My Arknights Life Diary

Chapter 289 Tu Fang: I am on the Earth Tour? !

After a while, as the thunderstorm completely subsided, Tu Fang and Nancy also came to Meijiaozi, or Ajiao.

"Nancy, how is His condition now?"

"The situation is relatively stable. Although this guy failed to successfully cross the life level, overall, he has still evolved. He should be able to wake up in a while."

"That's good."

Tu Fang breathed a sigh of relief.

"Nancy, since there's nothing wrong with No-Horn, then we should deal with the base. My tin house is now... Never mind, let's not talk about it."

Tu Fang looked at the mess around him and felt that it didn't matter whether he said anything or not.

"Mr. Tu Fang, you can rest assured. I can have the Iron Men rebuild an identical base in a very short time."

"Of course I know this, but the point is that I always feel that the work created by those iron men doesn't have that flavor. Even though everything is exactly the same, it just doesn't have that flavor."

Tu Fang couldn't actually describe what the smell was, but he just felt that the tin houses built by those iron men were not to his taste.

While Tu Fang and Nancy were talking, the little Qilin who had been lying on the ground opened his eyes and then stood up trembling.

"Hey! Meijiaozi, you're awake! How do you feel now?"

Meijiaozi: (with a clear and confused look in his eyes)…

Tu Fang:............

Well, although Meijiaozi seems to be slow to react, he should not be seriously injured.

...............

There is not much to say about what happened next. Around dusk, Lao Pen brought Guigui and Xiao Ke back.

They had a meal here with Tu Fang, then slept in the newly built tin house, and then left with Tu Fang the next morning.

However, it is worth mentioning that Tu Fang took away 6 cryogenic chambers when he left this time, and there was no little Qilin in any of these six chambers.

This is naturally because Tu Fang needs the little Qilin to stay on the isolated island. After all, the conflicts between the dragons on the isolated island require a suitable character to mediate.

To give a simple example, the Fire Dragon and the Electric Dragon, as soon as Lao Pen sees Lei Dao, he can't help but fight with him. The reason is very simple, because it has teased Lao Pen's wife before.

As for the authenticity of this matter, Tu Fang said that he could guarantee it because this was what he saw with his own eyes when he prepared dinner for them in the Monster Hunter World.

However, he was a little curious about how this electric dragon fell in love with the female fire dragon. They were not of the same species!

Ahem, let's get back to the topic. Although the little Qilin has not yet reached adulthood, his strength is rather...weak. Even because his horns have turned into Cheetah horns, his control over lightning has greatly decreased.

But no matter what, he is still an ancient dragon, and he has a natural suppression on monsters like these ordinary flying dragons and fang dragons.

Therefore, it is best to let Him act as the manager of this island.

.....................

The next day, Tu Fang and his team returned to the long and boring journey, but this was of course only temporary, because if nothing unexpected happened,

Tu Fang and his companions will board a very large passenger ship in the next town, stay on the ship for three days, and then take a car which takes another day to reach Longmen.

And at least until now, when Tu Fang and his team have successfully boarded the ship, no accidents have occurred.

In the evening, Tu Fang and a group of people got on a very large boat, including the people and cars. The boat was not very luxurious, but the environment was good.

Tu Fang and his companions did not experience any problems such as sleeping uncomfortably or seasickness in the cabin.

The next day, Tu Fang and his friends got up very early. The reason was simple. At about six o'clock in the morning, when it was just dawn, the whistle of the big ship successfully woke up the people who were still sleeping.

Tu Fang and his companions, awakened by the noisy whistle, had no mood to continue sleeping, so they simply got up.

After everyone changed their clothes and left the guest room, Nancy took Xiao Ke to the cafeteria inside the cabin to find food, while Tu Fang and Guigui planned to take a walk on the deck and get some fresh air.

After all, although the cabin is not that uncomfortable, it still makes people feel depressed.

............

When he got on the deck, Tu Fang was a little surprised to find that there were quite a few people on the deck in the early morning. About half of them were fishing with fishing rods, and the other half were enjoying the surrounding scenery by the deck's fence.

"Tu Fang, I want to fish for scales, too, is that okay?"

For some reason, Guigui's eyes lit up in the morning after seeing a man catch a fish. Tu Fang, who was leaning against the deck railing, said this excitedly.

"Fishing for scales? Sure!"

Tu Fang agreed without thinking.

"Tu Fang! Then give me some Longmen coins. I want to buy a fishing rod and line, and some scale bait!"

When Guigui heard Tu Fang agree, he immediately pointed to a small stall selling fishing gear in the corner of the deck and spoke excitedly.

Tu Fang looked in the direction that Guigui pointed, and he noticed at a glance that the prices of fishing gear on that stall were a little bit outrageous.

"Good boy, Turtle. We have fishing rods, fishing lines, and scale bait. We don't need to buy from that shady shop."

"Ah? Is there any?"

"Yes, I'll get it for you now!"

Tu Fang said this and quickly left the deck. About five minutes later, he came back with a complete set of fishing gear.

Of course he made these things by hand, but even if they were hand-kneaded, the quality of these things was dozens of times better than that of the small stall over there.

"Well, take it and go fishing!"

"Okay!"

Turtle happily took the fishing rod, unskillfully put the bait through it, and then threw it hard towards the river surface. He looked at the float with interest, waiting for the fish to bite the hook.

Tu Fang leaned on the fence beside him, sometimes tilting his head to watch Guigui fishing, and sometimes turning to look at the scenery on both sides of the river.

