Crossing the World of Warcraft: I am an Ancient God
Chapter 807 Karesh People
After a lengthy search, nothing was found. While it's not entirely fruitless, the information gained was extremely limited. Just as Yun was returning, Archimonde had arrived at the portal room. As for his precise actions there, no one knows. More importantly, whether he tampered with the Sargerite Keystone remains unknown.
Now, everyone was in an extremely awkward situation. If they didn't use the portal, they couldn't return to their original location; however, even if they used it, they didn't know where they would be teleported to. Furthermore, they didn't know the source of the problem, so everyone could only wait there, helpless.
"Yun, do you have any other ideas?" Cindy Lai was obviously a little anxious, and she couldn't help but ask Yun.
Yun shook his head helplessly and replied, "Not yet. This is the only way back I know. Otherwise, why don't we go ask Illidan and see how he got here?"
So, Yun turned his head and looked at Illidan, hoping to get some useful clues from him.
Seeing this, Illidan quickly explained, "I came here via the teleportation device in the Temple of Karabor. That device only needs to set a coordinate to teleport me to a specified location. However, it certainly cannot teleport the entire planet."
"Don't think about anything else. Moving a planet has never happened before, so the only way for us to leave now is with this Sargerit Keystone." Sintiale looked helpless, as if she was at a loss as to what to do about the current situation.
Yun whispered aside, "No, what I mean is, can we go back and ask someone first?" Although his voice was not loud, it still attracted the attention of others.
Xintiale turned around, looked at Yun, and asked in confusion, "Who are you asking?"
Yun thought for a moment, then suggested, "Why not ask Velen? After all, he's the prophet of the Eredar. Maybe he knows how to use this thing."
After hearing Yun's suggestion, the others nodded in agreement. This was indeed a method worth trying.
However, Illidan suddenly interrupted, "But this only takes us to Karabor Temple, which is the destroyed Draenor. We have no way of getting to Ezeroth."
Yun was puzzled by Illidan's words. He asked directly, "Isn't there a Dark Portal there?"
Illidan looked at Yun, revealed a helpless smile, and said, "Dark Portal? How do you think I built the teleportation?"
When Yun heard this, he suddenly realized that Illidan was able to come to Argus by resetting the coordinates on the Dark Portal.
"Of course, and what good would I do with that portal?" Illidan said with a faint smile, "So, don't dwell on it anymore."
After hearing what Illidan said, Yun sighed helplessly, seeming to realize that it was useless to continue arguing, so he said, "Well, then there's nothing we can do."
However, just when Yun was about to give up, Illidan suddenly changed the subject: "But I do have a plan."
"Huh? What method?" Yun's eyes lit up and he asked quickly.
Illidan paused for a moment, then slowly spoke, "When I was fighting the Burning Legion, I encountered a race. They have a profound grasp of energy and space. I thought, perhaps we could ask them for help in resolving the Sargerite Keystone issue."
"Ask them to help?" Sintiare interrupted with a puzzled look on her face. "But how can we ask them? We can't just bring the Sargerite Keystone with us, right?"
Illidan waved his hand and explained, "Don't bother. Isn't there a portal here? I know the coordinates of their planet. I can go through the portal and talk to them directly, and then ask them to send some people to help."
After listening to Illidan's plan, Yun still had some doubts in his heart: "Can they really come?" After all, in his understanding, all the races in the game have already appeared, so how could there be other unknown races?
Illidan seemed to see Yun's concerns and smiled confidently, saying, "It should be no problem. They are very powerful and friendly. I'm sure they will be willing to help."
After careful consideration, everyone decided that allowing Illidan to leave through the portal was indeed a feasible solution under the current circumstances. Therefore, they decided without hesitation to let Illidan activate the portal and embark on an unknown journey.
Everyone originally thought that Illidan's journey might take a long time and he might even encounter various difficulties and challenges. However, unexpectedly, after only one day, Illidan returned with two mysterious people.
The appearance of these two people surprised everyone, because their appearance was very different from that of ordinary humans. Although their appearance was similar to that of humans, they emitted a strange energy fluctuation, making it difficult for people to see their specific appearance.
Yun, in particular, felt a surge of unease upon seeing the two strangers. He realized he was completely unfamiliar with this race, having never even seen them in the game. This situation, beyond his comprehension, intensified Yun's worry and fear, and he began to wonder if this was another trap set by fate.
Just as Yun was daydreaming, one of the strangers suddenly spoke: "Hello, I am Fashal from Karesh." His voice was low and magnetic, as if it contained some kind of power.
When Yun heard this, he was stunned. He widened his eyes and looked at the two people in front of him in astonishment, not knowing how to respond.
"Yun, what's wrong with you?" Seeing Yun suddenly lose his composure, Sindyale felt nervous and hurriedly reminded him.
Yun seemed to have completely ignored Sintiyalai's voice. He stared straight ahead, muttering to himself, "Prince of the Node?"
Fashar, who was standing by, noticed Yun's strange behavior. He turned to look at Illidan and asked with a puzzled look on his face, "Huh? What happened to your friend?"
At this moment, Yun finally came to his senses and realized that he had been truly shocked. He had never imagined that these guys in front of him were actually Hollow Spirits, the bandaged people in the game!
These ethereals had appeared in the game before, but due to Karesh's explosion, they became exiles. When Yun saw them, they were wrapped in bandages, perhaps to restrain the energy running wild throughout their bodies.
