Traveling through The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

Chapter 3: Leaving the Dragon’s Mouth, Entering a Den of Thieves

I don't know how long it took, but I woke up slowly. The twin moons were hanging high in the sky, and the cool summer night breeze was blowing on my body. The arrow wound on my waist didn't hurt that much anymore, probably because I was reborn in Locke's body. If I died again, I might not be so lucky. I didn't dare to try this thing casually.

My whole body aches now, probably from the blow from Aoshi and the fall into the house. I stagger out of the dilapidated house and see a mess of corpses everywhere, including civilians, Imperial soldiers, and Stormcloaks. Tullius and Ulfric must have fled separately, and the battlefield was not cleaned up. I slumped on the ground, thinking about my situation.

According to the plot of the game, it is now the last month, which is August. I should follow Larov or Hadava to escape to Riverwood Town, and then go to Whiterun to meet Lord Balgruuf, the "Great One". But now this road is probably blocked. The lord is not a big shot in the market, and anyone can go to see him. Without Larov's friendship, Ulfric may not recognize me. And without Hadava's endorsement, I might still be a death row prisoner in the Empire. But I may be able to try my luck in Loristed with the identity of Rocker. If I can get a small sum of money and put together a set of equipment for Eric, I will be a master with two brushes. I searched in Rocker's memory and found that there was indeed an impression of Eric, and the relationship between the two was not bad. Eric envied Rocker's ability to travel all over the country, and every time he met him, he would treat this little brother to a few drinks and talk about the gate array. But since Old Ulfric got into trouble and Rocker went bankrupt, he hasn't been home for half a year.

With the direction of the first step, I began to think about my new body. Although I didn't do any special fitness exercises in my previous life, I did a lot of physical work in the restaurant, and I was very skilled in using a kitchen knife. In the other world, Rocker made a living on horseback all year round, so he had a strong body and his thighs were not fat at all, strong and powerful.

In the game, everyone has three attributes, life, magic, and endurance, which are called measurements, and the most important, skill points, called perks, which can be intuitively seen in the character status interface. However, I can't find a way to observe these data now. I don't know if I haven't integrated into the system yet, or if these don't work at all. Without intuitive attributes as a guide, I can't decide the future development direction. In the game, I majored in illusion and stealth, using hidden stabs to clear the field, and killing dragons with the help of magic absorption of the vampire lord. It is efficient, safe, and even a little boring. However, now, it is still hard to say whether this development direction can work. It is a question whether Eric and I can handle the Void Cave alone.

In addition, there is a health setting in the game. As long as it is not zero, being injured does not affect the character's ability to move. Now the situation is obviously different. As for whether the damage of being shot in the knee and being shot in the head is the same, I dare not try it easily. In short, in this alien world, I still don't use the experience of the game to guide my choices. After all, if you die in the game, you can reload the game, but if you die here, you may go to Sovngarde.

But there is one skill I want to try first, that is the Nord race talent: Battle Roar. This is a low-level fear spell. If I can use it successfully, at least I can save my life in front of ordinary small robbers. If I can't afford to offend me, I can run away. I cleared my throat, opened my mouth, and yelled, but unfortunately there were dead people around me, and I didn't know if this roar was effective.

"There's a living person over here! Come quickly!"

Hmm? I was so absorbed in thinking about life that I didn't notice anyone nearby. As I spoke, five or six guys came out from behind the ruins, all of them were bandits holding sharp blades. The leader was a head taller than the others, wrapped in steel armor, holding a sledgehammer in his right hand. Under the moonlight, he looked like a god of war. I felt bitter in my mouth. The bandits in the game would fight directly when they met, and would not allow anyone to talk to them. My so-called roar was probably just a scream in the eyes of this hammer guy.

Hammer stood in front of me, his face covered by a helmet, and I couldn't see his expression. I was wondering whether I should give in and beg for mercy, or stick my neck out and act like a hero, but I heard a muffled voice: "Blindfold him and take him away!"

"Hehe, the boss still likes this one."

"You're fucking itchy, aren't you?"

My eyes went dark, and then my body flew into the air and was held up by several robbers. This is enough! Why am I so miserable? I didn't succeed in my journey here, but instead had bad luck one after another. I am a straight man, and I grew up with the fifth girl. Even though I occasionally cheated on a Japanese teacher, my body remained faithful. Now I am going to be defiled by thieves from another world? This hammer brother is so big, he must be an orc, right?

As soon as I thought of this, my spirit could no longer hold out, and I fainted for the third time after crossing over.
