My Arknights Life Diary

Chapter 278 Tu Fang: Traveling through time again...

"It should be right here."

Tu Fang muttered to himself while comparing the map and the detector. The subspace reaction had been intermittent since the storm ended.

Tu Fang spent several hours conducting a carpet search of all places in the northern part of the East Country where subspace nodes might appear.

The final area targeted was near a small village called Luhua Village.

Tu Fang knew a little about Luhua Village, a small village whose main production was processing herb. This was some information he had previously found on the Dongguo Internet.

Of course, he knew one thing more clearly, that is, this so-called Luhua Village. In addition to the things mentioned above, this village is also the main location of the Monster Hunter linkage plot.

After all, before Tu Fang traveled through time, he was also a... um... "hunter". Although I didn't read the plot at the time because I was lazy, I still know the general story.

"Unstable subspace node......"

Tu Fang muttered to himself. He always felt that this thing had something to do with the Monster Hunter collaboration.

However, despite his thoughts, Tu Fang had no plans to go to Luhua Village. He just wanted to quickly resolve this unstable subspace node, and then go back to Nihu Castle to pick up Guigui and Xiaoke to go back to Longmen to rest.

............

"There are a lot of beast carcasses, and combined with the traces here...Did a beast tide occur here?"

In the forest near the village, Tu Fang looked at the devastated land and couldn't help but mutter to himself.

"The detector has not yet found the location of the subspace node... Wait a minute... He is still alive!"

Tu Fang suddenly noticed a dying person, a dying person buried under the corpses of several wild animals.

In his current state, Tu Fang could tell at a glance that the man should have died long ago based on his injuries, but he was still alive.

Tu Fang pushed aside the corpse that was pressing on the man, and a young man covered in wounds and dressed as a hunter appeared in front of him.

Tu Fang looked at the man in front of him and felt that he should save him. After all, it was just a piece of cake for him.

Then, Tu Fang pulled out a needle from his pocket that was about the thickness of two fingers put together, and stabbed it directly at the young hunter who was dying on the ground.

Then, a full syringe of miniature iron men was injected into the body of the dying young hunter, trying to repair this already damaged body.

...........

"Where am I? I'm not......"

It was around noon when Bai Shengming opened his eyes. His last memory was when he was swallowed by the beasts. If nothing unexpected happened, he should be dead now.

"Oh, you're awake. I found you under the beast's corpse over there. Do you want some barbecue? By the way, what's your name?"

Tu Fang said this and casually handed a skewer of extremely fresh barbecue to Bai Shengming. As for this barbecue, where did it come from?

Please, there are dead beasts everywhere here, why don't you just cut off any piece you like?

"Uh, my name is Bo Shengming, thank you."

Bai Shengming subconsciously took the barbecue. After he came to his senses, he spoke this somewhat embarrassedly.

"Uh...can I ask how you saved me? According to my last memory, I shouldn't have survived..."

"Can't survive? Don't worry, even if you only have a head left, I can still save you.

As for how I saved you, I was passing by here and found traces of a large-scale migration of animals in the woods over there. Out of curiosity, I planned to go over there to take a look, and then I happened to find you.

I just saved you, it's that simple."

Tu Fang took a bite of the barbecue he had just grilled and spoke like this.

"Well, can you tell me what happened here? After all, large-scale herd migrations are rare."

"Well, this is a long story..."

Bai Shengming felt that this matter was not a secret at all, so he simply opened his mouth and told Tu Fang the reason for the beast tide.

............

Just as Tu Fang and Bai Shengming were chatting, on the other side, a middle-aged man with a tired look came into the nearby woods.

This was the third time he came out to look for his son, even though he knew deep down that his son had little hope of survival, and even though other villagers advised him to be more positive.

But deep down he still hadn't given up on the possibility that his son was still alive. He just felt that his son was still alive.

"This is!"

The father found a spear, one he was all too familiar with.

He felt that he had found hope, and he ran forward. Along the way he found several of his son's things.

These things led him to a pile of wild animal corpses.

For some reason, the father did not dare to pull the beasts apart at this moment. He was afraid that there might be scenes underneath these beasts that he did not want to see.

When he has the courage

But he found that the people he wanted to see were not there.

He was a little confused, but when he came to his senses, he soon discovered something else.

"Strange footprints, traces of dragging......"

The father followed the trace and walked forward.

"The beast's body was cut open... the knife must have been very sharp..."

Keep moving forward.

............

"Tsk, it's all my own fault."