Yun calmed himself down and quickly said, "It's okay, it's okay." Then, as if feeling a little guilty, he hurriedly hid behind everyone.
Although everyone felt a little strange about Yun's behavior, they did not expose him. Instead, they tacitly let Yun hide behind.
The Karesh lived up to their reputation, their power truly formidable. While studying the Sargerit Keystone, Fashar quickly discovered a flaw. The Burning Legion had embedded a coordinate within the keystone. Once someone used the stone, it would trigger these coordinates, opening a corresponding spatial portal.
However, they knew very little about the Sargerite Keystone, and erasing its coordinates was no easy task. It would require a great deal of time and effort to delve into it. Fortunately, Yun wasn't in a rush, so they could take their time figuring it out.
At the same time, Illidan received a new task - to find the coordinates of Azeroth. You know, this is not an easy task, because the coordinates need to be entered manually, not as Yun imagined, just silently recited in the mind to achieve teleportation.
As a result, Yun's side temporarily became free again. Just when he was enjoying himself, Hasabel suddenly came to him, and judging from her expression, she seemed a little nervous.
"Sir." Hasabel's voice trembled slightly.
"What's wrong?" Yun's heart tightened upon seeing this. After all, Hasabel had been concentrating on studying the Sargerite Keystone. Could something be wrong over there, if she was so nervous at the moment?
"Sir, those Karesh people seem to be quite interested in those coordinates." Hasabel's voice trembled slightly, revealing his inner uneasiness.
Upon hearing this, Yun's expression instantly grew serious. He stared at Hasabel and pressed, "Which coordinates are they studying? Are they doing anything with the Sargerit Keystone?"
Hasabel quickly replied, "It's the coordinates left by the Burning Legion, my lord. But don't worry, they still have some self-respect. They are sincerely studying these coordinates with us and have not tampered with the Sargerit Keystone."
Hearing this, Yun breathed a sigh of relief, but still had doubts in his heart. "That's fine. As long as the Sargerit Keystone is fine and doesn't affect our plans, it'll be fine."
However, Hasabel's worries were not completely dispelled. He frowned slightly and continued, "But sir, what is their purpose in studying these coordinates? Do they have some hidden agenda? I know nothing about the connection between these coordinates. It's really worrying..."
Seeing this, Yun patted Hasabel's shoulder and said soothingly, "Don't worry too much. Although I don't know what's hidden behind these coordinates, I can be sure that it's definitely not a simple existence. The one that made Sargeras stay and deal with me is definitely not something these Karesh people can handle. They will eventually find themselves unable to cope and retreat."
"But... I always feel that something is wrong here." Hasabel frowned tightly, a worried look on his face, and a hint of uneasiness in his voice.
Yun patted Hasabel's shoulder and comforted him, "It's okay, don't worry too much. Let's study this place carefully, and when Illidan comes back, we will leave immediately." He tried to make his tone sound more relaxed, but he was actually a little nervous in his heart.
Hasabel seemed to want to say something, but seeing Yun's determined expression, he finally held back. He knew Yun was a very opinionated person, and since Yun said so, there shouldn't be any big problems.
Yet, Yun was deeply terrified. He recalled what had happened to Karesh. That planet had exploded! The Karesh survivors had been forced to wrap themselves in bandages and transform into ethereal beings. This horrific scene lingered in his mind.
Yun didn't want anything to do with the Kareshi people, and he certainly didn't want to be turned into a spirit. Even if he wasn't, Yun had already blown up three planets and absolutely couldn't let himself get involved in such a thing again. So, he just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible and get away from the Kareshi people.
Illidan finally returned safely, bringing back the coordinates of Azeroth, and with the assistance of the Karesh people, successfully replaced the coordinates left by the Burning Legion. This series of developments made Yun's tension even stronger, because it meant that they could finally return home.
This period of travel had been incredibly long for Yun, and the experiences had left him with a flood of emotion. Now, as he was about to embark on his return journey, he felt a strange sense of loss. Yet, the kindness and straightforwardness of the Kareshi people warmed his heart. After completing their mission, they departed without hesitation, a quality of integrity rarely seen in today's world.
Now, all preparations complete, Yun took a deep breath and once again picked up the Sargerite Keystone. This time, he injected the energy with extreme caution, each movement meticulous. As the energy began to tear apart the sky, Yun observed his surroundings intently, and at the slightest sign of trouble, he would immediately halt his actions without hesitation.
However, unexpectedly, the entire process went incredibly smoothly, so smoothly that Yun was a little unbelievable. After all, at such a crucial moment, no one showed up to disrupt the process. This was truly unusual. Yun couldn't help but doubt his own judgment, muttering to himself, "Could it really be this smooth? Could there be any problems?"
"Don't talk nonsense." Sindyale was not far from Yun and happened to hear what Yun said, so she hurriedly said.
"It's okay, it's okay." Yun Ye said hurriedly.
But just as Yun was distracted, a tentacle suddenly stretched out from the hole in the sky.
The huge tentacle waved in the sky, and the cloud immediately cut off the energy transmission. The portal quickly closed, and the huge tentacle broke and fell directly from the sky.
Everyone looked gloomy. It was obvious that the current situation was completely beyond everyone's expectations.
Yun was also quite puzzled. The tentacles were clearly something of the ancient gods, but this tentacle was obviously not the ancient god's that Yun had seen. Yun was very curious about what was going on over there and how such a strange tentacle could appear?
