Chapter 92 Negotiations between Businessmen
Ina walked into the bathroom carrying an oil lamp.
The cool water washes over my face, giving me a sense of clarity.
Unlike previous stings that faded with time, this time the fatigue showed no noticeable retreat.
This caused her to feel like doing nothing and just lying back in bed.
Next time I'll have to prepare a bottle of soothing potion in advance...
As Ina thought so, her stomach made a series of "gurgling" protests at the right time.
Apart from a plate of honey muffins in the morning, she had no other food all day.
Finally, hunger and will overcame fatigue.
Ina left the room and decided to go downstairs to eat first.
The Merchants' Club is a rare three-story building outside the non-core area of the city, and it covers a huge area. Naturally, it includes business negotiations, entertainment, catering and other services in addition to rest.
The room Ina borrowed was on the third floor, where most of the rest rooms were located.
Part of the second floor is also guest rooms, and the other part is a reception room, a goods identification room, and a smoking room.
The restaurant is located on the first floor along with the bar, casino and private billiard room.
Restaurants and casinos are open as usual.
The difference is that restaurants are only open to outsiders during the day, while casinos welcome anyone at any time.
Perhaps it was because it was a while after dark, or perhaps it was because the entry threshold of the club itself was high.
There were even fewer customers in the restaurant lobby than I had seen in the morning.
After looking around for a few seconds, Ina was about to find a table to sit down and order dinner from the waiter.
A familiar, flowing golden hair caught her eye.
The corners of her mouth couldn't help but curl up slightly, she gave up her original idea and walked towards that table.
"Good evening, Miss Aixia... and Mr. Merchant, I wonder if I may join your conversation?"
Ina asked playfully, trying not to laugh.
The man with a high nose bridge, a few freckles on his face and a fairly good-looking appearance couldn't help but show a little surprise at the sudden appearance of the white-haired girl.
However, his extensive business experience prevented him from showing anger or dissatisfaction towards the person who interrupted his conversation.
Instead, he immediately thought about and looked at Ina rationally, and gave a polite response as a businessman should.
"Please don't mind me, beautiful lady. I was just lucky enough to get the chance to discuss business with Miss Berleman first."
"And business always welcomes more partners. May the goddess of wealth bless us."
Aixia, who was sitting on the other side, was even more surprised:
"Sister Ina, why are you here?"
"younger sister?"
The businessman subconsciously grasped the key points of the words
You don't plan to change this name, right... Ina thought helplessly. She didn't argue and sat down next to Aixia.
Seeing someone sitting down, the waiter hurried to the table of three people.
Ina ordered a lamb chop with salt potatoes, a cheese chicken risotto, and a cup of coffee with sugar and milk specifically requested.
She was indeed hungry.
"This isn't strange, right? This isn't a gang den, nor is it a core area where only nobles and big businessmen live."
Ina responded in confusion.
"That's true, but I rarely see people like Sister Ina who don't come to discuss business but spend twenty gold coins, or pay four gold coins as membership fees every year."
Aixia honestly stated the reason, and then introduced each of them to each other:
"Oh, I forgot to introduce you. This is Mr. Connie Child, the deputy chief caravan leader of the second caravan directly under the Morisin Chamber of Commerce, the Silver Coin Caravan, which runs the Merchants' Club."
"This is the city's famous new magician, Miss Ina West."
These words made Connie look up to Ina.
"I am honored to meet you here, Miss West. I believe we will have the opportunity to cooperate in the future."
Connie smiled and expressed his sincerity first.
For a businessman of Connie's level, every official magician is a new discovery and a treasure waiting to be mined.
Despite their low rank, the hot-selling magic scrolls, magic props, and alchemy products never lack buyers.
Based on these alone, Ina's position in his heart was raised a lot.
What's more, the white-haired girl in front of him was not inferior to Aixia in beauty.
Her skin was as white as an iceberg snow lotus, with a hint of pink, and her facial features were regular on her delicate face.
Combined with the pair of mysterious green eyes and the smooth white hair, she presents an extraordinary beauty that belongs only to elves, not humans.
If he were not so young, there would be an important business partner around him whom he would have to treat with great care.
When Connie heard Ina's identity, he probably stood up and courted her diligently.
Of course, he didn't think it was a pity to miss it.
As a formal magician in his teens, his future potential can be imagined, and the profits behind it cannot be ignored.
As he said, there must still be a chance.
"I look forward to that day, too, Mr. Child."
It's a difficult kind, I hope I won't see it again in the future.
Seeing the other person's increasingly greedy and shrewd eyes, Ina smiled and responded perfunctorily while muttering to herself.
After a brief greeting, Connie didn't bother any further.
Instead, turn around and continue trying to recommend his business.
It was obvious that he knew the priorities of things.
Aixia Berleman, the daughter of the president of the Berleman Chamber of Commerce, which dominates the transportation and commercial circulation of the two provinces, is an important target he met by chance this time.
He said calmly and sincerely:
"Are you really not going to consider it? Miss Aixia, as long as you demonstrate your ability and as the daughter of the Chamber of Commerce, you can persuade her, I believe that President Berleman will not be stubborn."
"The cooperation between the Berleman Chamber of Commerce and the Morrison Chamber of Commerce is a simple and certain deal with huge profits."
"We can earn tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of gold coins just by building new warehouses and renting a few hundred warehouses. We don't even need to hire more people for this."
Big deal! But it sounds like the two sides didn't reach an agreement before I came here...
Miss Aixia is actually a real lady... I didn't expect this... No... Not really, when Miss Aixia bought those copies of the magic books, I was somewhat aware of it.
Ina, who was listening on the side, expanded on what she heard.
I had no choice but to interrupt the conversation out of curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
Apart from magic, she only had a superficial understanding of most knowledge.
The content of their conversation obviously touched upon Ina's blind spots in knowledge.