Tu Fang sighed as he listened to Bai Shengming's story.

The story is actually very simple. To summarize, Luhua Village wants to develop, so it plans to open a mine, and then begins to kill some wild beasts that hinder the mining.

Then just yesterday, during the summer festival, the villagers of Luhua Village chose an auspicious day to open a mine, and the mining alarmed the wild animals.

Then the wild beasts attacked Luhua Village in groups. Then, last night, Bai Shengming made up his mind and led the beast tide away on his own. Then, he was discovered and rescued by Tu Fang.

"The village needs development and a future, so they do this..."

"Bai Shengming!"

Bai Shengming was about to say something when he was interrupted by shouting from afar.

"Father!"

Bai Shengming suddenly turned around and looked at the middle-aged man not far behind him.

When the middle-aged man saw Bai Shengming, he rushed directly towards Tu Fang.

Snapped!

The sound of crisp slaps rang out in the woods.

"(Dongguo swearing) I told you not to go, it was those guys who asked for it!"

The stern voice of a middle-aged man was heard, followed by the sound of sobbing.

He hugged his son tightly, as if he was afraid of losing him again.

Tu Fang:........

Based on the previous conversation, Tu Fang had already guessed the identity of this middle-aged man, but he still wanted to complain.

Old man, you just called your son a (Eastern Chinese swear word), then what are you, the father of (Eastern Chinese swear word)...

However, Tu Fang would definitely not say this when he saw the loving father and filial son scene in front of him...

..............

Later, Yoshioka Kashiwa invited his benefactor Tu Fang to visit his home, but Tu Fang declined. The reason was very simple: the detector had produced results.

That means he should go to work.

After finishing the last piece of barbecue, Tu Fang looked at the backs of the father and son leaving in the distance, turned around, and rushed towards the direction of the unstable subspace node.

.............

An extremely secret location deep in a cave on the back mountain of Luhua Village.

This is exactly the location of the unstable subspace node. Tu Fang no longer concealed anything. With a wave of his hand, a complete set of equipment appeared in this empty cave.

After that, Tu Fang took out another "battery"

“I didn’t expect it would be useful so soon.”

Tu Fang said this and installed the battery made by the evil spirit into the device.

"Now try to make first contact so as to detect its nature."

Tu Fang said this and operated the equipment himself, which was rare.

Then...

"Wait a minute, what's going on?"

Tu Fang said this in a panic. The reason was simple. The device sounded an alarm when it tried to contact the node, and the nature of the subspace node changed in an instant.

Tu Fanggang wanted to do something, but it was too late. "Space" was dragging him and the concept of time became unreal.

Tu Fang didn't even have time to do anything before he left Terra.

At the same time, an extremely violent subspace fluctuation spread throughout Terra, and the most direct consequence of this fluctuation was that the demons became even more "crazy".

In less than one thousandth of a second after Tu Fang left Terra, the iron man who had been used for detection around Luhua Village arrived at this location and rebuilt the equipment.

Then Nancy came here.

"Anchor point settings."

This was the first thing Nancy did. She had to point out the direction of home for Tu Fang. Otherwise, even after ten thousand years, Tu Fang might not be able to return to Terra...

..............

The sunlight shines through the forest, blocking the view of tall trees and illuminating the earth and a stranger.

"Abu! Look, there's a human cat here!"

An early-rising brown Felynx spotted the outsider. He cheered and spoke to the other Felynx following behind him.

"Hey! Is he a hunter? If so, can we bring him back to the tribe and collect commissions?"

"Hmm... It doesn't look like that, meow. He doesn't have any weapons around him, meow, and the clothes he's wearing don't look like armor..."

"Agu, what should we do then, meow?"

"Well... Abu, you go back to the tribe and call some Elu over. I think we should take him back to the tribe. It's too dangerous to leave this human here.

After all, it will be the hunting time for the dog dragons in a while, and even if he is not a hunter, we should get a reward if we send him to a nearby guild."

"Yeah! Okay meow! I'll be back meow!"

The Felynx called Abu heard the words of the Felynx called Agu, and happily ran towards the Felynx tribe step by step.

(I’d like to mention here that I will only briefly mention Tu Fang’s trip to the Monster Hunter World in the main text, but of course, I’m not planning on not writing about it.

My plan is to write it as a side story after this book is finished, or to write it as a long side story similar to The Wild Doctor after The Wild Doctor is finished.

After all, this book is essentially a fan fiction of Ark. If I write about monsters in the main text, it will always feel weird........)
