Traveling through The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

Chapter 16 You are here to hunt white deer

The next morning, I struggled and rolled on the floor, and it took me a long time to sit up in a mess. I practiced too hard yesterday, and my arms were completely weak at this moment, like a disabled person. Angie smiled and held a pair of leather armor, "This is what my father used. I'll lend it to you first and try it out to see if it fits you. I'll go with you to the mountains. Let's make it clear in advance that I'll be the first to choose the prey we catch." The girl was wearing a tight outfit that outlined her figure in a curvy manner. Her blonde hair was tied behind her head, making her look heroic. Seeing that I was paralyzed, she had to help me put on the leather armor. To be honest, even if I was fine, I would have to ask her for help because I couldn't do it myself. Leather armor looks light and simple, but how to tighten those belts and buckles, how to get protection without affecting movement, is really a bit tricky. As for the steel armor like Rigel, you need help from others before going out.

The two of them put on their bows and arrows and headed into the mountains. After crossing the snow line, Angie slowed down her pace, checking the ground and tree trunks from time to time, and sometimes wrinkling her nose and sniffing the air. I couldn't see anything, so I could only follow her step by step. When she squatted, I squatted too, and when she stood up, I stood up too. Thinking about it, I felt stupid.

The girl only shot a few rabbits and pheasants along the way. Twice she saw a deer but didn't take action. "It's too big. If we catch it, we'll have to go back to camp. Let's look for any clues about your brother first, and then catch a big one on the way back."

According to the map in the game, the Blood Throne should be a little bit due east and north of Angie's camp. The mountain road was winding and the forest was deep. I was completely lost, but Angie seemed to have her own way of identifying the direction. She led me into a small path and pointed to the branches next to it. "It looks like this place has been cut down, and the road is also newly stepped on. It should be a human, but I don't know if it is the person you are looking for."

Angie's judgment was soon confirmed. In the clearing in the woods, we found an abandoned camp. Angie first walked around the camp, then went over to poke the ground in the camp. I could see some animal fur and bones, as well as a pile of ashes. The girl checked for a long time this time before slowly standing up. "More than ten people, so many? Oh, I see, you are here to hunt white deer, right?"

White deer... Isn't that the hunting demon Hircine? Angie looked very excited. According to her, being able to hunt such a magnificent prey is the highest achievement a hunter can achieve. "Let me tell you, I once saw a white deer in this mountain! It is very beautiful and very smart. I think it may be intelligent, just like you and me." Miss, you are too naive. That thing is more than just intelligent!

After coming to the conclusion of hunting white deer, Angie searched more actively, and the clues around him became more and more obvious, so that I could see them. Climbing up a small hill, I finally breathed a sigh of relief. Under a protruding rock on the top of the mountain, there was a bonfire. A man and two women sat around it. They were the men that Wolfe had brought with him. When the three saw me, they were all stunned, "Locke? Why are you here? Who is this? Where's the boss?"

I learned from the three people that they successfully found the castle. Wolfe left five people on the hillside to stand guard and led the others in to investigate the situation. The castle was still abandoned. They quickly cleaned up the hall and two rooms. Wolfe sent people to change the guard every three days. They came out to stand guard five days ago. When the three days were up, no one came to take over, so two of them went back to investigate the situation, but never came back. The remaining three people are now in a dilemma. One advocates going to Wolfe again, one advocates going to Rigel to ask for people, and the other wants to stay where they are. After arguing for a day, there is no result. At this point, I can no longer pretend to be here to hunt white deer. I looked at Angie awkwardly. The girl ignored me and squinted at the small castle in the valley.

"Of the three of you, send one person back to get reinforcements, and the rest of you stay here and don't move."

Angie took the bow in her hand and I hurried after her.

"Aren't you angry?"

The girl rolled her eyes at me and said, "We're already here, why don't you go in and take a look? Don't talk when you go in, and don't go too far inside."

She drew her bow and aimed at the entrance, motioning me to go and open the door. I carefully pushed the wooden door open a crack, imitating the scene in a police movie. We slipped into the castle, tiptoed through the corridor, and came to a small hall. On the right was a long and wide staircase that led directly to the wide hall. Three people stood in it, chatting casually. Angie winked, and we retreated to the door.

"Is he one of yours?"

"There are two of them. I don't know the woman in black, but I roughly know what's going on."

Something has happened. That woman must be a vampire. I'm afraid only the three people outside from Wolfe's team survived.

When I got back to the camp, I confessed that I had accepted the mission and came here to hunt vampires, and begged Angie to stay and help. Although the girl did not refuse, she was still very angry, "I was really tricked by you. I didn't expect you to be so honest, but you are such a liar!"

All we had to do next was wait for Rigel's support. The four of us took turns keeping watch, but there was no movement in the castle. We didn't know what Vigohar was doing inside.

At dusk, Rigel brought seven people over. We had recently lost a total of 17 people from the sentry in Ximu Town and Wolfe's detachment, and we also had to take care of the defense of the base, which was a bit stretched. I introduced Angie to Rigel and briefly explained the known situation.

"I know some of the characteristics of vampires. They can charm humans, revive the dead in a short period of time, and transform others into vampires. They are very tricky. It is not yet certain whether our brothers were charmed, resurrected after being killed, or transformed."

"So we have to concentrate our efforts and try to prioritize killing the vampire. If someone attracts the other party's attention, I am sure I can shoot the vampire on the platform."

"We have to try to kill her in one blow. Vampires have invisibility magic, and it will be troublesome if she runs away."

……

Night is the home turf of vampires, so the attack is scheduled for tomorrow morning.
