from Central Park."

"Okay, you go first, I'll wait for him here." Sadie nodded and agreed to Lin Yan's plan.

After asking a passerby how to get to the Central Park, Lin Yan mounted his horse and quickly rushed to his destination.

After arriving at Central Park, while searching for Flavian Street, Lin Yan unexpectedly met Dutch and Arthur. It seemed that they also found this place through their own methods.

Seeing Lin Yan approaching, Dutch greeted him enthusiastically: "Ah~Jamie, it seems that you have also discovered something. Where is Mrs. Adler, isn't she with you?"

Lin Yan turned over and dismounted, saying, "We just got separated from Jilan. She is waiting for him at the Bastille Tavern. I will come over to investigate first, and we will meet here later."

"Ahem... you came just in time." Arthur covered his mouth and coughed twice and said, "Dutch and I were planning to go visit Mr. Bronte. When John comes, the four of us will go together."

As Arthur finished speaking, a horse came galloping and stopped in front of the three people. The man was John.

"Let's go." John jumped off the horse and urged anxiously.

"Relax, John." Dutch saw that John was not in a good state and patiently advised: "We don't know what attitude Mr. Bronte has towards us yet. This is the first time we meet, so try to be friendly and see how things go."

"I understand. I just want to confirm that Jack is safe as soon as possible." John tied up his horse and walked with others to the mansion not far away. He asked again: "How much do you know about this guy? I only heard that he is a rich and powerful European with a flamboyant appearance and a lot of hair oil on his head."

"I know almost the same thing as you do. Everyone seems to be afraid of him and doesn't want to tell me more." Lin Yan replied.

"Okay, listen to me." Dutch slowed down his pace about ten meters away from the gate and said to the others, "Let's go meet this big shot first. Don't get angry with him unless it's absolutely necessary. Remember, Jack is still in his hands."

After saying that, he walked towards the iron-railed door without stopping, and negotiated with the guard behind the door: "I'm sorry to bother you, sir. We have an appointment with Mr. Bronte in advance. Can you..."

"Who are you?" the guard walked to the door and asked.

"Me? I am..." Dutch answered as he stretched out his right hand and pierced through the iron bars at lightning speed, snatching the other's gun. Then, he pointed the stolen gun at the guard and said, "Go find your boss right now. I want to discuss something with him like a gentleman, so don't force me to use violence."

After saying that, he put the gun back into the other person's holster, patted him on the shoulder and said, "Go ahead, silly boy."

Seeing that Dutch didn't embarrass him, the guard nodded slightly and turned to go back into the house to report. However, as soon as he left, the other guards in the yard surrounded him.

"Dutch, if you do this, will it be..." John said hesitantly.

Dutch looked at the armed guards who surrounded him, raised his hands and comforted him, "Don't worry, I know my limits. Although I don't advocate causing trouble, we can't let them think we're afraid of trouble."

"Mr. Bronte said to let them in." A moment later, the guard walked out of the room and shouted to his colleagues.

Upon hearing this, a guard pulled the bolt on the door, slowly opened the iron gate, and invited the four "guests" outside in, but everyone still pointed their guns vigilantly at these strangers.

"Don't be nervous, guys. We have no ill intentions. We just want to clarify some things with your boss." Dutch raised his hands and walked in with a relaxed look. Lin Yan saw that John and Arthur also followed Dutch with their hands raised, so he followed them in with his hands raised.

Walking into the Bronte mansion, Lin Yan's first impression was the extreme luxury. Compared with it, the Braithwaite family's villa was simply dwarfed by it.

The all-crystal wall lamps, the decorative paintings that are obviously worth a fortune, the wool carpets throughout the house, and the exquisitely crafted porcelains everywhere, all indirectly tell everyone how rich and powerful this "big shot" of Saint Denis is.

Dutch, who was walking in front, followed the guard who led the way to a reception room. The layout here was basically the same as that of the Braithwaite family's reception room, but the decoration and furniture were more upscale.

Inside the house, a middle-aged man wearing dark red pajamas with gold edges and a melon-shaped hat embroidered with a circle of flowers was leaning on the sofa. Seeing the guard leading Dutch and the group of strangers in, he closed the account book in his hand and whispered something in Italian to the guard who led the way.

Before they could finish, Dutch pulled John forward and asked, "Mr. Angelo Bronte, can you tell us why you arrested his son?"
