Crossing the World of Warcraft: I am an Ancient God
Chapter 824 Trajectory
Yun Youyou opened his eyes and felt his head was dizzy, as if he had been hit hard by a heavy hammer. This feeling of being knocked unconscious was surprisingly familiar to him, as if it wasn't his first time.
Yun smiled bitterly in his heart. He seemed to be always so unlucky. Whenever he thought he was strong enough, a more powerful enemy would always appear, making him feel deeply desperate.
After this incident, Yun's determination to defy fate became even stronger. He once believed that as long as he worked hard enough, he would be able to defeat fate. However, reality cruelly taught him that without fate's favor, he would have died long ago.
This time, he even used Chaos Energy, his last resort. Even so, it only inflicted a small amount of damage on the Weapon Master. Yun absolutely didn't believe the Weapon Master would retreat so easily because of this injury. It must be fate secretly helping him.
Yun looked around and found himself in a cave. The light was dim, and he couldn't see his surroundings clearly. However, judging by his body, his wound had obviously been bandaged.
Yun tried to sit up and take a closer look. However, as soon as he moved, an unprecedented pain washed over him like a tide, instantly drowning him. The pain seemed to tear his body apart, leaving him unable to exert even a single ounce of strength.
Yun couldn't help but groan, and her body seemed to have lost all its strength, and she lay back down on the bed limply.
"Is anyone there?" Yun's voice echoed in the air, a little hoarse, as if it had been honed by sandpaper. This sudden change startled even Yun himself, and he couldn't help but wonder when his voice had become so hoarse.
Just as Yun was startled, a voice rang out from the darkness: "You're awake." The voice was muffled but clearly audible. Yun suddenly raised his head and looked towards the source of the voice with a sharp gaze.
When he saw who it was, he was completely stunned. Standing before him was a creature wrapped in bandages, even its eyes were completely blocked, making it impossible to glimpse its true face.
"Do you know me?" The bandaged man guessed it immediately after looking at Yun's expression.
Yun paused noticeably, then slowly said, "Are you a spirit broker?"
The Broker seemed to see through Yun's thoughts and continued, "Not bad, human. You are one of the few who are still alive here, and you even know us Brokers. That's not easy."
Yun's heartbeat became increasingly rapid. He took a deep breath, calmed himself, and continued to ask, "So... is this the other world?"
The Broker nodded and replied, "Yes, this is the other world, but it is also an unknown corner of the other world."
Yun's heart sank. The other world, the unknown place, the broker, putting these elements together, Yun immediately thought of a character in the game.
"An unknown corner? Then you are Winali?" Yun tried to ask
The Broker once again showed a hint of surprise, but quickly regained his composure and said, "You actually know my name. It seems you know more about the other world than I thought."
"It's surprising that you still recognize me." There was a hint of curiosity in Winali's voice, as if she was surprised by Yun's memory.
Yun answered without hesitation: "Of course. Who can forget the profiteer in the Abyss? So, are we in the Abyss now, or in Keshia?" His question was straightforward, without any concealment.
Winali frowned slightly, seeming a little surprised by Yun's question, "Keshia? What are you doing in a place like that?" Her tone revealed confusion.
Seeing this, Yun immediately understood their location, "Oh, I see. Then we must be in the Abyss. I guess you are here to sell some items to these newly arrived souls?" He raised the corners of his mouth slightly with a hint of sarcasm.
After hearing this, Winali showed a half-smile, "Haha, so this is how you see me. But I'm very curious, you are obviously not dead, so how come you are here?" She stared at Yun intently, as if trying to find some clues from his answer.
Yun's heart suddenly tightened. He thought of his companions and hurriedly asked, "By the way, where are my companions? Where are they?" His voice revealed anxiety.
Winali shook her head. "Companions? I didn't see any. I only saw you, and you were almost eaten by the hellhound. I saved you." Her tone was calm.
Yun's heart grew heavier, and he couldn't help but wonder if Leiter and Witte had also met with misfortune. This thought filled him with unease and self-blame, for he had always believed himself strong enough to protect them. However, reality dealt him a heavy blow. Leiter and Witte had met with misfortune only days after their rise to power. It was feared that everyone except him had perished, their souls unrecoverable.
Yun couldn't help but wonder if he was truly a calamity. Why did he always bring misfortune to those around him? He recalled how Lei Te and Wei Te had often been injured along with him when they were together, and how Sintiara had died tragically many times. Now, he had thought he had the ability to protect them, but the result was so tragic.
Willina noticed the change in Yun's expression and hurriedly explained, "I really didn't see them." Yun was silent for a moment, then slowly said, "Well, I know, I'm just a little... frustrated."
Willina seemed to understand Yun's feelings. She comforted him, "Depressed? What's there to be depressed about? This is the Abyss, the other world. Here, almost nothing is impossible. Aside from those Eternals, there's almost no living life here. The fact that you made it here alive is a miracle in itself."
After hearing these words, Yun's spirits lifted, as if all his strength had been rekindled. Although he was unsure whether this place could truly bring his men back to life, whether it was Bingzhu or Zoval, Yun would never let them go easily.
Although Yun knew very well that with his current strength, there was still a big gap between him and those Eternals, he had nothing else to do now. In that case, he had to make a big fuss in this place no matter what.
"Thank you for saving me." Yun slowly lay back on the bed again. He knew that no matter what he would do next, he must first make his body recover as soon as possible.
"It's nothing. I just brought you back and simply bandaged your wounds. Your survival depends entirely on your own strength." Winali said with a smile.
