Traveling through The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

Chapter 23 See you under the moonlight

Cindy stayed in the tower to watch over Sidgal, Rigel went down to block the door, and I returned to the top floor of the tower to extinguish the bonfire and grab the longbow in my hand. Our part was completed, and the light of torches gathered in the direction of Falkreath. It seemed that Danger's part was also going smoothly.

The standing army of Falkreath has only about a hundred people, divided into two parts, led by Helvard and Skunar, one of whom is the lord's confidant and the other is the empire's special envoy. The goal of the coup is to take down the two, then replace them with our people, and then organize Rigel's team into the third part. Our task is to get rid of Helvard and control Sidger. Danger needs to trick Skunar into following the two, then take over the military power, lead the troops to cut off his retreat, and after getting rid of him, just accuse him of a crime and report it to Tullius. There is no evidence to prove it, so what can he do to me? The key to the plan lies in whether Danger can successfully control the army, and the biggest variable lies in whether I can snipe Skunar from the sentry tower.

However, something was wrong. After gathering the men, Schooner did not set out, but moved towards the barracks. Then the crowd suddenly dispersed, and a sturdy black shadow rushed out from the firelight, but was surrounded again.

That's Sinding!

This guy transformed into a werewolf and could have slipped away under the cover of night, but he happened to catch up with us while we were at work. Rigel ran up to watch the situation in the city with me.

"A werewolf has tripped up Schooner. This guy can easily deal with one or two soldiers, but he can't break out. What should we do? Should we go over and take a look?"

"You watch that guy, Cindy and I will go over there." After saying that, Rigel was about to go downstairs, but I grabbed him.

"I'll go with you. That's a werewolf. It's too dangerous for both of you to get close. I'll shoot arrows from a distance. It's safer."

After telling Cindy not to torture the prisoners, Rigel and I ran to Falkreath. We passed through the cemetery and saw Danger, who was protected by Rod in full armor, watching the battle between the werewolves and the soldiers. The old fox saw me coming and looked behind me anxiously. I stepped forward and lowered my voice and said, "The lord is still in the watchtower, and there are reliable people guarding him. It's dangerous here, and we dare not bring him here."

"You shouldn't have come. Schooner has the situation under control and will be on his way to the watchtower soon. It would be terrible if the lord fell into his hands! If he can kill this beast, I'm afraid it will be difficult for me to convince the soldiers to fight him."

"Then please come with us to the watchtower, sir. You and the lord should first clear up the misunderstanding and try to prevent him from joining forces with Skuna."

Danger nodded. I don't believe what he said about clearing up the misunderstanding. We just have to catch Sidgel. If he is confirmed as a traitor, there will be no chance of turning the tables. Sinding is seriously injured and can't hold on for long. We must leave immediately. The four of them were about to slip away when the dying werewolf suddenly howled to the sky. The howl didn't seem to be heard by the ears, but poured directly into the brain from the fontanelle! Endless fear surged from all sides and drowned me in an instant.

Run! That's the only thing on my mind. Run! No matter where you run to! Run!

I was not the only one there. The soldiers, a few brave onlookers, and Danger all ran away in panic, some even pissed themselves. Rigel leaned his warhammer on the ground, frowning and struggling to resist the whistling sound. Rhode staggered, but still held Danger tightly to prevent him from running into danger.

The only clear stream was the Imperial envoy, Schooner. He roared, stepped forward, and smashed Sindin's chin with his left hand shield, and then swung his right sword, and the huge wolf head flew into the air! Sindin was killed, the howling stopped, and everyone settled down and stopped running around. I felt dizzy, my legs were weak, and my crotch was hot and wet. I didn't know where I had thrown my longbow. I could only sit on the ground and stare at the Imperial officer. Is this the person I tried to kill?

We lost, this is already doomed. With Skuna's fighting power, Rigel may not be able to survive ten rounds in his hands. Even if he joins forces with Rod, I'm afraid the chance of winning is not great. What's more, the two men were embarrassed by the werewolf's roar, but Skuna was fine. If we fight now, we can only surrender. The strength is obviously not on the same level. Rigel dragged his warhammer to my side, and Rod also supported Danger to move closer to us. The old fox and I have lost our ability to move, and the four of us have despair on our faces. Skuna came to Falkreath without a single soldier, and he never showed his strength. Danger thought he was just a supervisor sent by Tullius, who would have thought he was so terrifying! Now we can only think about how to escape. Rigel and I are fine. At most, we can move to another place to live. Danger and Rod both have respectable identities in Falkreath. If they abandon everything and go into exile, it will be too tragic. I just don't know how much these two have exposed. Can they avoid being suspected by Sidger and Schooner? Danger and I have always been the ones who make the decisions. We were speechless. The four of us could only stay where we were, at a loss.

The only person in the city who could move freely was Schooner. After he killed Sindin, he suddenly looked around blankly, as if he was looking for something, and then lowered his head and muttered to himself. Suddenly, he grasped the long sword in his hand, came to the headless werewolf corpse, and searched carefully. With a strange smile, he lifted Sindin's left hand, swung the sword to cut it off, and then took a silver ring from his finger.

"Run! Rigel! Rod! Protect Lord Danger! Run!"

Rigel acted like a bachelor. He threw away his warhammer, picked me up and held me under his armpit. With his other hand, he and Rod lifted Danger and fled towards the cemetery. Behind him, Skuna put on the ring with a grin, and then let out a painful roar. Thick and hard black hair suddenly appeared on his body, and his mouth stretched out, with a mouthful of sharp teeth reflecting the firelight. As the transformation was completed, the werewolf let out a piercing howl. Even though we were about to enter the black pine forest, Rigel and Rod's feet softened and the four of us fell together. My reaction was much stronger than before. After all, I was farther away from the werewolf this time, and I had already urinated last time. In the city of Falkreath, screams continued to ring out, but the four of us had no courage to go over to save people. We had to support each other and return to the Falkreath watchtower.

Hiding behind the door, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. I was trapped by Rigel all the way and was almost suffocated. I sat on the ground and gasped for air. Danger recovered quickly and looked at Cindy who was walking towards him and bowed like a gentleman.

"This lady is the mistress of Locker, right? Baron Danger of House Storn, of Falkreath, greets you."