Just like that, a few minutes later, a young man and an old man with brown-gray hair and a cane came to the door.

"Hey young man, I'm sorry to bother you, but the old man next to me seems to want to chat with you."

The young man came to Tu Fang and the other man and said this.

"Uh, mud is good."

The old man with the film beside him also greeted Tu Fang in his poor Yan language.

"Oh? Old man, what do you want to talk to me about? And you don't look like a Yan countryman."

Although Tu Fang felt a little unhappy about being suddenly interrupted, he did not show any outburst and just asked politely.

"My name is Edgar Everett Erickson, and I'm a scholar visiting from Victoria.

Just now, when I came out of the cabin, I noticed you and this lady. You aroused my curiosity, so I wanted to ask you some questions.

But before asking, I think I should apologize for my reckless behavior just now."

Tu Fang listened to the young man translating the old man's words. For some reason, he always felt that this person was not simple. However, Tu Fang was also very clear that in his impression, this person did not seem to appear in the plot!

"Is that so, Mr. Erickson? Actually, the significance of this translator is not that great. I also know some Victorian language. If you have any questions, please ask directly."

"Oh! Sorry, I'm just a little surprised. This is the first time that I, an old Philin, have met someone who knows Victorian in Yan Country since leaving Longmen.

But sir, before I ask you, I think I still need to remind you that the question I ask may be offensive... Please don't be angry. I will explain the reason to you after I ask you."

"no problem!"

"Could you please tell me about you and the girl next to you? Speaking of which, please allow me to make a wild guess. This girl should be your daughter, right? If so, what is the race of you and your daughter?"

"Pitram, and the one next to me should be considered my sister. I am only 20 years old and not married yet."

Tu Fang put his hand on his forehead and said this helplessly.

"Oh, sorry, sir, your temperament is a little too mature, coupled with your tall stature, which caused me, an old man like me, to make a rare misjudgment.

But the Pitram... is just as I guessed. I didn't expect to see this rare species in my lifetime."

The old man muttered this with some excitement, and it seemed that he was surprised by his discovery.

"Um.....so can you tell me why you asked about my race? You said you would explain it to me."

"Of course, no problem. I am currently traveling across Terra, and the purpose of the trip is to write a book. My goal is to fill the long-standing gap in the popularization and education of knowledge content across Terra.

In my imagination, the book will contain fascinating civilization and prosperity, heartbreaking tragedy and pain, as well as unspeakable confusion and gloom.

But these are also things that are closely related to our lives. In my expectation, the target readers of this book are all those who want to understand this land, regardless of age, race, gender, birth identity and status.

I am currently collecting the information I need to write this book. Of course, the fundamental reason for the emergence of this book is actually because of my still strong desire for knowledge and sharing. . . . "

“That’s a pretty great ideal.”

After listening to the old man's explanation, Tu Fang said this with some emotion.

"Maybe, but for me, in a sense, this is also out of my own selfishness."

"Ah."

Tu Fang just responded. Although he was not particularly smart, he could sense from the old man's words that if such a book really appeared, it would bring great significance to this land.

"By the way, sir, I don't know your name yet. Can you tell me?"

"Tu Fang, of course, using your name, it should be Fang.tu."

"What a strange name. Should I call you Mr. Two? Haha. Or Mr. Four-Two? Haha..."

“It’s really weird, haha!”

When Tu Fang heard the name Mr. Er, he tried not to laugh, but when he heard the name Mr. Sier, he couldn't help but laugh, because to him, this name had another meaning.

With the help of this joke, Tu Fang and the old gentleman quickly became familiar with each other. From time to time, they would laugh out loud because of some misunderstandings caused by the special pronunciations in their respective languages.

"Oh, by the way, Mr. Er, I have another unwelcome request. I would like to take a photo of you and your sister. This photo will be used as an illustration in my book when I introduce the Pitram race.

This was the first time in my life that I had encountered a member of the Pitram race, and it was also likely to be the only time for an old Phillin like me.

Of course, if you think my request is too offensive, it’s okay to refuse! ”

"Of course, my dear Mr. E, it's just a photo, but I need payment!"

"Oh? Mr. Er, what reward do you want?"

"Mr. E, I need you to send me a copy of this book when it comes out!"

"no problem!"

The following is "The Journey of the Earth" in Tu Fang's Terra, p.108

Pitram

Petram

The Pitrams are an extremely rare race, and many people have never even heard of the existence of such a race called "Pitram" on Terra. In fact, most of the Pitrams are reclusive and live in areas with abundant water resources.

The physiological structure of the Pitlam is extremely unique. It has no tail, horns or scales, and rarely appears in the public eye. Contemporary academic circles have very insufficient knowledge of the Pitlam, and a few researchers even believe that this species does not exist.

Most of the Pitram settlements have mastered some extremely advanced smelting and production technologies that are unknown to outsiders. There are many outstanding craftsmen and material scientists in the Pitram (even if they may not have learned any modern scientific knowledge). According to the historical records of ancient Sargon, the metals and other materials produced by the Pitram have excellent performance, but they refused to share the relevant technology and knowledge with the king.

I have visited some of the Pitram villages along the coast of Yan Country, and this, incidentally, is my second time seeing them.

The Pitrams in these places are very close to the Agors who have come ashore, and some of them even call each other "compatriots". This phenomenon has never happened among other races, or at least has not been recorded. There are many theories and explanations in academia, but there is no convincing conclusion at present.

This is a photo of a pair of Pitram brothers and sisters from Yan Country. I would like to thank them for allowing me to use their images in this book.