"Once I'm fully recovered, I'll definitely go clean up Tosgaardi. I won't let you save me in vain." Yun began to promise Winali a good deal. After all, Winali was known as a profiteer, so she definitely wouldn't save him for no reason. After all, no one could predict the future, so maybe spreading good words would make Winali treat him better.
"Hey, why are you so polite?" Winali smiled more often and her tone became particularly enthusiastic.
Seeing such a dramatic change in Winali's attitude, Yun felt relieved. However, just as he was about to breathe a sigh of relief, he suddenly felt a sharp pain all over his body, as if countless tiny needles were piercing him at once, causing him to frown.
"I'm going to rest for a while..." Yun said to Winali, enduring the pain. He knew that he couldn't do anything else in his current condition, so he could only lie down and rest, hoping that his body would recover as soon as possible.
Winali nodded, expressing her understanding, and then turned and left. Yun watched her leave, secretly thankful that Winali did not take advantage of his weakness to harm him.
Here, there seemed to be no distinction between day and night; time seemed to have lost its meaning. Yun lay on his simple bed, enduring the pain, and couldn't help but sigh inwardly: This place truly is a literal abyss. Not only is the environment harsh, but even the most basic living conditions are so scarce.
As Winali had said, this was a place prepared for souls, so naturally there wouldn't be any healing potions, let alone meals that would be completely superfluous to souls. Yun could only rely on his own willpower and his body's self-healing abilities to slowly recover.
After an unknown amount of time, Yun felt the pain in his body gradually ease. He carefully tried to sit up from the bed, then slowly moved his legs, trying to walk. Although each step was a bit strenuous, he was finally able to move.
Yun looked around and realized he was indeed in the same corner of the Abyss where Venali had been. While this place was remote, it was at least temporarily hidden from the other Eternals. With this thought, Yun felt a little more at ease. After all, in his current physical condition, he was no match for those powerful Eternals.
Yun carefully peeled off the bandages wrapped around his body, and as they were peeled off, the huge wounds on his body were gradually exposed. Although these wounds no longer bled, the slightest touch would bring an unusual pain, as if countless fine needles were stirring in the wounds.
With Yun's originally strong body, such wounds should have healed quickly. However, contrary to his wishes, even after a long time, these wounds still showed no significant improvement, which made Yun feel very confused and helpless.
"When will my wound heal?" Yun couldn't help but sigh and said to himself.
Wenali, who was standing by, heard Yun sigh. She looked at Yun's wound and said, "Your wound was caused by the Lord of Weapons. His attack has a strong cold attribute. This attribute ensures that the wound cannot heal, so it is very difficult for your body to even begin to heal."
When Yun heard this, his heart suddenly tightened. He immediately asked nervously: "Can you tell that this person was injured by the Lord of Soldiers?" He was afraid that Winali would leak his affairs and bring him more trouble.
However, Winali seemed unfazed by Yun's vigilance. She replied calmly, "Why wouldn't you see that? But don't worry, I won't do anything to you. I still have high hopes for you."
Yun was very surprised after hearing what Wenali said. He asked doubtfully, "Keep an eye on me? I've been beaten like this, and you still keep an eye on me?"
"Of course I'm optimistic about you!" Winali's voice was clear and firm, as if it struck a heavy drum in Yun's heart.
"The Lord of Weapons is the Eternal One, standing at the top of the world! Even when he was judging the chaotic souls here, he only used his subordinates. When would he need to do it himself?" Winali's words revealed her awe of the Lord of Weapons' strength.
"However, surprisingly, even the Lord of Arms personally failed to kill you!" Venali's tone was filled with amazement. "Although you were seriously injured, this cannot conceal the strength you displayed. If the Lord of Arms had no other choice, he would definitely not let you go."
Yun listened quietly to Winali's analysis, shock surging in his heart. He had never imagined that he could perform so well in a confrontation with the Lord of Arms.
"You can do all this, so don't you think you shouldn't be favored?" Winali's question was like a sharp sword, piercing Yun's heart.
Yun was stunned again, and he began to reassess himself. It turned out that in Winali's eyes, his performance was so outstanding. Indeed, the fact that even the Lord of Arms himself had failed to kill him was undoubtedly a testament to his strength.
"It's the same old saying, don't care about winning or losing. As long as you can survive the attack of a powerful opponent, you are strong in itself." Yun murmured to himself, confidence gradually rising in his heart.
However, his worry hadn't completely dissipated. "Well, even if I'm truly powerful, I'm seriously injured now, and I don't know when I'll recover. What if the Lord of Arms' men arrive?" Yun said with a frown, his face filled with worry.
"There's no point in worrying about this kind of thing. If it's supposed to come, it will come. If it's not supposed to come, it won't come. You'd better take good care of your injuries." Winali persuaded him and then left.
Cloud operations are still a bit difficult. I can only think about everything I have done before. At least it is very boring. I can recall many wrong things I did.
"The first-born!" Yun waited for a few days. The more he recalled, the more stupid he felt. Yun said he couldn't think about it anymore, otherwise he would collapse.
"Little friend." After waiting for a while, the firstborn actually responded.
"You...what did you do?" Yun felt a little nervous when he saw that the First Born had responded.
"I didn't do anything. You are doing it all by yourself now. I didn't intervene at all." said the First Born.
"But...but...didn't you ask me to come here? Didn't you lead me here step by step?" Yun asked hurriedly.
"It's not me. My purpose is not to let you come here." said the First Born.
"What is your purpose? What exactly do you want me to do?" Yun was a little anxious.
"It's not me who tells you to do anything. You are destined to succeed. All I can do is help you get back on track as quickly as possible."
